Review of Saucon Valley Manor

My father had dementia and spent the last few years of his life at Saucon Valley Manor. The staff was very friendly and carrying to him even when the situation was difficult. I am very grateful for all they did.

Review of Whitehall Manor

My mother has been a resident of Whitehall Manor for several years and we are pleased with the results. The staff is caring and sensitive to her needs. The meals are always a favorite part of her day. She enjoys the scheduled activities and the staff always seemed to know when she needs extra coaxing to get her to participate. During covid-19, activities staff visited each room regularly to offer a FaceTime call with family or engage with residents in some activity to help them motivated and thinking during this difficult time. All those extra steps taken to keep my mother and all the residents safe is much appreciated.

Review of Parkland Manor

The facility is lovely, new! The patio's nice, nice dining area, and community areas. The rooms are spacious and kept very clean. The activities provided are fantastic! Bingo, games, trivia, music, lighting the Day. Activities director works hard to provide us with fun things to do. Great holiday parties too! The aides are caring and kind but they are short of help at time

I don't shop online so I enjoy the mall, library, YMCA, restaurants. For a car owner, many changes. Many medical services. Policy protection. Bad or negative side - traffic getting worse, but so many places face the same problem. Comfortable and safe living the Whitehall Manor.

Saucon Valley Manor review

The friendliness of the staff members and cleanliness of the community really stood out to us, and we felt this was a safe place. The overall layout is good and suitable. Our loved one is more on the picky side so he said the food is somewhat mediocre. The one complaint we do have is after 5pm there is no one at the front desk, and with our loved one having dementia he can't get a hold of anyone if he needs help, and there is no one to get a hold of him

Thanks for the great care

We chose Saucon Valley Manor because they could handle her level of needs with Alzheimer's. Also the price was affordable. The room sizes here were good, bigger than we expected. The food seemed to be good quality from the times I ate here, my mom also enjoyed it. The best part about the facility was how secure it was. It was all on one floor and it had limited access.

It is difficult for me to rate Saucon Valley Manor because my sister was admitted in May under lockdown conditions after a fall and rehab that left her unable to care for herself. She is not overly enthusiastic about her life there but most of her complaints are due to Covid restrictions. She likes the food and she appreciates the daily interaction with staff. After searching everywhere for something she could afford, I have to say that SVM is a really good value. They have not charged for any additional items or services which was my biggest worry. The same care would have cost a lot more at other facilities.

A Good Place to Live

I would tell my friends it is worth the money. It is cheaper than other communities around and it is still nice. The food is good. I ate there a few times and I thought it was good. My loved one says the soup isn't good. The apartment is excellent, it is the best about the community. I believe the activities could be better. The transportation has to be organized too far in advanced.

We chose this community because of the value for the money compared to others, the ratings, as well as they took her in the middle of COVID which a lot of facilities were not willing to do so. The studios here are nice size, like a large bedroom and they did have a deck off the back. The apartment she was in had a poor layout and not the best view. My mom said she did enjoy the food. My favorite part about the community was the friendliness of the staff members. The one negative point of this facility was the administration did not reach out after my mom after she had moved in, I wish there was a little more involvement. Overall, I would recommend Saucon Valley Manor.

Could use better system to reach departments. Always have to go through front desk. Sometimes long wait times till you get assistance in various depts. Eg Activity, Med Tech, health room.

Please keep communication open through email on issues that pertain to the entire home. I appreciate the personal phone calls when something is going on but would like to hear about the home through email especially since COVID shutdown March 2020. Thanks for all you have done in the past four months to keep everyone safe. Thanks

It seems like a good place, although with more of an institutional feel because it's in a renovated school building. It could be what I am looking for but I will continue my search.
