The first thing we notice about The Clare is how friendly and welcoming everyone is. We have visited a number of times to see our aunt and the experiences are consistently wonderful. Our aunt is living a stress free life and she takes advantage of all The Clare has to offer. She participates in the activities, loves the food, and says the staff are extended family. The staff have even taken the time to know us too! The Clare is safe and secure which is an important feature for us.

The Clare is an exceptional community in the heart of downtown Chicago. As my husband and I are starting our search for a continuing care retirement community for two of our family members, we were impressed with The Clare from the start. We found The Clare to exceed our expectations and needs. We value that The Clare takes pride in their culinary program, life enticement programming, and fitness options. Also, being located in downtown Chicago, security is extremely important to us, my husband and I felt extremely safe with the measures the building and front desk team have in place to ensure safety of all residents. I was also able to meet several members of the management team during my tour and was very impressed with them. I look forward to working with The Clare and ensuring our beloved family members have the best of the best (which is The Clare).

We have been very pleased with the care my mom has received. Their willingness to adjust things for her needs has been a blessing. We are thrilled with our decision for her to have this chapter be at Clarendale Six Corners.

My aunt recently completed her rehabilitation at The Clare after breaking her hip, and the experience exceeded every expectation. From our very first visit, the staff made our entire family feel welcome. Everyone was so friendly, and the food was exceptional. I even had the chance to meet the Executive Chef. My aunt kept saying she felt like she was staying at a resort rather than recovering from an injury. The staff went above and beyond by bringing her extra hair ties, a notebook, and even braided her hair. She also had her hair done in the salon and talked about it for days. These small, thoughtful touches meant so much to her. The therapy team was remarkable. When she arrived, she was in significant pain and barely able to move. With the nurses managing her medications and the therapists working with her each day, she slowly regained her strength. I don’t know what we would have done without The Clare. Now that she’s home, she tells me all the time how much she misses The Clare.

I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and helpfulness they offered. The meal I had was great also.

I was recently given a tour of the Maple Grove Havenwood facility. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The tour was very comprehensive and given by knowledgeable staff. The room we were shown was much larger than I anticipated and I thought well laid out. I also appreciated the common facilities and the activities that are available. After the tour, the lunch and service provided was outstanding. It gave us time to ask pertinent questions for which we received comprehensive answers. All the staff encountered were professional and the residents we encountered appeared to be happy and well cared for.

I am new to this community and I am very impressed with the staff and their amenities. The residents here are so inviting.

I came to live at Wyndemere 4 months ago because my partner died 18 months ago and I was living alone in a large home. I am living alone here as well. One of the important positive experiences of this residence is that when I go down to the dining room for dinner, alone, the hostess asks if I want to sit with other people. All but one or two times in 4 months, my answer has been,"Yes." She has found people, sitting at a table for at least four people with one or more empty seats. She asks them if they would like to have someone join them for dinner. When she gets an affirmative reply, she comes back and takes me to that seat. More recently, she has asked people who have reservations for themselves and who are awaiting a table. She asks them if they would like to have someone join them for dinner. When she gets an affirmative of reply from them, she comes back to me, to discreetly ask me if I would like to join, " So-and-so." It has been my opportunity to meet and learn about many people I might never meet otherwise. Occasionally, so far I have had some repeated times to eat with people I have eaten with previously. Next week I will be eating with a couple who recently moved in down the hall from me, who asked if I would like to have dinner with them next week. I said yes. Then last night I had dinner with them and a Gentleman who was also eating alone. At the end of last night's dinner, I asked the couple whether they still wanted to have dinner with me next week as scheduled. Their answer was yes.

We were really impressed with the facility. It looked more like a high end hotel than the stereotypical senior living community. There were plenty of amenities on-site and it’s not far from the West Chester borough. Every personal care room has a private bathroom though none have a kitchenette. The dining room had the look and feel of a restaurant and the set menu always had more than 2 options for dinner.

Hi! I am a CLARENDALE resident. I’ve been here 2 years. I am in Independent Living. I can honestly say that I love the residents and staff. Everyone is friendly and nice. Initially, I didn’t want to be here. I had a house to sell; my family was worried about me being alone during the day, and driving. I looked at several facilities. CLARENDALE was at the top of the list. So, I chose CLARENDALE, and never looked back. The adjustment was rather difficult for several months. But, the staff & residents made the transition as smooth as possible. Now I consider it my home. There is ALWAYS an activity going on. And clubs and committees to join. I consider CLARENDALE my home; and am very happy here. If you are considering a place for yourself, or a loved one; schedule a tour of CLARENDALE. It won’t disappoint. Karen C.

What I like the most about the community are the people, the staff members, the location and activities. I also like my apartment and would absolutely recommend Cypress Village to others

Pomperaug Woods was very involved in making sure that my mom's move was as painless as possible. Now, over a month after her move, they are still checking on her to make sure things are going smoothly.

Overall, I appreciate the friendly atmosphere. Ample apartment sizes and amenities offered.

We are very happy with The Delaney. The staff is exceptional. Although there are a lot of people there, everyone seems to know my brother's name, and they all know his likes and dislikes. He has been on several outings with them and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Staff is very friendly - everyone I have encountered. Daily activities and event occur. Food is very good. Only down side could be other residents behavior which is out of Avalon's control.

The minute we saw the sales center at Lake Port Square, we knew it was different than more institutional-looking facilities. The warmth of the buildings was matched by the hospitality offered by the sales representative. We were impressed by the spacious apartments and surprised that LPS is the only independent facility we know that has one-bedroom apartments with two bathrooms. With high ceilings and screened lanais, I did not feel closed in. The area around the lake invited walks and the Town Center with its indoor pool and restaurant added to the non-institutional ambience. It was a lovely afternoon and we were seriously impressed. Thank you to our kind representative and the staff and residents who made our visit a great experience.

We had a wonderful tour with [name removed], he was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions and spent a lot of time with us , he has since called to check on us multiple times,we are very impressed!

They were super easy to work with. [name removed] went over everything with my sister and I on a virtual tour, and then gave Mom, myself and my siblings a wonderful in person tour, including lunch where the chef came out to talk with all of us about his philosophy around meal prep and service. [name removed] made the entire move in process go very smoothly and was very patient with Mom and all of the questions we had. The community is amazing. Still very new and feels open and inviting. The 2 times we toured we saw residents out and about socializing, playing games and enjoying time together. And that was something Mom was looking for. The residents were also really friendly as she was walking around and all said she would love it there. The grounds are very nice. Mom has a small dog and was looking for a community that had some space and walking trails. They even have a small "dog park" area out back. She also found an apartment with quick and easy access to get outside to walk the door. And as a bonus it has a nice view of the woods. The Delaney recommended a wonderful moving service (A Simpler Life Now), who assists many of the residents of the Delaney and knows the floor plans very well. They were a huge help in determining what would fit (or not), setting up a floor plan, helping Mom sort through things in her home, packing, moving and unpacking. As I live in a different state, having a service there to help Mom prepare for the move was a life saver. And we wouldn't have known about them if [name removed] and [name removed] hadn't suggested them. The day after Mom moved in, she joined a group who was celebrating the Chinese New Year. So, she jumped right in and that's what we all wanted for her. So far, we are very pleased with everything.

It has been a very good choice. We are grateful. My father speaks highly of the food. I've eaten with him and the dining area is so elegantly set up with fancy menus and linen tablecloths and napkins. My father attends more activities than he ever did when he had his own home. He meets each morning with three of the other men for breakfast and coffee. He plays Wii bowling on the men's team. The transportation man gets him to his appointments and everyone knows him and speaks kindly of him. Even the front desk ladies treat you like a welcome friend.
