Before the pandemic, this facility cared for and provided great services for my mom. Since the pandemic, they have shown how much they truly care about the residents. They take extra special care. They communicate very well and often so we know what is going on.

My mother has lived at Desoto Palms for 3 years. She has received awesome care. Te staff truly cares for the residents like their own family. Even during the current Covid pandemic, they are constantly updating us on any issues, concerns and updates about testing. They have made sure my mother remains safe and even when isolating they bring her food, puzzles, snacks and making sure she is happy and healthy! I am so happy that my mother is at Desoto Palms both before and during this health crisis.

We chose this facility because my mother needed more care. The room sizes at this facility are very big, she has a one separate bedroom with a bathroom, living room, kitchen. It is very nice. My mom loves it here. It is a smaller dining facility and she has made a lot of friends. All the residents are very friendly and she always has a place to sit in the dining room. The best part about the community so far has been the friendliness of the residents and staff.

We loved it here! Exactly what we are looking for, and conveniently close to us. A little high priced, but you see where the money goes back into the community.

Everything is working out very well since my mother's move to this community. She made the choice, and she is very happy. I know she is safe, and in a good place. It is a lively community, with plenty of activities. She is very pleased with the meals. It isn't a cheap community, but if you have the assets, I would recommend this community.

Florida Baptist has a welcoming and safe environment for their residents. Many activities are offered as well as outings to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, and doctor^s appointments. We feel good about choosing Florida Baptist for our loved one.

Our family had an in person tour and based on everything we saw on the tour it seemed like a nice good community

The Buffalo Crossings was beautiful. The reason why we did not choose it was because it can get extremely expensive extremely fast. For a one bedroom with all of the care that they offer it can go up to $12,000 a month. It was out of our budget.

Warm and cozy environment with large apartments. Lots of trips to nearby shopping. Three dining rooms with good food. Pets welcome. Friendly employees.

My Mom moved in 3 weeks ago and loves it. She said everyone is so sweet and caring and the food is delicious. She goes to the beauty parlor every week which she never did before and loves her large studio. Coming from Long Island, New York she is loving sitting on the screen porch in her rocking chair. She is 95 but in pretty good health and is adjusting to new place really well. Can't thank "A Place For Mom" enough for the info.

Gorgeous facility. The follow up by some of the staff, was very impressive. They were very, very nice and very welcoming. After my visit, they checked in with phone calls and everything. I thought that was very good. The woman there also gave me suggestions for the possibility for a VA benefits. My father makes too much money, but she was very helpful, giving me contact people. One of the things I liked about them was that even if they knew that you weren't going to move into their community, they were still willing to help you out as much as they could.

I haven't been there, but I have spoken with the people on the phone. They are really helpful and friendly. It's a terrific value! There are plenty of great activities, but my mom doesn't participate in them. I really like that the setting is a more natural setting than the strip mall feeling. There is really nothing that I can think of that needs to improve!

I was referred by [name removed] and [name removed] at A Place for Mom and I met with [name removed]. She is an absolute gem for your community. She took me on a tour for Assisted Living which we thought would meet my brother's needs. She new all the residents names that we came into contact with and was very empathetic to my brother's situation. He is going to be at the skilled nursing facility first and then hopefully the AFL.

The staff was exceptional. Caring , attentive & respectful. They did everything to accommodate [name removed] & me. They were great with[name removed] .The food was great , she loved it. Her apartment was good , size was great for her. They were always willing to answer any questions and helpful. I did have to move her as her dementia was more advanced than originally thought and they were not equipped to handle it. Also , the cost was very reasonable, lower than most.

The staff is very helpful and understanding. I love my studio and the grounds are spacious and well-kept. They have a very nice dinner party once a month and many activities. Food is adequate with different choices.

It has been hard for my friendly mother to make friends - most people have been there awhile and are in their own groups. I wish the staff would notice that new residents need to be included in activities and encourage current residents to notice new residents.

The staff continues to keep the resident engaged. They have resident groups that provide feedback regarding the day to day activities and meals. Their input is heard and their suggestions are adopted. My mother has never been more connected to other people her age as she is now! Thank YOU for the referral!

My parents moved out because they keep raising the rent. We don't remember being informed of that and my parents were priced out. The residents complained about the food and the staffs revolving door. They can't get any good help and all the activities promised with family were eliminated or stopped and no one knew why. They did still have happy hour tho. The unit my parents lived in, had a very big tree in front of it. The community did not trim any of the trees prior to the hurricanes and some of the trees came down. I think one of them did hit a unit.

The facility is lovely and the staff super friendly and helpful. I rest well knowing my parents are safe and well cared for. My parents, however, are actively seeking another facility mostly due to the quality of the food and lack of a pool. We knew there was no pool but were told they would have access to any of the pools in The Villages. This turned out to be false. There are a limited number of pool passes available. Had we been aware of how that worked, they would have chosen another facility.
