As far as answering my questions and walking me through and getting us in, they are good. They are very patient and found their customer service to be very good. As far as their medical team, they have some new people and they need a little more training to be more personal with the residents.

My loved ones have only been here a short time, but so far things seem to be going well. They've settled in, and really seem to be enjoying what American House has to offer.The facility itself is nice looking, and the staff have been very friendly and welcoming. What really matters is that they are happy, and if they are happy I am happy!

My loved one hasn't been here long, but so far I think American House has done a good job. The staff are all friendly, and they do a great job taking care of the facility and the people who live here. The medical staff in particular have been very caring and professional.

I was impresssed with the layourtof the 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and cost per month.

Very nice size units - I am very pleased with my loved ones apartment. It has a nice size kitchen and has a lot of windows with natural lighting and she loves it. It is a quiet environment and everyone seems friendly. My biggest complaint is the elevator. It breaks down more often than it should and then residents are stuck having to use the stairs. The value for what we are getting is pretty good, although I do think they could increase the amount of activities provided.

The place is clean and bright. The residents are very friendly. The caregivers are also friendly and helpful. On the other hand, they are often short staffed, and could improve on their communication, and responding to phone calls.

My loved one was a resident here. They were short staffed and had staff working double shifts often and not as versed in Dementia Care. Not the best fit for my loved one. We were very disappointed and ended up moving her to a different facility.

The facility is okay but the price does not include heat, so it's not a good value compared to comparable and/or nicer facilities in the area. The representative was not friendly and unwilling to answer questions that are "in the brochure". I do not recommend this facility.

This place was lovely, however the residents did not appear to be active in any activities. Also this place would definitely not allow my mom's dog.

We are disappointed with our experience with American House Southfield because we have been having several issues with it. The actual community itself is really good and they have a really good setup, but it just seems like the staff here does not really care about their jobs or the residents. When we try to address one issue and call one place they just direct us to another person and another place then we call that person and they direct us to a different person. Just seems like no body wants to take responsibility. They double book rooms and help you get situated and fix it but they don’t seem to update their books because they will send your services to the room you were originally suppose to be in. They print a menu but when you go to the dinning area to eat there is something completely different then what is on the menu. It is not just a slight difference but rather a completely different meal all together. So you really do not know what they are serving unless you physically go down and investigate yourself then you can decide if you want to eat it or not. They were offering two types of meal plans but it doesn’t matter which one you sign up for because now they only seem to offer one it’s the more costly one. The actual community is really nice and the rooms are really nice it’s just the attitude of the staffing that really takes away the potential of this community.

The staff was unprepared for our scheduled visit, however they rebounded well. Lunch was good, the tour however fell a little short, with such a large facility, there's only one dining room so for residents who's apartment is not close to the dining room there is quite a hike to get there.

A 100 unit faciltiy. Saw exercise equipment there I havent seen for 25 years. Carpets a little on the dirty size. Still seemed more like a hotel.

My Mom is in Linden Square and her care is very unpredictable. The majority of the staff is not friendly and does not seem to be trained on how to deal with people with Dementia. I was recently there to have breakfast with my Mom and there were no caregivers to be seen even though several of the residents needed assistance with their eating. I was the one assisting others to eat. I had to leave and asked the person serving the food (she was the only one in the dining room) if she would assure that my Mom was taken back to her room. I arrived an hour and a half later and my Mom was sitting at the dining room table asleep! I don't have a good feeling about the care she is receiving!

The staff did a good job showing me around their community, they answered all my questions and they took their time with my tour. I just felt that it was more of nursing home atmosphere, and I did not want my husband in that type of community.

Disappointed in moraine ridge right now. That Moraine Ridge lacks communication skills.

I felt it was satisfactory for my mom because she had simple needs. I might recommend it for others like her, but overall I would not. The office was usually empty on most of my visits. Contacting them required a series of automated options ending with voicemail. I would have liked to see itemized statements rather than what I got, which was just a monthly total of charges. Mom said the food was just 'okay'. She chose not to participate in events, but I felt they had a decent variety. The actual attendants and the nurse that they have now are great.

The facility itself is kind of old and run down. They could make some major improvements. My loved one was only here for a week in respite but it was not the best experience. I would not recommend Moraine Ridge to others.

I would not recommend Linden Square. I would have liked for the staff to be more compassionate and caring. Maybe pay them better, and they'll have a better shot at hiring true professionals.

I have a client who has lived at Park House for several years. She wants to remain but is not happy. Staff is good at telling her everything she wants to hear and later not care when something needs attention. Once you are there and see what is really going on it will disappoint. Management talks down to residents and can't be bothered. The food is sub-standard and housekeeping is minimal. Public areas are not clean. If your person needs care beyond medication reminders you will have to provide it. This is not a place for those who are mentally declining. We are now looking for another home. It is too bad because Park House could be better than most senior residences.
