I toured facility with my daughter, and it seems to be very nice. The apartments were very nicely laid out with a fully-equipped kitchen, although it would appear that the 3 meals provided would be very appetizing and are provided in a restaurant-style environment. Security is good, as residents have key entry into the community patio areas. The area is an up and coming part of the city, but it's really 'too busy' in the immediate vicinity for my preference. Also, you have to be able to exit your apartment on your own in an emergency, which would be a problem for myself if I were on the second floor. The facility is a two-story apartment complex. They have a full roster of activities, fully equipped library, etc. The community spaces are very nice, but there are no private balconies or patio spaces, which I really wanted. If I needed to have additional assisted living requirements in the future, I would need to move to another apartment to their separate assisted living facility. Their staff seem to be very pleasant and helpful, and their rates are reasonable.

Raider is great! servers are well trained and attentive (most of the time) Housekeeping is better, maintenance is fair, buses are old+in poor shape + furniture is showing it's age (6 years) dinning tables are wobbly, scared more work needs to be done. Sometimes suggestion are ignored after telling us "we will take care of it" 5 years is too long to wait for fixing the problem of cold air when front door is opened!!! Fire place repair is a joke!

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Mother. It is a newer facility and it is gorgeous. It overlooks the canals in the area and it feels like a hotel. The rooms are wonderful and my wife has even said she would love to retire here. The marketing director who gave us the tour was knowledgeable and gave us clear answers. However, this facility was not a good fit for my mom. The community feels aseptic and I while I was here I never really saw any of the residents. It’s a nice place but I would only recommend it to people who are more active.

Good for some people but not for me

I was here briefly. For some people it’s very good, for me it wasn’t. I moved in because the facility has activities, there’s an exercise place and things like that, and it’s just like a big community. The room that was there was only 675sq feet and it was on the third floor, whereas previously I was used to a much larger room. When I moved in, the electricity was out and the elevator was out which meant that I was forced to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs every time and I have COPD which made it difficult. I asked how often the electricity goes out and they said not that often…which, to me, meant that it’s happened more than once. To get from one side of the building to the other was very lengthy, which made me anxious. The people that worked there were very nice and the other residents that were there seemed to like it. The cleanliness was great and I didn’t see anything that was unkempt or out of order. The lady that took me on a tour of the place was very nice and very informative. The price that I was going to be paying included 20 meals with a free breakfast, a landline, tv, housekeeping twice a month, trash pickup 3 times a week, and laundry about twice a month. I would recommend that people look at this place for themselves.

This place is like a dream come true!

My mom and I chose this place because it really fit the type of place that we were looking for. It’s a really new facility, only been open for maybe less than year. We were referred through A Place for Mom and because of that, we were actually able to get to the front of the line to get my mom moved in as soon as possible. It was a bit of a painful set up at first, but overall the staff has been great and easy to communicate with. The food is good and my mother gets 3 meals a day, but it’s at timed intervals so you aren’t able to get a snack if you want to. They have 2 lunchrooms, so I don’t know if the menus are different at each one but there are pretty limited choices. The facility is kept very clean and my mom gets housekeeping once a week where they’ll change her sheets and clean the apartment. She’s responsible for her laundry for most of the week but when housekeeping comes, they’ll do a load of laundry for her. Something that I really like is that the apartments have their own washer and dryer that are provided by the community. Maintenance repairs or replaces any issues that she’s having they’re really good about doing it in a timely manner. They even installed handholds in the shower for her! She gets an alert necklace that she can wear around her neck just in case something happens and it operates 24hrs a day so someone is always there to help. There’s a group onsite that provides healthcare called Golden Acres, so she doesn’t have to leave the facility to see a doctor. There’s a nurse practitioner that comes in about once a month to check on her and do an evaluation of her meds and make sure she’s doing okay. They provide a number of activities for the residents to do. Every Friday evening, they’ll bring in some sort of entertainment and have a happy hour. They go on trips, do arts and crafts, bible studies, and they even have a nice game room where there’s a billiards table and ping pong. The facility is very, very nice and it’s 55+ independent living so my mom loves that she is able to talk with and be around people her own age. They also have an indoor swimming pool and fitness center! I would definitely recommend living here. Any issues I’ve had were external and nothing at all to do with the facility itself. The staff here is so nice and this is the only facility that’s really like itself, there isn’t anywhere else like it. It’s like a dream come true!

More bang for your buck!

My mom wanted to find somewhere that was independent living and when we got here and saw what she was getting for her money, it was a no brainer. The overall condition and cleanliness of this community made us so impressed; I’ve never had problem in her room or the rest of the place when it comes to cleanliness. The leasing coordinator was very friendly and helpful and the staff is knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. The food has a good quality overall, balanced in nutrition, and has the stuff that she needs and wants. This was really important for her because she did not want to have to cook anymore or rely on TV dinners. They offer some activities like shopping, bingo, and they’ll take the residents out in a van for doctors’ appointments. Everyone else in the community seems very friendly and welcoming too, and mom is making tons of friends. The price that you pay here makes you feel like you’re getting more bang for your buck. My mom was very adamant that she wanted to use her money and not ours so it was important to find somewhere within her budget and Town Village offers a lot of great services despite it being inexpensive. My only issue is that she’s been there since September and still hasn’t had a maintenance person show up to help her get things situated, which is something they’re currently working on. I’ve already recommended this place to others as a good place to live.

The community was very nice and we really thought it would be a great place for,y in-law. But there was not enough care here. It is a separate charge and they are , basically set up like senior apartments. They provide meals, cleaning, and management of the apartments. One would have to pay extra for making sure the resident goes to meals or to help with medication. They have a 3rd party provider who gives the extra help but would have to pay additionally at a la carte pricing. We were wanted to stay within a budget.
