It was fine. My Dad enjoyed his brief stay. The food was ok, not super great but not horrible either. Our only true complaint would be how medication is handled. Anyone going there would truly need to understand what medications are necessary and be an advocate for themselves.

The food is a big disappointment. It's rarely what's posted on the weekly menu board & it's always served cold, never warm enough. Mother didn't get a shower, her clothes washed or her room cleaned at all in her first week. Her morning meds were skipped one day & I discovered that she had not been given her Eliquis at all for at least a week. Mother is legally blind & I've told them about that, but there's been no effort to let her know when activities are happening & no effort to explain how other things are done. I don't think all of the staff members have even been told about her vision limitations. Watching TV is her only entertainment & she has a huge 75" TV, but the Direct TV service is sketchy & the channel she watches almost exclusively often freezes up & there's only one person who can re-boot the system to get it back. When that happens at night or on the weekend, she's stuck with no TV until that person gets back.

There was a high turn-over in both admin and staff. Staff doesn't have specialized training with memory care patients but my mom was in that building. For general care, it's should be fine.

For independent patients it is fine but for those that truly need assistance it is a little more difficult due to the lack of staff but I will say it is getting better lately and my parents are getting better about asking for help. I was told certain things would not be issues and they have been initially but we are working through those concerns. Overall a good facility and glad we have them there.

It's adequate but you could probably find better. Seems very nice when you go to visit but most of the staff is indifferent to the residents. The staff needs better training, more supervision and less time playing on their phones.

My experience has been good and bad. Usually they are pretty good with the patients. But they have a huge turnover with employees. I just feel that they should notice if something is not right, I shouldn't have to ask to do a urinalysis.

When it comes to the care services, we are not sure he's getting cleaned as well as he should be but he could also be denying help with bathing. He's put on weight and he says food is good. They need more activities. Supposedly they're hiring an activities director but I don't think it's happened yet and I feel they should make the memory care residents participate in activities it's one of the more affordable facilities and I think it's great there's no steps of care

I would encourage you to look at other communities before deciding on this community, to make sure it is the right fit for our friend. The director was great at the beginning and was able to get our friend in quickly; however, it has gone downhill. There has been no communication about the pipes bursting, and other issues within the community. Our friend has only complained about the food. The food needs to be softer for the residents to be able to eat. I was under the impression that the community would take the residents out for lunches and dinners and activities, and now the residents have given up in asking for this as it hasn't happened. I wouldn't put another loved one here due to the lack of communication, food, and other concerns we have.

This is a newer facility, but we weren't happy with dad's care here. I feel like the memory care staff isn't properly trained for that kind of care. They don't have a good variety of activities and don't encourage the residents to be interactive. I think it's definitely a better fit for assisted living.

I didn't care for the facility as much as others we looked at. The dining room looked small and not as nice. The facility consisted of four buildings that weren't connected to each other, with walkways that were hard to traverse with a walker. They used a pullcord system for residents to call for help, and we preferred a pendant system. I thought the staff were really nice though.

I really liked Country Cottage, probably the best out of all of the ones we toured. Unfortunately they have just recently shut down their location in Hoover and their other location was too far away for us to drive to.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was nice but it felt really claustrophobic. There was not really an outside space or courtyard and it was not a stimulating environment what so ever.

Make sure to check into the facility thoroughly. It's a very nice facility. there is no transportation right now either. The room sizes are nice, you have a choice to buy a food plan with the facility. the communication is

No kitchen in any rooms. 210 square feet for 2,810 dollars seems way too expensive.

We weren't as impressed with this as much as Keestone. We passed a call button that was going off and when we asked our guide about it she said they must be with another patient.

We had a very nice tour of this community and the staff did a nice job in showing us around the community as well as answering our questions. My Uncle felt that this was just not what he was looking for.

[Removed] was very friendly and explained everything very clearly for us. He helped up figure out what level of care we would need for my father. The community is much smaller than others we visited and has more of a feel of home.

Besides being so expensive, it is okay. Some of the staff members are friendly. We have had Just minor issues. The facility itself is clean. My loved one has been here for a short period of time, but so far everything has been okay. Overall, I rate this property 3 stars because it is fair. It is not the best, but my loved one is comfortable here. My loved one has gotten to know the other residents.

Staff are friendly and personable. However, there has recently been staffing changes. So do your research and ask lots of questions.
