My loved one was a resident here. They were short staffed and had staff working double shifts often and not as versed in Dementia Care. Not the best fit for my loved one. We were very disappointed and ended up moving her to a different facility.

A 100 unit faciltiy. Saw exercise equipment there I havent seen for 25 years. Carpets a little on the dirty size. Still seemed more like a hotel.

I felt it was satisfactory for my mom because she had simple needs. I might recommend it for others like her, but overall I would not. The office was usually empty on most of my visits. Contacting them required a series of automated options ending with voicemail. I would have liked to see itemized statements rather than what I got, which was just a monthly total of charges. Mom said the food was just 'okay'. She chose not to participate in events, but I felt they had a decent variety. The actual attendants and the nurse that they have now are great.

The facility itself is kind of old and run down. They could make some major improvements. My loved one was only here for a week in respite but it was not the best experience. I would not recommend Moraine Ridge to others.

Unorganized, horrible communication, understaffed at dangerous levels, little to no activities, horrible management. If your loved one cannot advocate for themselves, do not place them here. They would have nice staff from time to time but they don't stay long or they're run out by the management and other staff. Very sad as I heard it used to be a decent place many years ago. Also, many of the 5 star reviews are from their own staff and management, don't be fooled like we were.

As my mother and I walked out of there I said: " Can you spell depression?" It was dark inside, all neutral colors everywhere, there was one resident sitting in the general area when you first walk in, (not one resident nor staff in the activity room which had only 7 chairs) no lights on except in the hallway where the apts are. The hallway smelled of urine even though no apt doors were open, not a sound coming from anywhere. I thought, "This is where people come to wait to die." The apt was nice, the young gal who gave us the tour was very friendly, smiley, but did not have all the info necessary to help an inquiring potential resident. Being so far away from town was also a huge negative.

The management is horrible!!! Don't send your loved one to live here!! They are under staffed horridly!! ...please run!...they treat the staff with no respect!! Residents are so disrespectful!!! The food is horrible ...CNAs have to help the kitchen staff serve the food . Laundry is never done right . They don't have the staff !!!!!!!!

We were very happy with our mother's care at Moraine Ridge until there were several staffing changes. Now there has been a large drop in quality of the food, and the interaction with the management has been awful in an attempt to address this issue. We are in the process of choosing an alternative facility.

They can't keep staff all the good ones seem to leave. Some staff is rude and it takes a while for call lights to be answered (sometimes 15 minutes and there will be workers just sitting in the office leaving just one running around) They are always short staffed and honestly they care more about money then they do residents. The food is ok. Prices are ridiculous. It always seems they expect (most the time 2) the caregivers to do everything. They are very unorganized.
