The community was to large for my loved ones' needs and the community didn't feel as homie as others in the area.

My ratings are based on COVID. It seems to be a good place for your loved one. They seem to be pretty well staffed. Some of the staff are incredible and go above and beyond. They want to see the best environment for your loved one. This was a huge plus for me.

Since move-in, my loved one has been in the hospital multiple times, for multiple reasons, including dehydration that the staff did not address. There was a fall they never notified me of. My loved one had another fall when I took her to lunch, and the head of nursing read me the riot act when I called her to address the fall - because she said we exposed everyone in the community to Covid. My loved one has had both her shots and wore a mask. I don't understand how that is different than when the head of nursing goes home everyday and comes back. I've had no response from anybody since that day. Because they didn't know how to treat dehydration, they sent her to memory care. They then put her in lockdown, literally locked in her room since Thanksgiving. No one will take her to the ***** doctor, or to get her hair cut.

Be prepared to initiate all communications with the community, I would like to see this improved. I would not recommend this community to others if there were other options.

I would want others to know that it is a beautiful facility, but when we could not be here and keep tabs on everything it is really hard to rate it. For the money we were paying, we did not feel she was getting adequate care that she needed. Before covid the food was excellent, she was very happy with it. Once the virus hit, the quality has gone downhill. They have had a lot of turnover of staff members/management.

The community was regularly clean for the most part. The staff was friendly for the most part. In terms of the care, they seemed to often be understaffed and I didn't think they were attentive enough to my mother as they should have been. For what we were paying, I did not think The Birches At Harleysville was a good value.

The community is clean, but they could to a bit more thorough of a job. The receptionist is always very friendly. We do wish the staff would communicate with us a little more about any issues, problems, or changes in medication. They also lack responsiveness to our inquiries at times. Because they are in memory care, my loved ones are a bit limited in what they are able to participate in as far as activities go. I do wish they would encourage my mother-in-law to participate a bit more. The price here is great for what you get; definitely a good value. They have a very large memory care room where they are both allowed to be together and we found this to be very rare among senior living communities in the area. We felt The Crossings was the right fit because they could remain together. Our rep with A Place for Mom was wonderful and so helpful initially with finding places.

Keystone Villa is a friendly and caring place. I feel the quality of the food has gone down since they are bringing it to our rooms instead of serving us in the dining room due to the virus. The rooms are very nice. I have a studio and it is adequate size. I like that I have a patio outside my room.

Not as clean as the other places. More institutionalized looking. Not a private place to for discussions. Done out at not so clean table in lobby. Very expensive for sharing an apartment with a stranger. Not a happy welcoming environment

The staff was very helpful in providing information. We just felt the building itself was not what we wanted. Too dark. Also felt maybe it's time to update appliances in the apartments. Found the quality of food excellent.

We toured the personal care area. The halls are very long with limited places to sit and relax. They break the community down in 4 "neighborhoods". The room we saw was adequate in size but the bathroom was very small and would not accommodate my mother's walker. The shower was an enclosed shower, again very small. The person conducting our tour was only at the facility for 3 months, spoke very quickly and did not include my mother in the conversation. She didn't show us much of the facility. They didn't have any current availability so I am sure this is a very nice place we just didn't get to experience this on this visit.

I toured Keystone Villa while looking for living options for my mother. I liked it from the standpoint that it was close by and convenient, but I didn’t like that the facility had multiple floors. I wasn’t sure my mother could keep that straight in her mind, and I worried she might get lost there.

Lovely resident rooms. Family rooms for resident's visitors are beautiful and spacious. Excellent activities and various events for family and residents to participate in . Staff is courteous and friendly. Three meals daily, served in dining rooms close to residents rooms.

We had a pleasant tour of this community. Everyone was very kind. The community was very nice, and clean. The staff was kind, and answered my questions. However after assessing my mother, and her needs. They determined that she wasn't a good fit for their community. I did find another community that suited our needs better.

This place right off depressed me. When I looked at the rooms they looked like a old persons dormitory room. I did not like that. The residents that we saw were very happy being there. I just do not think that this was a good fit for mom.

I had a decent tour of this community. The lady that gave the tour was professional. The community was nice, and clean. It was an okay experience, but I didn't get the feeling that this was the community for my mother, and her needs.

Concierge is fantastically friendly and professional. Price is at upper limit of what is affordable to us, probably stretching too high.

I recently toured this facility and I found there to be a strong odor as you entered the memory care unit. I mentioned this to [Removed] who was taking me on this tour. Some of the patients seemed "out of it". I did leave a deposit for my parent for sometime later on in this year. There are questions yet to be answered, as in percentage of yearly increases, emergency evacuation routes, educational levels of aides, medications administration by house physicians, and visiting hours. Do the memory care units have the same aide every day? I would like to see the odor gone before I place my parent in this facility. Before anyone commits their parent to this facility, drive around the facility and then compare to other facilities' area for their residents.

My mother is a fall risk. The alert system in the room is limited to one string in the living area and one in the bathroom. Prior to moving in we were told we could arrange the room in any manner and arrangements would be made for the call button to reach. That arrangement has been to add a length of yarn to the bell. Sometimes it gets moved from the bed area to the chair area and sometimes not. So it is not where she can reach it all times. My mother has mentioned to me that she does not feel they want to assist her when she does ring the bell. I discredit this some for just being my mom.

I only did a tour of the facility. I thought the facility was nice the staff friendly but I was disappointed that the bathrooms in the resident rooms were not wheelchair accessible.
