We were impressed. Have spoken to the director a couple times - very friendly & helpful.

The staff was all very nice, and treated my mother respectfully the majority of the time. And the memory care unit they were definitely understaffed at times, and my mother was also disabled by injury on top of her dementia. For her safety, since they could not guarantee being able to check on her as frequently as we thought was safe during the day hours, one of us had to quit their job to stay with my mother from 7:00 a.m. until about 5:00 p.m. at night and then another stepped in until 8:00 p.m.. the manager on the memory care unit was very responsive and very good about educating their staff about my mother's needs as some of her needs were not anything that they had to take care of prior. Especially when she was on hospice, it was a learning curve but they were at least willing to help. The bad side of things I believe I understood that they were short on janitors, and that did seem Apparent at times throughout the entire facility, but for sure on the memory care unit. The Experience wasn't bad though, the facility itself offered a lot of options, lovely gardens, areas to walk that were all wheelchair accessible.

The staff is very accommodating to Mom's needs. Nurses have been great and the Physician's assistant and doctor who come to the location have been wonderful to work with. Overall good communication from the nurses/medical staff. Annual cost increase was not unreasonable, actually less than I expected. We feel Mom is safe and well cared for. And the rooms and common areas are very nice.

The place is very clean but at times her bathroom not clean. They are understaffed at times. At times she has soiled herself and staff may not know. We know that's hard for them to "catch" when it has happened it it's hard for us to see that. It's also very expensive.

I wanted some place that was close to where I live. It's about 15 min away. Just about everything else was closed to 30 min from my house.

I toured this facility and was very impressed. We really liked it and would have possibly chosen it, but they only had one apartment available and we couldn't meet the deadline. I was very impressed with the assisted living director. It's a very nice facility, apartments are a little on the smaller side but nice.

We toured with Gable Pines and it was a beautiful facility. This was one of our top 2 choices and the decision was hard to make. We ultimately chose another facility just because they did not have any openings at the time here and the location was further away from me. The gal who showed us around was great, she kept in touch with me frequently and was really on top of things.

This facility is very good. Mom is ecstatic to be here and she loves it. The staff is super nice all the time. I love going to visit mom and eating with her. It's a beautiful setting. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for. Communication with the family is pretty good. They're busy, but do always get back to you. They offer transportation, which mom recently used and was happy with. Housekeeping is weekly and they do a great job. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Clarendale of Chandler is wonderful, for the most part. They're a little lacking in communication for family members who are long distance. Other than that, they are absolutely wonderful, they are an absolute God-send. They just need to work on their distant family communication skills.

On the positive note - the residents do not have to wear masks. They receive very friendly care from the staff and they seem to genuinely care. He has ben able to keep a lot of his independence. They also have a men's club as well which is nice and a lot of activities as well. They do have an app and they comminute to the families on all the activities your loved one will participate in. Sometimes they have photos as well. You can also send messages and cards through the app. They have a personal car service that he is able to pay to take him down and back to whenever he wants to go or they are able to order an Uber for him too. He is in a very big studio and it works out great for him. On the downside from what I understand the transition was a bit tough. They did not do his laundry for a couple of weeks when he first moved in because they did not know they were supposed to be doing it. There have been some communication issues, they do get resolved when brought up but they do have to be addressed. The employees are wonderful but I do think they are mad they have to wear masks every day and it slows them down. There was some inconsistencies on the mask policy as well but those seem to have been dropped. They staff really have been great and they bend over backwards. Overall it is a wonderful place, especially if you are independent. There are just some things they could improve on.

Had a very nice tour greeted warmly by staff and the director team. Overall great facility.

Our loved one is much happier here at Windsor Celebration than she was at a previous community

We've had a great experience so far at Avalon of Bloomfield. I would definitely recommend them. The transition for mom was very easy. It's a small facility as far as number of residents, which is a huge plus for us. The meals are great, mom hasn't complained which says a lot. She is a very picky eater and has been happy with the meals. They do offer a variety of activities and outings. Mom has enjoyed the outings, but doesn't participate in as many of the activities as it's just not her thing. The staff is extremely helpful. Facility is very clean. I would definitely recommend them!

We chose The Brielle because the location was very convenient for us, the value for the money (it was the best compared to the others we looked at) and we just really liked the facility itself. Overall it has been a really good experience and we would definitely recommend them to others looking on Staten Island.

I really liked Clarendale at Bellevue Place. I liked the fact that they had a mix between residents who were independent and then residents who needed some extra care. The sales guy that we worked with was great, he was super empathetic and we felt like he really cared.

The community is very clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Before covid we were able to eat with our loved ones in the dining room, but right now with some restrictions still in place are aren't able to and therefore the meals and services for the residents could be improved. They do have various activities, they can go out in group walks, play games, enjoy the nice exercise room and take advantage of the beauty shop that is there. Our loved one has a two bedroom, with two large walk-in closets, a lovely kitchen and two bathrooms. The money is definitely a good value.

I toured this community and they answered all our questions. The community is beautiful and I thought this would be a good place to live.

My loved one is in independent living, and she's very shy. I just wish they had somebody to kind of befriend the residents a little bit, especially at the beginning. They said they were going to do that, but they didn't. The food is okay, and she can get anything she wants. The cost is on par with everybody else. I had another loved one who was in memory care for a short time, and the memory care people were phenomenal. The people who do the repairs are phenomenal as well. The front desk has one person that's very nice, and another who fills in. I don't know if they're overwhelmed, but they could be a little nicer. They have a regular cleaning service that comes in once a week to clean the apartments, and I have not seen one speck of dirt or smelled anything bad in the months that my loved one has been there. I feel like they all do this, but I feel like you're promised the moon when you write the first big check, and then it doesn't quite live up to it once you move in.

We chose Clarendale because it just looked very clean and nice and we thought it would be a good fit. The staff members are friendly as well and take great care of their residents. The room sizes here are on the smaller side but they are private and she is on the bottom floor so she is able to look outside. I do think they could improve on their response time but overall I would recommend them.
