The rooms in memory care were large. The techs were great although there weren’t many. I only met one nurse and she was very good and worked with me to get Moms’s medication worked out. They were good about calling if Mom had a fall. The food was just ok.

There were not enough nursing staff. [name removed] the nurse was so helpful to my sister before she passed.

They are a lovely place. Very caring. As with all places, staffing limitations make answering call lights in a timely manner difficult at times. Overall, we would choose them again. They loved my dad very much.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Building is super clean. Activities are fun and engaging for residents and their family and friends.

The staff at the Kempton of Hermitage are exemplary. The room sizes and amenities are good. We chose The Kempton because its proximity.

Most of the staff cares deeply about the residents. I've been surprised by how much still have to follow up and advocate for my Dad. But I love seeing how they love my dad! The activities director and staff are wonderful. Love them. I think they are working with a minimal budget. I think activities could be first of all more of them and second better quality - walks outside, different exercise offerings, beefed up parties and more of them! For example, Ice cream socials are popular, A group read of the newspaper daily to discuss current events is a minimal cost.

The housekeeping is top notch. First: it always smells nice. That alone keeps attitudes positive. The staff are visible. If you need to talk to someone they are usually available in less than 5 minutes or will give you a specific time for a meeting. Communication with the family comes with a monthly newsletter and monthly activities outlined with their own monthly updates. I have also had several phone calls with any changes in her life or questions about how staff can help with a problem. I can only go by what my mother says about the food: she complains occasionally, but overall every resident has the opportunity to be well-nourished. I would recommend The Kempton to others. It's relatively small, which fosters a sense of community if the resident chooses to allow it. The staff tries with everyone.

We have overall been very satisfied with the care at Oakleaf. The issues we have had have been addressed and solved. The majority of the complaints from my mother in law have been about the food. The staff is very friendly and attentive and have been great about getting my mother in law involved with activities. I would, and have, recommend Oakleaf to friends.

My loved one currently resides at The Kempton of Hermitage and overall the experience has been good. We've had a couple of issues with care, but I think they were because of communication breakdowns. The list of activities that they offer seems good, my loved one just does not participate. Compared to other facilities that we toured, the value for cost at this facility seems great. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

When it comes to the care services - they went through a management change and there was some disorganization at the outset. The communication has been very very spotty. They seem to still be struggling to get organized under new management. Also though my mom's experience has been good, there are many residents who feel disenfranchised by the old management and have gotten in her ear -- so it has made her concerned.

The staff in Memory Care does a good job and [name removed] the director is totally awesome. Of course for me I feel housekeeping could definitely improve and I would think with the technology now days there could be something they could use to defuse the smell. I usually have to ask for clean sheets or they don't get changed and this can go for weeks.

Our experiences with the health care could not be better so far. The facility seems to be well staffed and clean. Can't speak specifics to food except that Mom often complains about how poor it is. Activities, my perspective. The event calendar seems full. Yet, seems Mom does not participate a lot. Wish they could enforce her to stay busier. I could be wrong, but unsure if she's yet been on a restaurant trip.

Our families experience

Our loved one has only been there for a few months now and its not top notch which is why we gave 4s across the board, but its pretty close to it. We do believe the staff members do a good job over there. Based on our experience so far we would recommend The Kempton of Hermitage to other families.

I toured this facility and it was a nice place. Everyone was very friendly and it was a nice tour. We did have an appointment, but waited for about 30 minutes after our appointment time for the tour to start.

The care team is very caring. However the administration is difficult to talk with. I've sent many emails that they've never responded to. So you do need to stay on top of everything and follow up. Medication administration is good. But things like cleaning and laundry that are promised need more of your attention. The food is excellent, and the dining process runs very well. The activities are somewhat lacking.

Overall I would say the whole experiences around 4 out of 5. I know he's safe and his basic needs are met. Some staff are better at addressing his personality and needs. Some staff allow residence to remain in their room in the evenings and on weekends. I talked to a lot of the residents and overall they seem happy. Dad would personally rather be with people and so when everyone else is in their rooms, he seems bored. Overall he seems happy. He is definitely happier there than he was with me running him everywhere and feeling like he was in the way at our house. Anytime I have concerns and say something, the concerns seem to be addressed. The staff are very responsive.

The staff are friendly and willing to help. They want to be helpful to your loved one and want it to be a good environment for them. Even so, make sure you're an advocate for your family member - which would be the case anywhere. Sometimes they might forget it's your mom and might not treat them like it's THEIR mom. But it's a good place, and I think they remember that more than other places. I think they're one of the better places in the area.

The Carlisle Palm Beach was probably our favorite out of all of the facilities that we visited. The facility was beautiful and very clean, but unfortunately it was extremely expensive which is the reason we did not choose them.

We were under the impression that they would provide more care than what is actually being given so it is not quite meeting the expectations.
