On my family’s sage advice, I contacted A Place for Mom and even though they only had two recommendations that were affordable for OUR budget in the Winston-Salem area, one of them was perfect: Holiday Forsyth Court senior living community I toured the facility on a Saturday morning…unbeknownst to mother, fell in love with it (quiet top floor apartment, facilities, food, kind staff, activities, diverse tenants), and then brought her back a few hours later. She fell in love with it too! They serve three tasty meals daily, schedule lots of engaging activities, etc. Also It’s a very safe place with a receptionist on duty every day. Mom really LOVES Forsyth Court and has made many friends in the month she’s been there.

The staff has been excellent integrating my dad into the Andover community. The residents and staff seem to have a genuine thing going on; no pretense. My family is very happy with our choice to bring our dad here.

It was time to move my mom in law into a place where she could socialize and be safe. Churchill manor is a beautiful place to do that. It’s been 6 weeks and she loves it and already has made so many friends. The staff there are friendly, they clearly love the residents and are always helpful when we have questions.

Clean, quiet, affordable, friendly, convenient location fairly good food , has an elevator, nondenominational church service on site, free transportation available within 10 miles, easy transition

We honestly have no complaints. They keep us informed of what's going on, staff is great. The best part is that my brother calls it home.

The building was clean, bright and welcoming. The food was great. I wish I could remember the name of the woman I talked to, gave us initial tour and assisted with move in. She was absolutely fabulous. They had nice community spaces, activities, and always saw staff walking around and saying hi. Very friendly place.

I would give it a 5 on everything except for the food. My sister is disappointed but she is an extremely picky eater. However, what we like the most about Holiday Forsyth is the The staff and value and we would recommend this community to other families based on our experience so far.

They were very kind and helpful throughout. The community was engaged and interesting. Nice location.

After my sister passed, I was looking for a place for my brother-in-law. Holiday Redbud Hills was an answer to my prayer. He is on a fixed income. Redbud was affordable, provided three meals a day, housekeeping, transportation to get his meds and go to the store, lots of activities and friendly people. Everything and more he and I were looking for. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for him to stay.

I love it here and my daughter is so happy to hear me call it home. If you don't want to go out there is no excuse for being boared. Laura does a fantastic job of setting up entertainment and outings. Now she is talking about getting the gardens going. The meals are a great variety and you can ask for substitutes. We have movie night, entertainment brought in, a library with a book club, laundry available, church choir, floor games in the antrium and everything is covered by the rent. All the staff are well organized right down to the girls/ men who serve and when not serving, they clean our rooms and halls etc. Everything inside and out is tip-top.

It's a nice place. The caregiver team we use are great. Just not happy Golden Oaks raised the rent [fee removed] a month in January. Wish the food options were more flexible. My mother can only eat soft foods, so her choices are limited and some days nothing on the menu works for her.

Staff is friendly, informative, helpful, accommodating. Facility is clean and comfortable. Good service. Good food.

I would give them 5s on all of the above. Well I was only there a few weeks but I liked the activities and outings they offered. The staff was friendly and respectful of residents who had some restrictions. I would absolutely recommend Holiday Woods at Canco to other families.

I highly recommend this facility! Incredible staff who treat the residents like family. My dad is enjoying his later years here and is truly happy. This is exactly what I was looking for! Everything is well done! Great staff, all 3 meals a day are well prepared. Beautiful view and walking distance to a very nice shopping center with grocery stores, restaurants and other shops for almost anything you need. Lots of activities and really nice residents to interact with. Holiday Peninsular was the best choice for me!

Food no institutional food is healthy enough for me. Facilities cannot afford to buy quality food. For 11 1/2 years at [community name removed], a CCRC retirement community, in Asheville, NC I prepared my own meals. So bottom line the food here is "fair." Redbud Hills has an arrangement with the YMCA where I go at least 3 times a week for free Worth a 10 for me. For me it is a secure building where I can receive mail and Amazon packages. My apartment has large windows in my one bedroom apartment. Wide hall ways brightly lighted to walk when sidewalks are covered with ice or snow. And I have a porch for my bird feeders. Of all the choices in Bloomington this is the best place for me. Yes I would recommend Redbud Hills

Even though it's independent living, they do provide 3 meals a day if the residents choose to enjoy the dining hall. Otherwise all units have refrigerators/kitchenettes. They have free laundry on site on each floor, areas for residents to gather for activities, to read, watch movies, play games. They have a van service to take residents shopping, doctor's appointments, etc. They have PT/OT on site that is not part of the facility but can be accessed if needed by doctors order's & insurance allows.

When my sister and I consulted with our brother about moving to. an assisted living facility, he was unsure. When I typed in Assisted Living in Rochester, NY. , a “Place for Mom” appeared and I decided to call for recommendations. We received several names of these facilities along with tour information. We took virtual tours with some and then made appointments to view others. We narrowed our search to 2 taking into account affordability and availability. Once we saw Holiday Fleming Point and met some of the staff and residents, we decided to take our brother for a tour. We could see our brother was impressed and he decided to pick from available apartments his new home. Rooms were spacious and bright with outside patios. The apartment he chose was freshly painted and new carpet was installed. Holiday Fleming Point is beautifully decorated with comfortable recreation areas and delicious dinning menus. Activities are plentiful for residents. He moved in quick and loves his new home.

As soon as I walked in the door I was met by friendly smiling people all eager to help and answer any questions I had or concerns My first couple of days were made easy by the help of all the staff They chose a table for meal times with ladies who went out of their way to make me feel welcome

Bringing my father to a new home was a little challenging. As we arrived everyone was so helpful, positive, happy which made the check in smooth, easy and quick. My father feels at peace, enjoys going to dining hall to eat good food and socialize with others. He’s very happy with the friendly, positive and clean environment. Thank you to the awesome crew.
