Had to move mom into assisted living and found this gem. The staff is amazing. They are kind and sympathetic to your needs. We are treated like family. There is no lack of help or care . The dinning room is like going to a restaurant and the food is fantastic. They have activities schedule everyday. And family members are welcome at any time. We are very blessed to have found a place like the Residence at Valley Farm in Ashland.

Posting on behalf of my Mother-in-Law "I really enjoy Tai Chi. We have classes twice a week. We have so many fun programs. The food is good. Everyone who works here is terrific. My room is very clean. I brought my cat Patches here and everyone loves him. I have already made many friends. We like to sit and gab on the front porch."

The reason we gave the value for cost a 4 out of 5 is because cable is not provided, though I was able to put a TV & add it to my home account. I must supply paper products for the bathroom as well. Visitor parking is limited. Overall, love it!

Our mom has been at the assisted-living since July and we have had a great experience! The staff is wonderful and they are always trying to improve if there are ever any issues or concerns. We would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who wants great care for their loved one!

My father has been a resident of the Cedars for a year now. Last year my father had a very bad fall. The nursing home told us that he was not a viable candidate for assisted living. We contacted Eva Fey and she and her nursing director, Rebecca Owen for an  assessment. They felt confident that he would do well. He had a long road of recovery ahead of him, but with the help of the Cedars staff my Dad went from surviving to thriving. It's a relief knowing that he is in a safe environment, and is well cared for. Thank you to Cedars!

As a professional who works with elders and their families, many are interested in assisted livings in the area. I do not hesitate to refer them to the Cedars. They are so gracious, kind and helpful. Anytime I have called or popped in, management and staff have been warm and welcoming. From all the professional events that I have attended, I know the residents are happy and all their needs are being met. Each staff members know every resident by name and have genuine relationships with them. They plan so many activities for residents both in and out of the community. Because of my interactions with the Cedars, when it came time to find a safe and loving environment for my father-in-law, I did not hesitate to call the Eva Fey and her staff at the Cedars. They were an amazing Godsend during an emotional and difficult time. I HIGHLY encourage anyone reading this review to take a tour of this lovely community. The Cedars has become an extension of our family.

This was a very difficult transition for my mother and I and I have been more than pleased. Better than I imagined. The staff has been so very nice and patient and along the way, I’ve been able to reach out with any questions. They have been sympathetic to our situation and listen to concerns and made us feel comfortable. They offer many things to do and no pressure if you choose to do your own thing. They allow you to treat this like your home and it’s a warm environment. They treat everyone with respect and always greet you with a smile. I looked at several places and this was by far my favorite. I trust this was the best decision for us and when I visit, I am thrilled she is in their care.

The staff are always so kind and friendly. The community is very neat and clean and the housekeepers work hard. I love my apartment and have a great view of the courtyard. It's a good place to make friends and activities are plentiful. What more could you ask for.

The residence at South Windsor Farms was a wonderful and family like atmosphere. The staff was very engaging. The food selection was impressive. The menu had more items than some restaurants the Director of marketing [name removed]was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. I enjoyed my visit.

We were looking for an assisted living place for my friend as well as her dog! No small task. From the beginning of the interview process to the present moment the Residence at Orchard Grove exceeded our expectations! The facility is so beautiful and has so many areas to enjoy. The entire staff and the residents as well, are so friendly. The staff continually bend over backwards to address any needs as they arise. The numerous activities keep my friend entertained and social. Did I mention they have 4 star chefs? They have a memory unit as well -so when the time comes, the transfer process will not upset her. We made a perfect decision when choosing her new home!

The staff at The Residence of Freeman Lack has been professional, empathic, attentive, and overall great! [name removed] is by far the glue that holds the Reflections section together. Family orientated and very personal and so helpful to our family.

The staff at The Residence at South Windsor Farms was incedibly helpful when I was in need of locating a place for my mom after Rehab. Mom could not go back home alone and I had 48 hours to move her from the Rehab facility. The Social Director at Rehab suggested to look into The Residence at South Windsor Farms. We were elated with the tour of the facility. They had everything in one location and the apartments were beautiful! Everyone there is so helpful and a pleasure to work with! We are so glad to have found this fantastic facility.

We took a tour of The Residence at Great Woods during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was great! The cleanliness and friendliness was great. Definitely one of our top choices.

We have nothing but good things to say concerning suffield..my dad loves it there. My dad says makes him feel like home. The employees there like what they are doing from the marketing director down to the activities person...they enjoy being there...everyone's everyone...good sense of community .

My wife has been living at Suffield by the river memory care for approximately 6 months. It took a little adjusting to be away from home for her first time. The staff helped her and comforted along the way.. I could see this when I visited her. It also gave me piece of mind. It well run with a caring staff. My family and I are very happy with Suffield by the river

My loved one is currently a resident at The Residence at Paine Estate. I would highly recommend this place. From the information we received when touring the facility with us not being rushed and having all of our questions answered in a friendly, patient, and professional way to the onboarding process when we chose to move there. The food and choices given to the residents is varied and delicious. Communication with the family is very open. They try to keep the residents actively engaged in all of the offered activities as well. All of the staff are friendly and very kind to the residents. Everyone seems to be very happy there.

This place is very nice, everyone is so friendly. It was very easy to move my love one into this place. My husband has settling in well. The staff are kind and supported and go out of their way to be helpful. Their menu is like a restaurant and is very good.

It is lovely. If you can afford it, it is a great place to live and create community. We picked this community because of the availability of memory care space and proximity to my home.

I have the pleasure of going to the Lighthouse several times a week as a Physical Therapist. I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of the staff and can attest to their caring nature. The entire staff makes sure to get to know the residents and make them feel at home. As a physical therapist I am happy to see the activity staff engage the residents in a variety of different exercises, including chair yoga and barre and balance class. These activities help to keep the residents active and engaged, which is wonderful to witness firsthand.
