(The term 'Light Housekeeping' means something different to everyone. It's okay here but it isn't thorough enough to assure us that something is actually getting done. I'm going to hire a twice-monthly service instead.)

Seems that the dining experience is not what I have previously experienced: Eggs were definitely powdered, other cold offerings ok, but sparse. Did like the coffee machine. Common spaces were clean and well looked after.

It was a lovely facility with the nicest staff. We were happy that my mother lived in such a nice place at the end of her life. Even the visiting hospice workers commented on how nice it was and the kindness of the staff. We were with my mom 24/7 for the last few weeks of her life and saw the care and love firsthand. It was not a show they put on for visitors; it was continuous and always visible. We had some issues with the management after she passed away, with some unexpected fees and incorrect billing. That was the only problem. The people who are with the residents every day are absolutely wonderful and attentive; from the front desk to the maintenance staff to the food service workers to the night team and the day team... we loved them all.

food was great. staff were very good- natured and helpful. accommodations were spacious and clean. activities seemed sparse to me, but I was there for only a week, so I didn't have time to join any interest groups. maybe you could foster a walking group?

We are happy with Seneca for our loved one considering her needs at this time. She is not as mobile as we like so the PT, OT, and speech therapy she receives has helped to improve her daily life in the community. The workout room is nice. The staff is very warm and friendly. However, we find the leadership isn't as available and not easily reachable. I find activities are slightly more geared for the woman than men; I get it, more women live longer. Seneca is a diverse community, the residents are wonderful to talk to. This is a smaller size place which is why we choose it. The price is ok; they charge a base rent plus levels of care pricing. The level of care descriptions are vague so it's hard to judge if they are charging appropriately. Our loved one is very happy here. I would recommend Seneca Rockville.

For what we paid, $[removed], we expected much more. The facility and my mother's room was not always very clean, she had to share a room (we expected she would have a room to herself), there were no readily available trained nursing staff or doctors (we were expecting that). There were very few staff at night and other patients would wander into my mother's room; if my mother had fallen I don't know how she could have readily gotten help. Having said all of that, in the three months my mother was there her health actually improved. Having a nurse at least once a week monitoring her meds and adjusting them was a great benefit, and treating her UTI and the physical therapy helped her stability and stamina. We were hoping though for more medical TREATMENT for her dementia, insomnia, and anxiety. There was none of that.

They walked us through the entire experience , answered all our questions. We got to experience their cafe for lunch and the food was very good. Met some residents during our tour and they all spoke highly of the community. The move in process went well and my parents seem to be happy living there I feel we found a good place for out parents.

The staff was awesome! My mom was in the hospital a couple times, and it would have been nice if somebody had called me to ask me how she was doing. Maybe they don't do that? She had to go to rehab 3 weeks before she passed away and unfortunately no one called me then either to see how she was doing.

From the resident’s perspective [name removed], he still enjoys the food most. The family likes Balfour’s upscale, resort-like ambiance and the skillful patience of staff attending to an, at times, difficult resident.

Overall we are pleased with Balfour Central Park for Dad.

Establish a good relationship with you parent's caregiver as that makes all the difference.

We picked this community because of the location, offerings, and reasonable cost.

No facility is perfect, but they take great care of my brother. Staff is very friendly, protective and kind to my brother. They bring up medical concerns if needed and communicate with the family. They seem to really care. Facility seems very clean and food/snacks are plentiful. My brother can't keep weight on but he seems to always be eating. He walks a lot and the staff seem to converse with him and listen to his stories.

We like the concept of memory care cottages with common garden area. Residents have their apartment and can freely walk outside cottage around the grounds without feeling locked in

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice grounds and atmosphere. Too much emphasis on happy hours and parties. Restaurant staffing is a problem and dinner service is very slow.

The food could be better. One of the reasons we chose this community over others is the entry fee was reasonable versus [community removed]

As for comments about the facility/staff... The front desk is great, the people are friendly and helpful, and the Maintenance crew seems top-notch. I don't live there, so I can't speak too much from personal experience. I would recommend Bridgepoint to others.

We liked the community but I wished they were a little more persistent on getting my mom to do activities. My mom was a bit shy and would always say no and they would just let her stay in her room. We lived the location and everyone was so nice

The staff is amazing, it is beautiful and my mom loves the food. It is perfect actually. I looked everywhere.

Definitely a good place depending on what you're looking for. Bridgepoint is pretty low-key and feels like a family oriented place. Staff is very friendly. It may be a little short on services depending on what you're looking for. My father was pretty independent so that was not an issue, he had no complaints about the meals. Worth checking out!
