09/29/11:spoke w/the director.$2000 for studio - 1 bdrm @ $2675;will put name on waiting if need be;private pay community;don't take assets;health care providers come in but not included in rent;only need 30 day notice to leave;2-5% rental inc/yr

No in room full kitchen or washer and dryer. Staff was outstanding--really nice people. 2 bedroom was preferred layout. Didn't like hotel style heating/cooling units in each room.

Nice but too big and only have 1 bedroom available at the momeent. Assisted living support separate.

This is not an assisted living home

Higher priced than expected. no laundry included in apartments. Enjoyed lunch with the Director.

Clean, answered all our questions. will transport him to doctor. Looked at studio and one bedroom. like that there is a live in employee. lovely grounds. good location. concerned about higher level of care if needed.

Cordial staff (lauren) Nice amenities revolving around dining. Fees may put us in a studio or 1 bedroom. 3 story structure with very limited grounds. Facility is clean and well organized. Parking for residents and guests appeared congested

The rent includes cleaning her apartment once a week. That doesn't happen. My mother just had surgery and they are supposed to bring her meals to her. They didn't feed her dinner last night and hadn't planned to feed her breakfast until I came in to find out why. There currently is no manager and someone from corporate is here to observe and hire someone. They are understaffed. Repairs are hard to get done. Had to wait weeks. When my mother's shower broke their solution was to make her walk to the room Nextdoor which is the employee break room. The talk between the residents is that many are moving out because it is too expensive here

My tour at Fleming Point was not great. It just did not settle well with me. And I did not like the location.

The facility is lovely, it looked very clean and polished. We did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling though. The staff were not approachable and did not seem excited to help and the residents we encountered were not the friendliest. Just not the place for us.

The community is kept very clean, and the staff members are very nice. However, due to the covid restrictions there are minimal activities, they pretty much only have bingo. The location is great, it is near a therapy and exercise centers, and it is very close to Goodwill, and a high school football field.

The food is not good for seniors. The food bland and boring, the variety was lacking. The community is 100 % independent living, and they do not offer any assistance other than housekeeping that you need to pay extra for. They need to offer more engaging activities for the residence. There has been some turnover in management also. I would only recommend this community if your loved one was completely independent and the community fits your needs.

This place has its up and downs, trying to provide comfort during COVID, the management did their best to keep the residents and workers safe.

I definitely am not getting good service. The food is awful and I don’t eat most of it so it is going to waste. Thankfully I am able to do most of my cleaning. For what I am paying for this apartment, it is not worth it and I will be looking elsewhere

My biggest concerns are lack of security on site, only one small elevator for a large 3 story building, and the practice of scheduled meal availability in the dining room. Also, the kitchens only have a refrigerator. For an independent senior living community, it should include a stove top, oven , and garbage disposal.

We moved my mother into the community in November 2018. During her time at the community, she enjoyed most of the activities, meals and staff. She had a large 1-bedroom apartment that had been well-maintained. The facility is older and needs a few updates (some of which have been done recently). While Mom was well, this was a perfect place for her. Unfortunately, Mom started to decline soon after moving in and she had to move out in April 2019 and into a nursing home. The staff at the community were kind and concerned about Mom's health. We did use outside services for a brief time to check on her & ensure medications had been taken. Mom only spent 66 days in her apartment out of the six months she had leased. She is doing well in her new place at the nursing home. The lease is month-to-month. The community requires a 30-day notice for move-out. There is a catch - if you voluntarily move out and do not give notice at the end of the month, you will be held over until the end of the following month (i.e. give notice on the 2nd of January, you are financially obligated through the end of February). Even if a resident dies, 30 days notice is required. The language in Mom's lease was a bit confusing - stating that if she required a higher level of care, the lease terminates. It also doesn't specify if wraparound applies to death or if the facility terminates the lease. My point of bringing this up is to make CERTAIN you understand the stipulations up front. The facility management pointed to corporate's guidelines and that "their hands were tied". One would think that if a resident required a higher level of care, only a 30-day notice would be sufficient (as is law in Tennessee). The practice seems a bit unfair in holding a senior on a limited budget beyond a reasonable notice period. Also, make sure you have a plan in place should your loved one need assistance with anything - this is not an assisted living facility, nor do they have nurses on site. We knew this up front, but didn't have a clear plan in place should Mom's condition change.
