The environment was inviting as we arrived. Our guide was friendly and gave a great tour. The residents seemed happy and polite. Amenities were varied and plentiful. Thank you for making our tour pleasant.

The people there were very nice and informative. We appreciated their time as we think about a place for our mom. They are very organized and have the residents in mind for everything. We were very fortunate to have a tour. We just feel at this time we are not sure my mom is ready for a home like this yet.

The building is always clean, bright, and welcoming, but what truly sets it apart is the staff. Every person I’ve met from the front desk to the caregivers, nurses, activities team, and leadership, treats my mom with dignity, patience, and genuine kindness. They don’t just “care for residents”; they really know them. They call my mom by name, notice when she needs a little extra reassurance, and celebrate her good days.I love seeing her engaged in activities instead of just sitting in front of a TV. She participates in programs, enjoys the common areas, and seems more relaxed and content than she was at home. The communication with families has also been excellent. I’m updated on how she’s doing, and any concerns are addressed promptly and thoughtfully. I never feel like a burden when I call or stop by with questions. Placing a loved one in memory care comes with a lot of guilt and worry, but The Lighthouse has given our family real peace of mind. I leave my mom knowing she safe.

Even though my mom was only to experience a short stay, her and our experience was top notch. The room and size of it were excellent and very clean!! [names removed] handled all our questions with professionalism from our first tour to the final departure from the facility....Great job!!

The Lighthouse is a very welcoming community. The staff are very friendly and caring. Everyone who works there knows the residents and treats them like a family member. If my husband cannot live at home, this is the next best place.

It is clear from observing the environment and seeing the team in action that this facility operates with an exceptional level of dedication and professional warmth. What truly sets this facility apart is the quality and caliber of the team. They lead with unwavering compassion and respect, treating every resident with dignity. I've been especially impressed with their skill and training in dementia and memory care. The staff manages complex behaviors with remarkable patience and expertise, ensuring residents feel secure, valued, and consistently engaged, even on challenging days. This specialized skill is evident in the calm, supportive, and well-managed environment they maintain.

The overall experience has been a 5 at The Lodge. Staff members in all disciplines are kind, caring, respectful and trained to deal with Alzheimer's disease. My family member, age 71, was tremendously resistant to moving to the memory care; however, her adjustment over the last month has been nothing but positive as evidenced by her attendance at all activities and outings offered, saying that she wished that she had moved sooner and loving staff and her meals. I haven't seen her happier in a long time. Having her in a safe and loving environment is all that we could have asked for in the face of her disease progression.

The staff are nothing short of amazing—deeply compassionate, highly trained, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every resident. They go above and beyond not only in meeting physical care needs but also in creating meaningful, joyful interactions each and every day. You can feel the love and respect they have for the residents in everything they do. The programming is another standout feature. Every day is thoughtfully planned with activities tailored to engage residents at all levels of memory care. Whether it’s music therapy, arts and craft classes, gentle exercise, or simply enjoying time outdoors! I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memory care facility that truly feels like home.

Getting her transferred was a little rough and could've been smoother, but otherwise we are happy with the choice. Thank you for all the help. Have all medications and Dr change totally set up. And complete list of linen, towels and toiletries needed.

My mom as been at Traditions for a couple of years now. She has many friends there now and really enjoys the activities. She is very opinionated and tells us all the time how happy she is there even though she was skeptical at first. She enjoys sitting outside, the exercise classes, happy hour* and her private space where she can relax and be at home. She has slowed down a bit lately and Traditions is supporting her all the way. She gets health care as well on site, for the most part we don't have to take her to the doctor's office any more for most services, the NP visits her in her room if any health care is needed. So that's a big plus. *happy hour is is her favorite activity :)

My Mom has been living at The Residence for 18 months and she is thriving. Her quality of life has improved significantly after moving from an apartment where she lived alone. She engages in many activities and even hosts a painting class. The staff are caring and engaging and build relationships with the residence. I know my Mom is happy and safe! Great for her and great peace-of-mind for me and my brothers.

For the short time I have been living at The Residence at Shelburne Bay, I have had nice experiences. The staff and residents are all friendly and helpful. There are many things to do, both physically and culturally, and I have yet to be bored.

I first heard about The Lighthouse through a friend, and I’ve been attending their Lunch & Learn programs whenever I can. The education they provide is so valuable, and I always walk away having learned something new. The support from the team is wonderful, and the food is consistently great! I don’t currently have a loved one in need of care, but these sessions give me knowledge and resources that I know will be helpful when the time comes. Highly recommend attending if you get the chance!

The physical place is beautiful and the residents are friendly and happy. The staff is excellent and always trying to include the residents in activities. They treat the residents with dignity. It's not so big you feel like you are just a number and not too small that you are bored.
