For everything that we have asked for, they have been quick to respond and resolve. This is independent living, so there really aren't any care services. It would be nice if they had in-house medication reminders, though. Also, there is only one elevator. So, in a community where there are 100 residents, that can be a little difficult. The only issues have been more with the parent company. There haven't been any issues with Birch Heights themselves. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

My sister was lonely and needed some help with general stuff. She is really happy here and we are so glad we found it.

We toured this and it was newer and was excellent. They had a gormet chef and activities. We chose a different Holiday community, that is just as nice. This was a little more expensive, but their apartments are a little bigger.

I think it's really great. I feel like the food is good except they serve too many carbs, potatoes, biscuits, and pasta. They need to serve more protein, they don't serve enough chicken and fish. The staff through the week is excellent but on the weekend, some don't show up for work, they are training them properly. They are working to remedy this now.

Every one there is very nice and helpful

I am very happy with The Lodge at Cold Springs for many reasons; the staff is wonderful! The tenants are all very pleasant and in good spirits. You can tell they are well taken care of. They think of everything, every need is met with a warm smile, the home health aides are there 24 hours a day and are as sweet and helpful as can be! More importantly, my mother absolutely LOVES it there! The food is delicious and definitely geared toward seniors' needs. The facility is well maintained, clean, warm and friendly, and well decorated for all seasons. The staff really, truly care about their tenants. My mom has said to me on numerous occasions that she never imagined that she would end up in such a lovely place. I am forever grateful to A Place For Mom for finding The Lodge at Cold Springs for my Mom! :-)

Thorton Place is a busy vibrant community for my mom - who is exceptionally social for her 90 years and needed more contact with people than she was getting at home. After visiting 5 different facilities in town, we found Thornton Place a perfect fit for her. Her memory has improved since taking residence there - the staff is so warm and helpful - and she no longer has to cook or clean. It's the best value for the money in town for those seniors who want to live an active independent lifestyle with just the right amount of help!

My main concern for my Mom here was that she would be comfortable and safe, and Birch Heights seems like a great place for both of those. Mom is really enjoying the social atmosphere here, and is having a lot of fun.

I have been very pleased! They are very helpful very friendly. They are very accommodating, and communicative. They have done a great job, with helping to get adjusted and integrated into the community.

The staff has been nothing but perfect, communication and everything. I don't live in the area and they were able to notice when things were taking a turn for the worse. The value was excellent. They allowed smoking, which can be hard to find. The food was delicious, and they gave us a full meal with pork chops and even fed the movers when we brought her.

Beautiful facilities. I wouldnt mind living there

She seems to be doing really well there. She is getting the attention she needs, so it is worth the price. It's a wonderful facility. They keep the community very clean. They have transportation and housekeeping, meals, everything is included. They have a salon and a pedicure area, a beautiful restaraunt. They take them places and have bands come in and play music. She seems to enjoy the food. I can't think of anything that could be improved. They are very, very helpful, and cater to her. She is enjoying life and making a few friends. I highly reccommend them, and they seem to genuinely care for the residents.

After talking with a Place for Mom and checked out Echo Ridge and was pleasently surprised to see the facility. The staff was very helpful in explaining the services provided . The facilities were top notch with virtually no need for anything more. The dining facilities, the menu and service were great. They worked hard to see that our available budget could work.

The management was incredibly helpful in getting my mom moved - and were there to help us with everything from financial choices to actually moving her! This place is hopping! Tons of activities, great food - just couldn't have found a more perfect place!

I looked around at other places and I was happy with the value they offered. They really worked with us on the pricing. There is something going on all the time and the people participate in the activities, they aren't just sitting around. It seems to me that they have a really high management turnover. They have all been great, but just when you start to really get to know them they are gone and there is someone new. Also, the food could be better. They have an on-site hair salon, housekeeping and transportation. When I walked in to tour, the people there were so great, I just knew it was the right place. My mom moved 60 miles from the home she lived in for 47 years. She moved to Echo Ridge in August and has already developed many friendships and is very happy. And that makes the rest of the family happy.

What a wonderful facility! A stellar management staff, resident services staff, good mix of activities, reasonable cost, excellent food with multiple choices every day for every meal and a superb privately run aid service on site for extra needs for some residents (pay for what you need). Positive attitudes & smiles from ALL staff. Fleming Point saved my Dad from years of boredom in a nursing home.

Visited them lat Thursday and enjoyed the lunch, and the tour. Whoever built this thought about seniors. The halls are not that long, and the people were very friendly. They took their time, and even spoke with the chef personally. I have to consider the distance.

I've eaten there several times and the food is good. They don't eat there at night because they offer desert and bread at every meal. I wish they would have a little more in the way of options for low calorie, or special diets. It seemed a little more relaxed and homey, than the other one we were looking at. They have a recumbent bike, that they like to use, which is nice.

Rock Creek was a very nice place for my mother. They are very kind and considerate. The live in managers are caring and listen well to the residents. There are many and varied activities available. Apartments are cleaned regularly, linens are provided. The dining room is very pleasant and friendly. There are ambassador residents that make the newcomers feel welcome and make sure they have companions during meals.
