Contacting A place for mom saved me a lot of researching and just plain time and running around. I called on Monday morning and had 4 places set up for me to start visiting on Tuesday. I could have not done this on my own so quickly. Also it was categorizes for me, exam Personal Care or Memory care, and the area in which we preferred to find a place. I'm not sure, being brand new at this I knew the difference. But Natalie at A Place for Mom knew exactly where to look and saved me lots of investigating on my own. Yes, A Place for Mom was a tremendous help!

I think it's kind of a nice place and it's a little far to travel for me, but she liked it and, she picked it, so that's what we did. It's very, very clean, any piece of dirt or anything and they are right there trying to clean it up. There are a couple of people that really aren't that friendly, they don't seem to smile as much, or be as talkative as some of the others, but most of everybody else is very nice, all of the people there know everybody by name, they are a pretty close knit group. They have four or five levels of care and separate each one by about a hundred dollars. They frown on anyone doing their own medication and want you to go through them. Housekeeping is done once a week and they launder the sheets on the bed and towels and wash cloths, but personal laundry, you have to pay or have someone do it or do it yourself. The medication management is close to being on time but sometimes they aren't always on time. There's quite a bit of activities, over Christmas they had childrens dance troups and singing carols, and someone in the library reading today, they take them out on shopping trips and things. Some of the people bake cookies for meals on wheels. My mom chose it because it was less expensive.

We were very happy with the service my loved one received here, and would have kept her there if cost hadn't been an issue. They have a robust staff and are able to handle all different levels of care, and have full time RNs on staff. As a larger facility they have a very good variety of activities as well. It's very expensive, but they provide a good level of high quality care.

Our experience with The Woods at Cedar Run has been good. The people there are friendly. The primary reason we chose The Woods is they are close by and they offered more care services than the other four or five facilities we looked at. I rated lower on "value" because all the places we saw were expensive. Our loved ones seem to like the activities here as well.

I liked the care my father received when he was still able to get around, however, when he was moved to another level of care, (more expensive)I felt they didn't give as much care, don't get me wrong, there were aides that really cared for the patients, but there were aides, that I feel could care less about the patients, other then cold meals and infrequent care, the woods at cedar run is good for elderly people that can care for themselves, not for people who need constant care, I was able to be there 3 days a week and if not for that, I don't feel my father would have lasted as long as he did.

The food is just fair. Sometimes the food is cold. The residents have meetings on the food and the residents ask to change it but nothing changes.

The staff is very good, administrative staff know residents names and appearance to respect staff. Everyone seems to pitch in when needed, not sticking to strict job descriptions, just trying to ensure residents are cared for. The facilities are clean and very pleasant. The food choices are good and preparation is tasty.

What I like the most about the community is my apartment, the food and the people.

The front liners like the nurses and CNAs are doing their job just fine. Doesn't need to be perfect but they did their best considering them being understaffed at times Medication: I was not able to ask why the night or bedtime pills were still there when I checked my husband's pills when I took him home Of course my husband was in a double bed room. With only one bathroom for 2 residents. Some of his stuffed were still there and some were gone. I understand. . . Not all the aides assigned for my husband can remember what belongs who and which goes where . . One of the male aides ( I did not meet him) took the effort to bring my husband diet Pepsi when he's out of that favorite drink. Whether or not he got it from the kitchen or from his own pocket, I still would want to meet him to say Thank You The management: I accidentally issued a wrong check which is my employment account. ( Both accounts were new as I have my bank account changed). The management staff whoever she was, was so mean talking to me over the phone. I explained to her that I was out of the country and told her that [name removed] can't send her another check because I did not bring any check with me . Aside from my apology I promised that I will make it good with the corresponding penalty and/ or interest when I come back. But that woman kept calling me in the middle of the night. . . She was so disrespectful in talking to me. She thought that I played smart on them about money. Whoever she is Talked to me like I can't afford to pay. So unethical But there was lady staff who took her time connecting to my husband's doctor to make things possible for my husband's stay at the new Haven Court in Linwood The food should have been nutritious and healthy. In a matter of. 30 days stay of my husband he Noticeably lost weight

My mother has been at this facility since August. She has been very pleased with her living experience. She was immediately welcomed into the community and quickly made friends. There are numerous activities for the residents to choose from each day to keep them active and busy. My mother really enjoys the staff, who all knew her by name within her first few days at the facility. The staff has been caring and kind providing great care since her arrival. This is our first experience with Assisted Living Personal Care housing. While not perfect, overall it has been positive. My mother is happy and I feel confident that she is safe when I leave.

The admin staff and the friendliness of the staff was outstanding. [name removed] needed a lot of personal care and she was not always willing to listen and the staff were very good with her. The nursing supervisor suggested hospice and [name removed] was very happy with her care with Hospice as well.

My step mother was able to make friends. Yes, we would recommend the community to other families, although they overcharged us for the 2nd month

Onboarding is outstanding. Unfortunately as is the case industry- wide staffing is a challenge. I would highly recommend to others. It is top- notch.

They are extremely caring and want to help the resident to adjust.

Dining is very good Activities are amazing they take wheelchair people out as well. The facility is renovated but it's older in the rooms. They need to update sinks to wheelchair accessible bathroom sinks and kitchens and better hvac personal in bathrooms and bedrooms. Grounds are clean. Staff response time is exceptionally fast

Someone here needs to take accountability for the severe lack of meal choice and quality. It's a beautiful facility. The food needs to come up a bunch of notches and quick. If that changes, I'll change my rating.

I believe they could do a better job at hiring nurses and aides, some of them don't belong there, because they don't care, I was fortunate enough to be able to visit there 2to3times a week.

Getting my mom in and registered and settled was very easy. The director, [name removed], was terrific to work with. My mom was always clean and well tended to. She seemed to be happy and they had a ton of activities, the ability to sit outside And socialize as mature as little as anyone wanted. I was very happy with the experience overall

Everything with 4's have been fine but I feel there's always room for improvement. My mother has not liked the food and has told them to see if they can do better.

I visited once in person so far (I live 600 miles away). My mother seems to be taken care of well. She has a few complaints but the staff I’ve spoken to seem friendly and willing to work with me toward her care.
