Our family had an in person tour and based on our tour experience we just did not really like it, we were not very impressed

This is a nice, secluded place. They have comfortable rooms for the residents. The staff are friendly. The community is close to family to be able to see our loved one easier. The doorbell response time from the staff could be improved, as it does take a while for them to respond. The room has nice windows and private bathroom for my loved one. The community is able to provide medication management, bathing, and dressing assistance, and the community works well with hospice.

Some of the staff members were great and others were not. The Landings community could work to improve on their overall communication between themselves, the residents and their families.

This review is based off of our experience a year ago. Most of the nurses were wonderful here. Sometimes the care was really good sometimes it was not so good and I felt like I had to be here to overlook them to make sure he was getting the care he needed. They did have a lot of turnover of staff and they seemed understaffed quite often. I would not recommend at this time from what I saw during our time here.

The general staff would be a four out of five, but as far as the upper management goes, that would be a one out of five. The rooms at this community are about a four out of five, and the food would be a three out of five.

Nice facility. However, too expensive for our mother to live in and geared more toward assisted living rather than independent. We have other options to look at.

My friend is in this community and she has a private room. She needs to be more challenged than she is now. Most of the staff is good. It also has a nice outdoor area. They will engage her to join the daily activities. They serve 3 good meals a day. It is always nice and clean. I would recommend this to families.

I toured this community when looking for a place for my parents. Out of all of the places I’ve toured, this one had the best food. It’s a smaller establishment and they had local chefs that prepared the meals onsite. I don’t think the building was very well kept up with, though. Some of the furnishings were a bit older and the building, overall, was a little outdated. The dining area was nice, though, and the food was good. There wasn’t a lot of room to walk around because the grounds were sandwiched between 2 parking lots. They also didn’t have a lot of greenery or nice views, so I was a little disappointed in that regard.

While touring this facility for my Mother, I immediately noticed that the residents seemed to be farther along with Alzheimer’s than my mom. This community feels like a nursing home and when I walked in, there was even a resident asleep at one of the tables. The marketing director who gave me the tour was very helpful and seemed nice. I would recommend this facility to families who need more care with their loved one.

My mother has recently made the move into this community and it has been a little bit of a difficult adjustment for her. Although the staff are very kind and have been attentive to her needs she is having trouble making this place home. She has not been that impressed with the meals so I am thinking we are going to start making them for her. Overall the care is fine at this place and we are making the best out of our situation.

This is a beautiful community and even though my father was only there for 2 weeks during that time some of the nursing staff were so very kind and caring with my dad. Dad loved to dance so they would dance with him all around his room and it made him feel so good. Unfortunately I also had a very bad experience with a few of the staff there. I was told that I was calling too often and that they had everything under control with my dad's care and his meds when I would ask about him. I was also turned away when I brought my children to see their grandfather and told that they upset him and it was hard to calm him down after one of their visits. Sometimes when I came to visit (by myself) I found that his daily care needs had not been addressed he was wearing soiled clothing and I cleaned him up and changed his clothes for him. My dad did have a fall and was taken to the hospital for observation and when we called the community about it there was no record/report on file yet he had been transported by the paramedics because of the fall. My father did not go back to the community as we brought him home under the supervision of hospice until he passed.

Food quality poor and some recent staffing issues.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Location and services provided matched what we were looking for.

My experience with this community has been a pretty good one. My mother isn't the easiest person to get along with, but they are trying their best to care for her. The staff have been very patient and understanding. They have had a big turn over in some of the key areas in the community. It is a nice and clean community. They have nice outings outside the community and she enjoys them. Overall, I know she is safe and being cared for there. I would recommend this community.

I would like to see improvement on the meal menu. The meals are intrusive. The culinary director doesn't have a clue on how to plan a menu. She is not good at all. There are some staff members that rise above others. Some of the staff members care more than others. The apartments are nice. The facility is adequate. The meals are my main concern. At this point, I wouldn't recommend the Garnett Place.

Our family had an in person tour scheduled and when we arrived the person was no there to give the tour. We spoke with other staff and no one was willing to give us a tour and told us to come back the next day and we just did not appreciate that

I would think twice about going here or placing your parent here if you want medications administered. Also, some staff is condescending. Question everything you are told and have it documented.

Regarding the Memory Care Assisted Living I would say they have a decent facility with good care. Activities are fairly limited - not always a lot offered, especially on weekends which has been rather disappointing. Beware that this is really just an early to mid-Alzheimers facility. Anything that becomes remotely behavioral will likely require your loved one to be discharged.

Left overs for supper? They served lasagna from 2-3 days ago and it was so bad that some of the residents ate dried breakfast cereal instead. Food seems to be an after thought by their new manager. All worried about cutting costs for corporate's bottom line. I have been cooking meals for my mother just so she doesn't go hungry. For $4700/month she should be getting 3 high quality meals per day. No one seems to care.
