Serenity House Assisted Living did a good job. They did pull a fast one at the end of my father-in-laws life. They wanted hospice to assess him. When I talked to that hospice he didn't qualify and that was on a Wednesday. On Thursday they brought in a different hospice and said he did quality. I just think they were a little sneaky. He went downhill fast. [removed] We knew he didn't have a lot of time left because of his dementia but he went downhill faster than expected. Up until that time we were were very pleased with the facility. My father-in-law enjoyed it there.

We are happy with them. Everyone over there seems happy whenever we call. I don't have any concerns over how clean it's kept, complaints about food, or anything like that. Things are working out well so far.

I toured the facility and found it to be very well kept and clean, staff friendly a very nice place.

We looked for several months till we found Serenity House for my father-in-law, who had dementia. I had never heard of a "group home" for dementia patients. They were less expensive than your bigger assisted living homes, and much more personalized. This location was good for our family, because our loved one was close to our home. We were able to be as active as we could in his care. They are very welcoming, and truly care about the services provided. They offer transportation to and from doctor visits, and they have outings twice a month, mostly to a local restaurant. They also have people come in to give haircuts and manicures and pedicures for a very reasonable price. The caregivers make homemade meals three times a day, do laundry daily, help with personal care. After looking a several places and what they had to offer, Serenity House was definitely the right place at the right time.

They have caring staff that do a good job of caring for multiple patients at a time. This facility has a small-group (women-only) structure with a limited number of residents at any given time. Our family member can be a handful, but their staff and management have been great in working with them.

Overall we are pleased with Serenity House VIII, and based on the experience we have had so far we would definitely recommend this community to other families.

Overall, a good facility for the price. A bit understaffed in my opinion, with only 1 caretaker per 8 residents most of the time. Really disappointed that they don't have cable in each resident room. This would provide more mental stimulation, particularly for people who can't leave the facility and/or don't want to participate in the group activities. We had one incident with a mouse in my stepmom's room (she was partly to blame due to keeping candy outside of a closed container). The food is generally cooked fresh for each meal, but may tend toward processed/pre-made foods a bit more than average. Also, one of the issues is that this facility just transferred ownership a few months back. As a result, they no longer have an off-site shuttle bus service for residents to go the store, errands, etc

Serenity House feels like family. The staff are very receptive and amicable to work with. I believe the staff to resident ratio is 2 staff to 8 residents,. The community is able to assist with bathing and medication management. They are keeping my loved one busy and it is a good thing. The food is okay, it could be a little healthier though. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

This is a good, safe environment for your loved one. The staff are very positive to work with. The food looks good, and my loved one doesn't complain about the home cooked meals. There are activities on occasion, they use the TV more for entertainment. There are 10 residents in the community.

Serenity House is giving us the services we need for our loved one. The house is too small for the number of residents they have. I don't see a lot of activities being offered to the residents, it seems the residents are watching tv more than anything.

Our tour was via Zoom call online. They answered all of our questions and gave us a great tour under the circumstances. They were our runner up choice. We liked that they have more Medicaid options. It was a great location for our family. The owner here was great, very personable. we just ended up connecting more at a different place.

Pleasantly surprised by this facility, the staff, the size, the family-like atmosphere. For the right individual who does well in a smaller setting, this could be a perfect fit. The cost is lower than the larger facilities, the care likely more direct and probably a better setting for those with dementia, who would see the same faces every day.

12 residents in converted home. Residents were active and seemed happy. My only concern was only 2 staff on duty. Wondering how you feed and get 12 folks out of bed or to bed with only 2 folks.

Wonderful concept with group home assisted living. And works especially well with Alzheimer’s patients. My husband got lucky and had the BEST roommate. The staff was caring and always willing to make changes, kept me informed and it was like a family. They have home cooked meals, snacks and lots of occasions to celebrate holidays and birthdays. Large back patios and yards.

The food at this care home is homemade and ok. They do keep the home clean and they offer some activities. My loved one is still trying to adjust to living here and the caregivers are trying to help them with this. I would recommend this care home.

We had never thought of residential care prior to touring Serenity House Touring was a good experience, the home was clean and maintained well, and the people were all ver friendly. I just don't think my father would have been comfortable.

My mother moved here recently and things are going well. We chose this community because of recommendations from friends and loved ones. I would recommend them.

Me and my husband took the tour and it was a lot like the other Serenity that we went to. We liked the staff and the community. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The place was just to far for us.

This community has a few areas that could use a little improvement. There are activities that are available for her . The value is good for the amount paid. The community is clean and well taken care of, but could use some small improvements. The staff is friendly and helpful. Also accomidating for too her and her needs. Overall a nice experience for my mom.
