The community is extremely friendly and welcoming. They have wonderful arts and crafts and activities that include everyone, there's something to do constantly. The facility is beautiful and kept very clean and the grounds are manicured. I have moms laundry done. They aren't careful with how they do her wash. Many things come back ruined or shrunk. Care services aren't up to par. I have requested call backs and asked questions with no reply for days. I usually have to ask front desk for help! Overall it's a decent facility.

My loved one was there a short period of time. They need to be a lot more clear upfront, on what they can and cannot do, as it relates to the level of care that is needed for your loved one. They need to do a better job of explaining things. Overall, it was not a great experience, until hospice stepped in to help my loved one. The staff was better after hospice arrived.

My loved one was not at this community for a long time. I would recommend, as long as it is for asstisted living only, opposed to long term care or a nursing home.

They offer acctivities, but I have not partcipated in any yet. The staff is very welcoming. If your loved one needs independent living, then this would not be a good match for them. It is moreso designed, for those who need assisted living.

We toured with Mercer Hill at Doylestown and it was too sanitary looking - we wanted some place that would feel cozy. They also just had too much going on and forced activities.

It's generally an okay place. But you're paying for services. Nothing is given to you for free, and it's expensive. There is also an increase in cost every year. The apartment is okay and certainly meets my needs. The staff have been pretty good in my interactions with them.

They overstate there capabilities. We had issues with oxygen services, so we moved both parents out. The staff was fine but they had a fair amount of turnovers with leadership. Overall, the size of the apartments/rooms were very nice.

They have had tremendous turnover this past year. Food quality is suspect. Never see any really fresh vegetables and fruits. No real effort at getting residents hydrated. Activities have picked up in last 3 months but still short staffed and some of the staff they have get paid under [price removed] per hour and not properly trained in dementia care. LCB is first a business with great expansion plans for the [name removed] family. Maybe concentrate on facilities you have already before expanding so rapidly just to take monetary advantage of demographic swing in America? Step up level of care in your memory units or get out of business and just put up apartments. Your margins will be less but at least you will not be responsible for increasing the likelihood of having elderly loved one not taken proper care of.

It's still not exactly what we had hoped for. Food isn’t great, hardly any activities.

The general areas are cleaner than my loved one's room, but it's not that clean overall. I'm not very happy with the care that she's getting. I don't know if it's the times due to Covid. Also, it has been an adjustment for my mother, and she complains a lot. She says she can't understand them. They all speak Haitian, and then she herself speaks broken English. She can't hear well, and she feels like they yell at her a lot. They've all been very nice to me. She loves the kitchen staff and says they're wonderful to her. The recreational staff is absolutely wonderful, [name removed] in particular. He has been exceptionally nice to her. Some of the aides she really loves. Some respect her wishes not to come in too early, and others just do as they please. I think the care staff are very overworked, and some try to accommodate her, while others try to accommodate themselves. Also, when we first interviewed Traditions, they told me that she was first on the in-house list for financial assistance. And now I feel like I was deceived. Since we've been there, they now say there are two people ahead of us, and I'm not sure why.

I was not super impressed by my tour. All the staff seemed rude. No one talked to me when they walked by, it was like I was not even there.

The administrative process has been very difficult. Invoices to be emailed to LTC insurance company have not been sent. In addition communication with the accounting person has been less than professional.

We chose The Lighthouse because it was covid free at the time and we needed placement quickly. She has not been out of the facility since she has been here, they do not have many activities for the residents. It is hard to rate these during covid because it may be completely different otherwise, but overall I would recommend.

Don't come here. It's too small. Breakfast is good, but dinner is terrible. There are almost zero activities going on right now, and I understand why due to Covid. It's a small population, and most people don't participate or interact. I think they're overpriced. As I understand they're at the top end of the market for the cost. Apart from that, everything is fine. It's a nice building, pleasant architecture, and the grounds are quite pleasant. The service is average, and I understand a lot of this is Covid driven. Not all of it, but some of it.

The community did not assess my loved one correctly. She should have had additional care but the community was prepared for it. The communication was good between the community and the family. They kept us updated.

Be cautious, they can supply the care you need but they do increase the price with more care needed. So make sure you know what care is needed. During the day the staff was great, but overnight the staff could often not be found.

My father at the time needed more redirection and reminders and they only had 2 levels of care here. It was assisted living and memory care and he was placed in memory care. The care was not what I considered appropriate for him. The residents were free to walk around the hallways and a lot of times there would be other people in his apartment. The staff was also not receptive to what his needs were. There were also some of his possessions that went missing and were then found. The assisted living part of the facility was great, but this review is about memory care.

They had bingo, outdoor activities, and exercise classes where they would hold on to metal benches and do exercises. My mother loved all the food, it is very good. This community is kept very clean, she is in a dementia ward and which is very nice and good looking. The rooms are beautiful, they are freshly painted, with a huge bathroom and a nice kitchen. They have a beautiful porch and the staff is helpful.

My mother was in the memory care area. They could have done a better job cleaning the common spaces, especially the kitchen area. The staff were mostly friendly. The staff lacked compassion and didn't show a lot of caring. They didn't have much in the way of activities for the memory care residents either. After she was here, she was moved to a hospital and then hospice and those teams showed much more compassion and caring after she passed away. I definitely think they need to improve on their people skills.

Lovely facility and kind, friendly people. [Name removed] could not have been more helpful! Cost is consistent with most similar facilities but the biggest problem is size of rooms. Too small.
