This community was fabulous and it happen to be our first choice. It was just too expensive for the budget we had for my loved one.

the manager lives here. She is so nice and the residents are friendly and inviting.

I chose Somerset Lodge because of the location, the physical openness of the common areas which made it feel more hotel like, and the cost. I find my apartment size to be really good. I have a 1 bedroom with a balcony and I have plenty of room for my furniture in the living area and bedroom. The closet space is incredible, I have 3 huge closets. The kitchenette is a little on the smaller side but it works. The one drawback is that there is only 1 elevator in the center of the building, so at meal time it gets crowded and there is a significant wait. The food is good, but they do not serve ham or shellfish since it is run by 7th day Adventist. There is a big age range within the residents, mostly everyone is very good conversationalists and are easy to get along with. Another thing I would tell others is that the bus they use does not have a lift or handicap access. I would definitely recommend them to others who are looking.

Hudson Estates is absolutely the best place, our loved one is 102 years old and thriving. They recently had a birthday party for him and he had so much fun. We would highly recommend this community to other families. They provide 24hr custodial care, so anytime our loved one needs help he just has to push the button he wears around his next and the husband or wife come immediately.

My loved one seems very happy there. It's a very clean and friendly community. And he tells met the food is great.

After almost giving up on finding independent living for my mother, ….”A Place for Mom” came to mind. We called and Sheila was very quick to respond. She actually set up two places to tour that day! After getting her into the facility; they even called to see if everything was going well. I was extremely happy with A Place for Mom!

They're friendly. It's been a great place for my loved one. We feel very fortunate that we found this place. The cost, location, friendliness, and various amenities are all great.

My tour with Hessler Heights was very good, but the apartments did not have full sized kitchens and I still like to cook so that was something I was looking for.

We chose Mountain View Gardens because it was cleaner, nicer, has an open concept, and also had a lively feel to it. The 2 bedroom apartment is perfect size for her but would be great for 2 people as well. I think they could provide more variety of selection on the evening meals. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

I do think that they should cut back on the sodium with the meals . This is a spectacular community. I like everything about it and the people who run it live on site and I feel that this was really important also. Its a good feeling having this community for my loved one.

We chose Camellia Gardens because of the convenient location to me so I can visit often. The facility itself is so new and aesthetically pleasing. Because of how it is built, there is an enormous plaza in front of it and has everything she could need which is a super plus. They have a variety of apartment sizes depending on what you need. The activities are plentiful and displayed well enough for anyone to see. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

Highly recommended this community, beautiful apartment and friendly staff. They have activities like movies, music, journalism and more for the residents to do.

Everything has been great, there is a lady in management that really expresses true genuine care and that was something that really stood out to us. The only issues we are having is sometimes our loved one is not that thrilled with the meals.

Very nice community. More fancy and more adequate for independent living.

Really nice and good value for your money.

They've done really with well my mother-in-law. The food is good. The residents all really like Bingo, and they have it about three times a week. That's the one thing she'll go out of her room to do. It's a fun group of people. A lot of the people don't go to activities, which was surprising to me. They do have them, but people just don't go. As far as personality goes, I'm pretty outgoing and have met and talked to a whole lot of people. My mother-in-law is less outgoing, which has been hard for her. Culturally it has been difficult as well. She's the only Samoan. But there are a couple of Samoan workers who have been very kind to her. The director of marketing and sales is fabulous. Some of the other staff are just quite young, like the people who serve the food. But moving her in was good. The thing I liked about it the most was it didn't stink. It just smells like a normal place, which I appreciate. The halls are really wide, and it feels very open. A lot of the other places we went into almost seemed claustrophobic, with tiny rooms. The room size at Olympus Ranch was the best value we found, just over 500 square feet, vs. 300-something at other places. They also have beautiful artwork throughout the whole facility. It's so cool and makes it just feel GOOD.

We had a great tour with Ivy Creek. The gal who showed us around was just lovely, but the apartments here did not have kitchens and my mother in law still likes to cook.

It's very welcoming. The residents are always happy, and they're so eager to help and offer their opinions. Unfortunately they're going through a transition of ownership, which has caused some communication breakdown. Their care providers also recently changed, luckily for the better. My loved one doesn't require all that much care, but the new care providers are earning their keep. She reports on the food regularly, as that's very important to her. I thought it was great when I tried it, but she says it's hit or miss for her. Overall it's pretty good, but sometimes their selection is very light. At dinner, they serve only light portions, and they only provide one sizable meal a day at lunch. I think their activities are pretty standard compared to other places.

So far my grandma has had two other friends move in since she moved in this past summer. She is so well cared for and looked after. She's very happy, and it was the perfect place for her. She has independence, but she still has people that are watching out for her. They have a call button that the residents wear if they need help. She has fallen once and pushed the button, and they were there to help her within 5 minutes. They contacted me and let me know she had fallen, and they made sure I had talked to her to make sure she was okay. I feel like they truly care about the people who live there.

Everything with the Linwood has been excellent, we would highly recommend this community to others it is a just an overall great community. The meals are good, our loved one is in the process of getting new dentures so sometimes the meals are difficult to eat, but the staff have been very accommodating and helpful.
