The food they serve is often too spicy, cold or hard to eat, like tacos or bone in chicken. My aunt says portions are small and never any corn, carrots, or peas. Only broccoli and brussel sprouts. Rarely any fruit is served. How can they charge so much to stay there and give out so little and unnutritious food? Would not recommend this place. People who have trouble eating don't even get assistance. They must be going hungry. Sad.

What stood out most was their inability to keep a director. They lacked leadership which hurt our experience.

This facility has been taken over 3x since I had my mom here Activities are non existent - they sit them in front of you tube. Food is improving slightly but awful when it was Chapters They can’t seem to keep a director of nursing Caregivers are overworked. A few are awesome and have the heart for caring for these residents (. Namely [name removed] and [name removed]) I need to keep on them to do laundry and keep her Room clean. The facility is lovely but it’s all for show.

I have not so much to compare this experience with. Dad eventually has become comfortable. The entire staff and management was removed over the course of ~ 2 months. There was no explanation to the families. I have faith that now that the interim Management team has left, and the new director is in place, that basic procedures and trust will be improved or developed between staff and management and residents. We have watched many residents and staff leave in the last year. If it weren't for the fact that I live in the same town as Milestone and that Dad is receiving hospice care, we would have left as well. I hope things are turning around. Appreciate that there is a substantial effort to manage to a new , higher level, increase training, modernize technology, and staff residence ratio.

Honestly, they were so unorganized for the move in process. We had to have someone stay the first night because they were not ready for our loved one. The food has been fine. We moved our loved one in at the end of December and she has had two major life changes happen during that short time. Things have been pretty hard. Last week, she got out and was found in the parking lot. What we do like is that the staff is very friendly. The rooms are like little apartments and there are only 7 memory care rooms.

It's a nice community. I would recommend to others. My mom liked the size of the apartment and it was close to me.

We moved Mom to a skilled nursing facility in Spring Green. Milestone lacked the staff to provide for the care plan they developed when Mom first arrived in March. Delayed response time resulted in Mom trying to do more than she was supposed to and falling several times. Their unwillingness to provide assistance unless asked and Mom's attitude that she can do it on her own resulted in a decline in her health from the falls and growing inability to care for herself.

Was good to start with, cleanliness was good, staff and residents were friendly. Not so impressed with care services as I wasn't told they were ordering two weeks of meds and wasn't given meds when I picked my mother up after her 4 day stay. I ran out of one med the pharmacy couldn't fill cuz they just had. That was how I found out they had pills left at the home. Staff was good at first but when trying to contact them to find out what we need to do for my mom to become a permanent resident no one has gotten back to me and I have called several times since June, looking for other options now if that is how good they are at communication.

Many issues at this facility and administration from community director up to the chairman of the board want to do little if anything about them. While there are some really great staff members, especially on the assisted living side, there are definitely rotten applies in the bunch. Night staff have been caught sleeping by residents and are leaving memory care residents unattended. Call buttons are not responded to in a timely fashion, some are just ignored. The food is atrocious, is mostly warmed up frozen food with very little fresh fruit or vegetables and is frequently inedible. There are times where there are sparse helpings of food with no seconds and the residents leave the dining area hungry. Frequent medication mistakes are made. There are not a lot of activities that are available to all residents and/or are relevant to all residents. I would talk to several current residents before deciding to reside here.

We initially really liked Courtyard Estates but after awhile our loved one was not getting the care and attention so we ended up moving our loved one out.

Some of the staff were fine. But when you talked to the management about issues, they said all of the right things yet nothing ever changed. The nurse would call me after my loved one's monthly health assessments, and during my last phone conversation with the nurse, she didn't give any indication that anything was wrong. But then mid-month, my loved one had an issue serious enough that she ended up in the hospital. No one ever called her or our family to check on her once she was admitted to the hospital. So we moved her directly from the hospital to a different community.

I was very disappointed with the care that my family member received. They promised a lot but definitely did not deliver. Staff were pleasant and respectful and the place was clean. But communication was extremely poor. It wasn't until I received a call from the hospital that I even found out that they had sent my family member to the hospital. When I called the next day, the nurse at Parker Place was not even aware of it. There is not enough supervision and staff are overwhelmed trying to care for everyone. My family member was in memory care but the personal care she was expected to receive was not consistent. I watched my loved one decline very quickly and yet the nurse would tell me she was doing wonderfully. Since transferring her to another facility, she has improved more than i thought was possible. I had high hopes when we first brought her to Parker Place but in the end, we left feeling like all they were really concerned about was making sure their rooms were full.

Very nice property - does not contract with state according to adrc - has too many extra charges - would not give a list of point system. Not sure how much it would actually cost. Nice if money doesnt matter. Rating 2 stars because of lack of transparency.

My Mom went there a year ago and it was great then. Now, not so much. Rooms are not clean and reeked of urine - housekeeping says they will take care of but not done. Front desk - [name removed] is great, but half the time no one picks up phone so you can't talk to your Mom. [name removed] is useless, he is never there, staff even jokes about it. Overall - My family loved they place a year ago, but they have gone downhill. No one looks after the pts. they are on there own and you have to remind staff all the tine to check on Mom's. We pay a fortune and not what it was year ago.

We feel the staff at Milestone are under qualified.

My mother lived at Delnor Glen for about a year and a half. The facility is lovely; the food is good. Most of the staff is kind, friendly and helpful. The one problem we had was with the "caregivers", who could have been much better. In one instance my mother was prescribed a new medication. I asked the nurse more than once how Mom was handling it and was always told things were good. When I got the pharmacy bill a month later I discovered the prescription had never been ordered. (If the nurse had actually considered my question she probably would have realized this.) On another occasion my mother was supposed to medicated before a procedure. She left for the hospital before the drug was administered. (Her memory is failing which is why we pay to have someone else handle her meds.) Delnor Glen staff did not call the hospital to let them know that she'd missed getting her medication, nor did they inform the family. It was only after we learned of problems with the procedure that we asked if she'd had the meds and found out she'd not received them. Another time when she was taken to the hospital by ambulance her paperwork (DNR, etc) could not be located and we did not know she had been admitted to ICU until she was able to speak with a nurse the following day and have us called. These are just a few problems that come quickly to mind. I also didn't appreciate the condescending tone the nurse and aids used with my college-educated mother. I doubt she did, either. All-in-all, if one is independent and in good health Delnor Glen would be a lovely place to live. If one needs assistance, I recommend looking elsewhere. We moved my mother to a community that offered better care.

When you first visit Glenwood Place you will be impressed. But after you commit and hurriedly sign all the paper work, it goes down hill. The nursing staff is under staffed, with the only RN on site, abrupt and not very forth coming with information. Medication is dispensed early in the am and too early in the pm. Meals are OK, except on Sunday, there is a skeleton crew, and sometimes they are not friendly. Getting coordination with long term care and Glenwood is an ordeal to say the least. Glenwood did not send the necessary information numerous times. It took 3 months to get it straight. I thought that they would try to encourage participation of the residents in activities, but they try a couple of time s and then stop, failing to realize my Mother has Alzheimer's and can not remember. There is so much more. Nothing is ever what it seems.

I do not recommend Milestone at all. They tell you what you want to hear, but it is a lie. A family member needs to come everyday and make sure they are taking care of your loved one like they say they are. If we could that then why do we need places like Milestone. Both of my parents passed away within 8 months of being there.

It's a zero - They are great actors! As soon as you sign your loved one in and pay over $[removed], Everything changes. They smile and lie right your face! Keep on looking, do not SETTLE! Sure, activity director is new with lots of energy. She is the only genuinely caring person I have met there. Absolutely not trained or certified personnel. They take anyone off the streets as staff.

They complained constantly how under staffed they are. Food was a 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich a lot. I witnessed other residents complaining about food. I often brought food to my dad. My father's door was locked to his room to keep other residents out. I waited over an hour to get inside his room because there was nobody around to let me in. Since he was in memory care someone to have to let you in and out. I often waited half an hour just to get in and just as long to get out.
