Excellent customer service. The facility is clean. My mother and I visited the facility several times before committing to a contract. The food is also very good. The presentation of the food is also good. We were encouraged to come to visit the facility anytime prior to the contract being signed. This gave me an opportunity to bring other family members to view the facility. At no time did I get any pressure from the staff via e-mails and phone calls to commit to signing a contract. We visited several facilities before making a decision to commit to a contract at this facility. I was turned off by the persistence of the staff at other facilities who constantly called to try to get a commitment. When you are a caregiver for a loved one, the last thing a person needs is to have more pressure.

We were well taken care of from the first visit. Shown model units, reviewed pricing and levels of support and assistance getting mom moved in. Mom, of course, is facing a new challenge-- making new friends, losing some of her previous freedom, a new place to live-- she is going through a major adjustment. But the staff seems to be familiar with what she is going through because they got her to laugh-- when we couldn't. They got her to the dining room when she told us she would never eat again! Her first new friends are the staff-- and we think that is a great start. And her initial doctor visit resulted in us being told they could resolve one of her lingering health issues. We couldn't be more please and think in short time so will be our mother.

Thanks to a place for Mom we found the perfect place .Sharon Rice was more than helpful and I would say she is a co-worker with God doing the lords work . God bless you all.

"Your wish is our command" seems to be the watchword of all the staff. That, plus a pleasant and relaxed environment commended this facility to us.

We couldn't ask for more! When we first arrived, the director, Laura, didn't have time to talk with us because she was busy attending to the residents, and I loved that. She cared more about her residents than impressing a new family, and that struck me as being wonderful. The building is very clean, very neat, and brand new with no smells. It's small, and we like that. They only house up to 40 residents at a time. We felt lucky to get in on the ground floor! We call on a regular basis and someone always talks to us and fills us in, and whenever there are health issues they call right away. The head nurse is fantastic. We feel very safe. They do so much for the residents, like when it was her birthday, we asked for a party, and they said that they always throw a party! My mother-in-law has been there for two months, and my husband was back there three weeks ago and things were going well. She is involved and engaged. She was having fun with the activities. The grounds are beautiful, it looks like a country club and cost is great.

I really like Washington Oakes. I like the people that work there, the management staff, the nursing people, and the medical technicians. The only down side that I can see is they don't have any specialized diets. Other than that it's a great place. I asked about a low fat diet for my father and they said they couldn't really do that but they would print out a list of stuff for him and I will work with my dad on how to eat better. They're very helpful. Everybody there smiles, the people that work there and live there.

It's closer to our house but there are a lot of wheelchairs there. We liked it because it seemed really first class to us, like a country club. My mother in law wanted something more homey and didn't like that this was more of a country club.

We find the Grand Villa of Pinellas Park outstanding in all areas. The care and food service is first class. The Staff is caring and always goes the extra mile .

I really liked the approach the staff takes towards care services and the reputation they have is really helpful. The location of this community was extremely convenient for me they are literally my neighbor and are located directly behind where I live. My mother says the food is very good and we are very pleased. The staff is just great, pleasant and always very helpful. They are very accommodating from the top to the bottom. We could not complain at all. Everything we have asked for has been granted. We are very pleased with Emeritus and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Good experience and still considering. Will keep posted on any change. Won't be doing much until after the 1ST of the year. Will be looking at Salterra in Largo in the near future.

For me, it has been a 4, I would say. The location is excellent for my transportation needs...no longer drive/have a car but the King County Metro bus service is superb...and I can get lots of reading and crosswords done on my visits to and from. Major pluses for Opal itself: I have found the staff to be unfailingly kind, both to me and to my husband. In some instances, they are spectacularly good at their jobs. In particular, [name removed], who is in charge of providing entertainment and joy in the residents' lives, also handles nuts-and-bolts administrative issues with equal skill and professionalism. Another great example is [name removed], who has repeatedly helped my husband and me with the television in his room. The television system is, to me, much less user-friendly than the old clunker we still have at home, and [name removed] has always been patient and helpful in getting things working. I also regularly attend the monthly family meetings with [name removed], the new head administrator. [Name removed] seems genuinely willing to listen to families' frustrations and concerns and is eager to address whatever can be addressed. When something cannot be changed because of laws or regulations, [name removed] takes the time to explain why. I haven't covered everything that might be helpful to you, and I have to admit that my own memory isn't as sharp these days. But I am truly grateful to have such a close-by place that is providing my husband with such thoughtful and appropriate care.

Overall, the community is clean, modern, and well maintained. The staff is friendly, caring, and management is generally responsive, even through some staff turnover. The dining experience has been good overall, although there have been occasional issues with special dietary requests. The food quality, portion sizes, and dining staff have been impressive. The community offers a variety of activities, though not every resident chooses to participate. Overall, it provides a safe, welcoming environment with caring staff and a strong sense of community.

Overall it's good. They are working great with me now, I fell behind and I couldn't pay due to my hardship and it's really helping me. I would recommend them to others who are searching for senior living for themselves or a loved one.

Staff was nice. The toilets were low with no accommodations like hand rails. The 1 bedroom had 2 baths which isn’t necessary. There was no kitchenette in the room. One bath had a tub - useless! They could put a microwave and some cabinets in that area.

The staff really tries to accommodate the various needs of the residents. The services provided are typically on par or better than stated by other local facilities. My wife does prefer her cooking, but is currently in a wheelchair so is unable to prepare much at this time.

Staff very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. No improvement ideas. I would recommend to others

It is very difficult to see the decline of my brother's mental state. But what I have seen here is that his Care has been great in that the caregivers really show compassion and caring for these residents. I know there is only so much that they can do when someone who has mental dementia goes through the stages of incontinence and cannot really care for themselves. But I know that he is in a safe place and that his physical health as well and we really appreciate everything that these caregivers do.

We like their assistant living arrangements as there are nurses there 24/7.

The facility is very clean and the staff stays very engaged. They do tons of activities and seem very relaxed and friendly. The food and snacks are very good and it's a fun atmosphere. The only con is when I go to visit there is hardly ever anyone there to let me in after pressing the buzzer. I sometimes wait 20-30 minutes. I also would like to see better programs on the tv. Comedies or lighthearted shows. (Not Jaws)! The room sizes are somewhat small, however, they are rarely in them.

The staff are wonderful, the cost is pretty expensive, but the tenants are super nice to each other. I think it will work for most people.
