We've had somewhat of a mixed experience with Churchill Manor recently. For the most part I think it is a nice place.The staff is friendly, and the facility itself is attractive and clean. However they recently went through a change of ownership and that has caused some turmoil. There's been a lot of staff turnover which has caused some problems with communication and disrupted some of the regular services. The food has been very hit or miss, as they haven't been able to keep a chef on long term.

Can't be beat for professionalism and friendliness of staff ! Bathrooms are VERY small. Food and service very prompt and good tasting. NICE SALAD BAR !!

I feel that there is not as much care available as some of the people need. They have a contract with another company to provide the care, but I do not think it is quite adequate. The assistant managers are very nice, as are all the staff, and the facility itself is very nice and clean.

My daughter and I took a tour of the Manor. It is much cosier than the [different facility] (only 3 stories) A bachelor rents at the same cost as a one bedroom at the [different facility] (only 374 sq ft). We had lunch but it was not hot - who likes med warm mashed potatoes? You could see the residents everywhere unlike the [different facility] where no one was around?? Trying to find out where I can sell some of my furniture, china and books.

The common areas were very nice but the apartments were small and only have kitchenettes due to the 3 meals a day that are provided. Not much storage in the apartments either. The whole place was very quiet with not much activity going on while we were there. The staff did seem very pleasant though.

I think think it is a good community for those who are able to care for themselves. Once you need extra care, or help, it is beyond expensive. If your loved one needs 24/7 care or daily help, I would not recommend Valencia Commons.

It was decent, but several other communities are more impressive. If this were the only place I could afford to put my parents, I would still feel comfortable.

Frequent turnover in staff. Long waits at all meals. Top quality people have left over the past five years. Not what it was when parents moved in. Still a nice place to live. Needs a new management team who are more attuned to seniors and are not rude to residents and staff. Average rent increase has exceeded the cost of living.

Too expensive for what you get, they advertise 5 star chef but you get 1 star meals. . The staff is friendly , they only clean once a month they don't do any dishes. Alot of times they don't empty the garbage cans. I fall alot and when i call for help they always call an ambulance but I don't need one, just need help getting back up.

Afraid my mother needs assisted or memory care and this is independent.....Very nice facility and staff!!!

beautiful place, just too big for my mother. too far for her to walk to get to the dining room and back, few and small elevators. No 24hr nursing on call. Weekly Laundry/housekeeping

Representative was not ready for our scheduled appointment. The representative quoted a price $200 more than APFM. The facility lacked power assist doors, not sure how folks with walker get in and out on their own. The courtyard for sitting is more of a dog park grass with very little landscaping.

In terms of the staff and the facility itself I think Fleming Point is a very nice place. It is always clean, and the two couples who look after the residents do an excellent job. However, one thing I would like to see them improve is to have a few activities for the more mobile and ambulatory residents. They have exercise classes, but they are all chair based exercises, which are not beneficial for my loved one. I'd also like to see them encourage residents to participate more, just to be a little more aggressive in reminding them that an activity is going on.

The actual units are small and not great but the facility and common grounds are good. It's like a high-rise style apt building (maybe 5-6) floors. Avg age looks older, like mid 80's.

Bright and sunny; clean; homey; not a huge place; did not see many activity rooms; nice area of the city; nice views

Overall I think they do a good job at Alexis Gardens. The staff here are very friendly, and for the most part have been helpful and accommodating. However we've run into some issues where their hands have been tied due to corporate policy. It isn't their fault, but it has lessened our experience somewhat.

The people at Andover Place are not honest when they're doing their sales. They tell you all these things that are provided, then you come to find out that you're having to depend on other residents in there, not the staff, to get some of it. They also add on all these little fees that they don't tell you about at the time of the sale. It's only after they get you to sign the contract that you realize all the additional fees. Also, they list themselves as "assisted living" but they really are not technically "assisted living".

My mother had chosen Montero Meadows (in Las Vegas) before I spoke to your counselor. She was disappointed because she couldn't adapt to down sizing from a 4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apt. Eventually she moved back to her home. The counselor was friendly and professional. I would refer this company in the future. RT(New York)

Beautiful building. Personalities sometimes clash but to be expected where senior groups reside. Stated as an "Independent Living" but questioning that. Very comfortable here and intend to not move until my health forces me to move.

The only thing that affects me is that everyone is older than me. The food is better than average. None of the places have activities that I like, but they have some entertainment, and some of that is pretty good. I have to sit with people I don't know when I go to eat, I don't really like that. I have a little kitchenette, which is nice. They are real nice people and it's very clean. It's not a bad place.
