Overall our experience with Spring Meadows of Lansdale has been a good one, but there are a few things they could work on. The facility itself is generally clean and well kept, and the staff seems friendly. However, I do think they could be providing the residents with more individual attention and be a bit more organized. Our loved one has had some issues with items being misplaced.

Our family had started looking for assisted living facilities in Mechanicsville which would be close to my sisters for our parents. When mother passed away in 2014 and Dad had remained at home with caregivers, it became apparent that he needed to be cared for in a facility 24x7. After being hospitalized twice that year within 3 weeks time, we had him discharged to Heritage Green where we had reserved a room months before. Since moving him there, he has been well cared for, has not returned to hospital, has done very well and seems to enjoy the activities on the assisted living side of HG. The staff takes very good care of him and I have been very relieved since we moved him there in 2014. It seems to be a good fit and now they are adding to the facilities and will provide new rooms for new residents soon.

It's okay. My one complaint is the lack of communication and follow through, after a return from the hospital. I've been told they don't typically call the family when the resident returns if they were never admitted, but they have been responsive to my request to do so in the future, and communication has otherwise been good. The grounds seem fine, and the interior is okay, but the dining area has been quite dirty at times. I liked that it was a fairly small place, and the activities director coco is a ball of fire, and she really helped make it a good place.

I know that with the cleanliness they could be better at The Birches of Arbour Square. When I go into her place the toilet isn't always that clean. There are just a couple of things like that. She does like the food there. The only think is I think if we could get her out of her room a little more that would be good. She only goes down for breakfast and dinner. I would like to see the staff try a little harder to engage her. Overall the experience has been good.

Since Mother's arrived at The Birches, she seems to have found a very pleasant situation. Fortunately, even at 100 years old she still manages to take pride in her well-being and expresses her gratefulness to those who look after her personal needs. The nursing staff and management are very obliging, yet it is very important as a family member or friend of the resident to stay in touch and watch for changing in health or attitude, being it to the attention of those in charge. As we all move forward in insure our loved ones welfare, we must continue for seek financial guidance to insure longer term support. The reality is that for many, the money may run out before the resident does. So, it is important to the healthcare providers to have the family seek alternate resources. But for now, Life is a bowl full of CHEERIES!

It's okay. My mom was originally in the open area in Heritage Hill then they had to put her in the more dementia care area. In the beginning everything seemed great. They were saying that she got a little bit aggressive. She had to go from a level one to at level two. We didn't think she would progress that quickly but it is what it is at this point. Eventually, the cost isn't going to be what we need. In the beginning I felt more of a family oriented place. Now I'm a little more distanced from that opinion. It's very clean. Most of all the staff is nice. I think the night staff is the staff that I'd really rather not deal with but the day staff is awesome. Overall they do the right job for my mom.

They do not come and watch for my mom to take a shower as much as we were told they would. At best, 2 times a week. They don't have all the activities that they told us they would have for the tenants, or they are not telling my mom about them if they are. And they don't clean the rooms as often as we were told they would. But the food has been good, above average. And my mom seems to like it and is getting adjusted well. Thanks. And we would like to remain anonymous please.

The greatest disappointment is DVR on the TV is not available. The answer is we can have it with streaming. But what about all the programs we regularly watch. I'm missing a lot of the news because I can't save them. Cant rewind to repeat. What's gone is gone. So much more. It won't be far in the future that I'll be apartment bound. All that I had before is not available. I probably would have chosen Crossroads but feel the manager should have been honest. I told her how important the dvr was. She remained silent.

Overall, the facility is nice, his roommate was very hard to deal with and the food was very processed and institutional so those two things drug it down.
I think the facility needs updates, hvac- it smells musty. However, yes we would recommend Senior Commons at Powder Mill to other families.

The environment is very friendly and pleasant. The staff is very helpful and eager to listen to your needs. The food is a definite area in need of improvement. And laundry services could improve. The healthcare is a definite, plus and very important factor. The nurses needs are very attentive and always available that are on staff.

High turnover in administrative positions. My mother in law has been there a year and a half and they've gone through four memory care directors. Communication is poor. My phone is a back up if they don't get an answer on my husband's phone and they can't seem to get it right. There was one incident where we didn't find out that she took a fall for two weeks when my husband found a buried message in his junk mail. Recently she ran into a physical altercation with an aggressive resident and we were never notified about it until we heard from the Pike County Division of Aging two days ago who opened a case because someone reported it.

Keystone is adequate for our needs but falls short of how it was sold. Food quality is poor and communication is poor. The general atmosphere is friendly and most seem satisfied and content. I’d rate it slightly better than average.

The Executive Director has resigned. So they are now looking for a replacement for him. He's relocating to another state with his family. The Head of the Dining Room goes by Chef, but this is his first time running a kitchen. Let's just say that he's failing miserably!!! Line Cook is a better title for him. The food he puts out is hardly edible. It doesn't matter who the residents complain to about the food nothing changes. They're having growing pains right now.

While the initial tour was very friendly and full of promises and " no hidden costs"... there were. You find out all of the incidentals AFTER you spend [removed] on a community fee. Food is supposed to be " chef prepared" and with alternate MEALS if you don't like the menu. This amounted to grilled cheese, or a burger if you don't enjoy the prepared fried, heavy pasta, canned vegetables type meals. Housekeeping didn't come for at least 3weeks, maintenance struggles, ...I could list many more of my mother's complaints. Suffice to say, she's given notice after less than 3 months and moves out on [date removed]. I'm sure there are worse places... but this wasn't all it was advertised to be. On a positive not, I will say the owner [name removed] is a really nice man who took time to listen to both myself and my mother. Unfortunately, it didn't result in much changes from the various departments.
