The fact that I could stay in same space if I need to go into Assisted living - no more moving. Also they don't hassle you to do activities if you don't want to.

What we like the most about the community are the friendly staff & residents. Many activities each and every week.

Her room exceeded expectations. The staff is good at responding to questions and concerns. They provide many activities that give residents a chance to interact. I would recommend to others.

There is too much turnover- it is hard to get to know people. I would like more cleaning and laundry care and maybe the staff to push them to do more activities. Their floor boards were coming apart less than a month after they moved in. My dad's walker kept snagging on the boards. He counted over 2 dozen spots where it was curling up. So they had to replace the boards. So they had to move back in with us until it was repaired. The director said he'd give them free food the month of February because of the inconvenience. Then the next week, the heaters were making strange noises so they had to replace those. (They got to stay there though). Then my dad went to pay the bill for February and he said it went up [fee removed] instead of down. I haven't talked to him since the weekend, but he made it sound like both directors are gone.

So far I would recommend it. They do seem to want to add services on after you get there which costs more. What stood out is the 2 bedroom units and the activities for my mother-in-law.

My Father in Law passed away however during his stay the staff was very caring. The Dr. and nurse visited him frequently. Once he settled in he liked being in the memory care portion.

The facility is warm and inviting, clean, and the food is wonderful! Staff are helpful and friendly.

What we like the most about the Edencrest at Riverwoods community is the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to make my mom as comfortable as possible in her last days.

The room was amazing. They had a lot of various activities for all different interests. They had staff was very nice and accommodating. Overall the food was good, what you would expect at an assisted living facility. Everything was wonderful however my mom was not ready to make the move to an assisted living facility so she was only there for about a month before she moved back home.

Apartments spacious, beautiful and large. Lots of natural light. Facilities are great. There's been decent staff turnover which is less than ideal. Staff overall seems happy to be there. Lots of great activities.

[name removed] is very involved. They cater to whatever the tenant wants. Would be nice for some of the other staff to be more involved.

I am a resident and I have to say the rooms, food, staff and the administrative executive are great. The food is fresh and dietary attempts to offer healthy foods. They try to comply with your individual needs.

I like it. Small community. Good food. People friendly apt nice. Things to do if you want to do them.

Bickford is a good community. The food is made daily right there. It's so good that my Aunt refused to let us take her out to eat! She didn't want to miss lunch. They don't have a lot of activities but it is set up so that the residents can walk freely inside. Must have permission to leave, however family is welcome to come and take them out. There's also a court yard and garden spot they can visit on their own. My aunt is glad to be able to come and go outside in that area. The staff is very friendly.

I would say to have them explain all charges & what it all covers, care plans and etc. To help them make their decisions so their not shell shocked. When a statement comes

Food was not great. Staff was amazing! So helpful and kind! Activities were fun and engaging. Wish bingo was every day. Dining was the only negative, food was unappealing and not a lot of choices. Definitely could improve in that area.

None of these facilities are perfect. They are often understaffed, and administratively they make mistakes. They take adequate care of my Mom.

All went fine, they are very nice. The people were and are very nice. They had my loved one's room all ready for his arrival. There are several activities like bingo, sing along, coloring, etc. I've eaten lunch with him several times, food is fine.

I am quite satisfied with most things so far, no place is perfect but they have been good to me & I have no big problems with anything. I am close to all the places I need to go & no one is trying to make me do things I don't want to do.
