I would tell others that it is clean. I'm pleased with the medical attention they have. This is one of the most important thing about the community to me. The staff could be more willing to assist with the residents to assist with eating with those that have trouble setting the food up. I think they may be short staffed due to COVID.

[name removed] (sales) was a pleasure, however I had to request the contract multiple times, the few days before move-in. Once I received it, there were three discrepancies, according to what we were told. [name removed] told us the doorbell on the west door would be repaired ASAP. It never was. I had to ask for Mom's laundry to be washed 3 times, before it finally was for the first time, on day 15 of her stay. It was very difficult to get through to AL on the phone, during weekday/office hours. Mom's TV somehow got disconnected from service, & 3 work orders were put in, before it was fixed after 5 days. Things didn't seem to function in the manner that the Resident's Handbook presented. I don't know whether Assisted Living is just not a focus (since they have a lot of other levels of residents...or communication breakdown. I felt that once we moved Mom in, aside from [name removed]checking in a couple times, we were on our own to figure things out. There were a few outstanding, very caring staff members--[name removed] and [name removed] Mom had to relocated, due to her becoming an elopement risk AFTER she moved in at HL. So, it was a short stay.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Also very responsive. I would recommend

For the most part my experience with Oak Manor was very positive. I was in a Villa that was comfortable and most of the staff was caring and helpful. I don't know much about their larger group building facilities. Their food on whole was good with choices in the main dining room. As with most places today they seem to struggle hiring good staff. It's a homey atmosphere as opposed to an institution which worked for me.

There are not enough staff members working and when it comes to the meals and dining service they are not consistently good, but nutritious. There are not enough activities for the residents to do. It is expensive for not enough staff for higher level care and meals are only fair... it's run down and needs upgrades. Not enough activities for active people. Someone should be in dining area to help serve, etc. it's difficult with washers and wheelchairs to try to find what is needed. Overall, we would NOT recommend. They are very kind my mom, however, she has witnessed them being not so kind to other residents.

They went through a lot of personnel changes in the time since Sept. 2022. The CNAs who work with the residents, were largely not good. They were without nurses for 2 months. And importantly they got a new executive director. The Activities Director was a behind the scenes person, but not imaginative or enthusiastic.

Our family had an in person tour and our tour guide did not seem prepared at all, we only got to see a studio room and not other apartment sizes.

I toured this community and everything was great, except for the food. I noticed that they have a very large group who participate in Mahjong, so that's a good thing to know for some people. The rooms are a very good size. As far as the food, we had a meal during our tour. It was terrible. The shrimp and all of the sides were cold and didn't taste good. A longtime resident here told me that the meals are pretty consistently not great. Other than the food, everything else seemed really good.

Very nice people on site. Rooms were quite expensive for the condition of the housing and the individual rooms were somewhat small. Mother in law was not interested in residing at this facility.

Observe caregiver staff working and interacting with residents. Participate in a meal in the dining room, and observe interaction of residents with one-another and with caregivers

The Oak Manor SNF failed our mother who was hospice patient but placed on rehab side. The first week, mom was unable to do the 3-point to get in a wheelchair & she fell twice. We had a Care Plan meeting and stopped rehab & requested soft foods. In the midst of dealing with a dying family member, we were forced to turn away rehab daily and send her food tray back each meal to get the soft foods promised. The Suncoast Hospice nurse was as baffled as we were at the repeated disregard for what had been decided in the that meeting vs what was actually being done. Mom was in a lot pain that was not being controlled with the prescribed medicine intervals. She was unable to ask for addtl meds. We stayed with her feeding her, dismissing rehab and getting solid foods, & requesting more pain meds. We moved mom to a Suncoast Hospice Care Center. The lack of communication and training gaps at Oak Manor, left us with a heavy heart that we chose that institution in our mom’s darkest hours.

Everyone is cordial and pleasant at Hidden Lakes... With that said , due to the long distance costly move site unseen and not being better informed of the facility, ( no one to blame but myself, ) leaving me with no realistic options of relocating once again... The constant, relentless noise of the small planes overhead and trains running through the night , does not allow a moment of peace... A business is a business, but a senior living community, you would think , would warrant a somewhat more peaceful ambiance...

Would strongly discourage everyone to stay out of oak manor for poor attention to residents, terrible medical staff, and subpar food and services

I have few things in mind, since I’ve been surprised for many things.Also,we are tired to have a conversation with [name removed] the E.D,because she never takes care of the situation,things still happening and that’s not fear for my family members,friends and neither for us who are paying a lot of money for being and feeling mocked and deceived by her;including employees of all departments. The rooms are nasty!Full of old trash,the bad smell is unacceptable.The food is not the appropriate,poor, and the trays food for rooms are always late and cold; the service in general has been the worst. The caregivers have no idea how to treat, transfer, and even less,have no patience and empathy with our loved ones.We all believe and are sure that more than one caregiver has not passed for any nursing school before in their life’s.Also, the facility is always short of staff and the small group of the ones who really work are not able to take care of all residents.

Took a tour, found a studio that I liked but the contact person never returned my call or followed up on the additional items that I asked for clarification on. In addition, she had me hold her hot tea while she drove the golf cart - VERY unprofessional. When I asked why I should choose that facility over others, she said it was because management pay close attention to who they ALLOW to live at the property so that they "fit in". Makes me wonder if we were not "chosen" for some unknown reason. Wouldn't recommend - simply - If the front staff is this unprofessional, how does this reflect on the care staff??

Funny don't take your loves ones here they will lie and cheat there mds nurse is a crooks and lies to your face she in charge if making the care plans for your loved ones my mom didn't get them services as promised she had bed soars they wear stage 3 and not addressed the administrator Gretchen lied to me said she would take care of the issues I was having and lies didn't take care of them basically lied t my face to get the money ask I there don Janet is a lier and didn't take care or gold the promises that what was supposed to help my mother also they have no air in the rooms the 3 to 11 nurse wich is some Indian lady was a incompetent and didn't help us either they have German roach crawling all over the place and have seen in the food the management here is a joke and they use the Christian name as a way to cheat good hard working people out there and comitt Medicare fraud do yourself a favor and run from this place is a hell hole you will regret it I promise you that they are the worst place in town .
