2 year private pay req., share a 1 bedroom/1bath apt with other resident once medicate. $3880/mth, $3000 entry fee

I toured this community looked nice enough but the memory care was located in the basement and it felt like an institution to me had a bad vibe they had a tiny little garden that was surrounded by a fence where you couldn't enjoy it. The building was just a big square. I had to just go to another community.

I'm circling back on this one year after the list was originally provided. I liked the facility, but preferred the other Brookdale locations

It is still a work in progress for my mother with her move to this community. She is still adjusting, but she is doing okay. It has been an interesting process. They do a have a nice staff at this facility. They are kind when I come to visit her. This is a new facility so there still much to be desire ,as far as the appearance. However they do a good job with keeping her room, and the facility well maintained. They do provide nice meals, and have nice meals available for residents. I still need some more time before recommending this community, we are still in adjustment process.

When I toured Brookdale, it was not my first choice. It looked to me like it needed to be refurbished. The people there were friendly, but it was not what I was looking for.

All turned out well but there are a few flaw in their services. They can improve their nursing skills and communication skills. Also help with transitioning in new residents. The architecture of building is not fully set up for elders. The doors are not easy to open with a key for me and the elders. The pendent they wear does not detect a fall. They make the elderly people put their medication in a box that is a large tackle box with a combination. It has been difficult for me with good eyes, it is not elder friendly.

without an independent living option, this facility doesn't fit well with us

My Father move in recently and he has expressed how happy he is. The staff, residents welcomed him with open arms. I feel good knowing he is happy and safe.

This is a very nice community. It is a newer community and I am very impressed with it. The food is god and looks like a step up form the other communities. The person that gave us the tour was very good and helpful.

I got the opportunity to take a tour of this community and the staff was great. They helped me understand what they offer. I felt the amenities that they offer are not enough for the price they charge. The community looked clean and well kept though.

The Residence at South Windsor Farms did not have enough of what i was looking for. The activities didn't match the needs that my loved one needed, the layout didn't work for us. It was a neat place. The people were courteous and acknowledged me during my tour.

Too pricey, but great location, friendly, and nice views

There was no one at the desk when I went to visit this community and you need someone to let you into the memory care unit. The room we were shown was small and the community did not feel warm and inviting. The community seemed clean, however I think the floor seemed dull.

For the money, it's probably the best value. I'd say the food is adequate, and I don't really participate in the activities, but they have a variety available. I've had no issues so far!

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The Residence at South Windsor Farms was a very nice looking new community. The staff here seemed friendly enough, however I don't know that they were working well as a team yet. The facility seemed new enough that not all the kinks had been worked out yet. My loved one has some fairly exacting care needs, so I didn't think this would have been a good fit at the time I toured.

Very nice, clean ..new. Feels like a hotel. Sales person informative, but we ended up 'talking' too long .. we were on a time limit and tour itself felt rushed. We are early in our search, so minimal comparison.

There some wonderful people here but the culture needs work. Under the new ownership, staffing is not consistent and a resident can have 4 or 5 different caregivers on a single shift in any given week. Residents able to vocalize grievances or bear witness are not welcomed. Staff that "bark and argue" with residents are not considered abusive. There is a common practice of staff socializing in the office while the residents sundown unnoticed. There is little to no weekend cleaning but it is a generally clean and virus free environment. There are many dedicated caregivers. The movers, after finishing up at the new facility, said: "You can feel the difference in the attitude, this is the better choice."

I thought that they were pushy when they came unannounced. They said they had an appointment and visited my mother in the morning without us knowing that they were coming. Then they wanted to put her in a room with another woman and just one bathroom between the two of them. So they just didn't have the right space for her. They had other space but that was their plan, two women in a room with one bathroom.

Nice homey atmosphere. Looking for more active residents.

I thought they were maybe too confining. They don't take the residents out, ever, and I just though that my cousin was not quite to that level of lockdown memory care.
