The community is brand new and the buildings are very well maintained. It’s located in a very good area with access to lots of things like strip malls, shopping plazas, restaurants and medical centers, some of which are within walking distance. The area is not too quiet but also not too loud. The quality of the food was not good and my father was complaining about the portion size as well. However in their defense they just changed the chef so hopefully it gets better. My father is not very active but there is plenty to do when he does want to participate. The value of this community is just right; it's the right price for the right amount of care.

Pioneer Ridge is a very warm feeling community. The majority of the staff are helpful, go the extra mile and truly love the residents. I have had a couple of issues there that I have contacted corporate on to resolve..... Honestly, I am now monitoring and that is why I dropped their rating from 5 to 3.5. It feels that upper management does not seem to have the concern for residents as the previous crew who I absolutely loved In summary, I am concerned but giving them a chance to stabilize with new management team(s)

The staff stood out but they have had a lot of turnover so not so much anymore. The food is not as good as it was to start with which is a big factor in the price.

The new activities director is terrible. She does not engage with the residents or listen to their suggestions. The afternoon shopping trips have been eliminated for morning only 2 days a week which are at the same time as other activities. There seems to be a drain fly issue. A plumber needs to be called to address the entire facility, not an exterminator that sprays bug spray. I am overall disappointed in the changes since moving my mom there.

Attention. My father has been living at steeplechase for quite awhile. He has been enjoying most that you offer. However, he hasn't been happy for a few months about the meals you provide. He has complained to me that when he is given a hot meal, it comes out cold. Also when served meat most of the time it is tough. Approximately 1 1/2 months ago he had a meal that caused him to become ill. A few of his friends there became ill with stomach issues as well. Please look into what is being served and the quality of meal. Meals need to be satisfying to Steeplechase community. Thank you for addressing this.

My mom has lived there for 3 years & likes it except the food has become literally inedible at the same time they raised the rent! We had to start buying her own food even though we have to pay for her meals because she started losing so much weight. It’s so sad because it ruins what is often the highlight of their day & not worth keeping her there.

Meals are not very creative or good quality. Mom has had many maintenance problems with her apartment and it took many days to fix them. Pests too. Would not recommend and am looking at other alternatives

Mom has a lovely room and is enjoying her new location. Food quality, however, is going downhill fast and staffing issues abound. Senior management turnover is also happening at an alarming rate. Food quality is definitely a major issue. In summary, mom is not very happy. I would still recommend based on the reasonable price and friendly residents along with a hard working room servicing group (that are short handed and over worked).

As of right now All the folks in management here at Colonial Gardens are very good ----in fact for me things are better than they have ever been since I first took up residence here----seems like a year and a half or so ago.

The staff is friendly and helpful although we seem to be having problems keeping management. The facility is beautiful and well maintained.

The staff is cheerful, friendly, and helpful. There is plenty of exercise and there are games, book club, crafts. The food is very good most of the time but not consistently so. My room is very nice and most of the rooms I've seen are nice. Housekeeping is available. Maintenance is very helpful but, outside of urgent need, requests may get attended to slowly or not at all. The population here is mixed. Some residents have severe memory issues. Many residents have mobility issues. Many residents no longer drive. Transportation is provided to appointments and some shopping. I think I expected people to be more independent. For me, personally, there is a lack of intellectual stimulation. I was worried that I would get bored. However, if that is an interest, you will find your own way to more interesting activities.

My friend moved in to Kennedy Meadows about one month ago. The only complaint that she has so far, is the quality of the food. She tells me that all the people that she has met there, all share the same complaint regarding the food. Please share my complaint with Kennedy Meadows.

Initial interviews attractive but not accurate. Problems getting TV set up, getting consistent hot water which I need for my back, and worst of all, the food. Chef does well when he has adequate help and supplies come. It is not enough that its good maybe 3 to 4 times a week and like tonight I am left hungry. Menu called for a basket of wings and dips. The wings the poorest quality soaked in honey mustard sauce too spicy for me. Not edible. Asked for a sandwich and received freezer bread, tomato, soft bacon and some lettuce. Not good but edible. Also some broken chips. Desert was from yesterday and delicious. There was a very nice cream soup to start. I don't eat much and what I got was most adequate. I can't imagine how some of the large people manage. There are long gaps between soup and meal with nothing to do. The only remedy is for the meal being prepared and ready to serve after soup. 30 to 40 minutes is a lot of time for old people. I don't know what you can do about this but from visiting many places for my parents I know they are out there and want new residents.

There are a lot of things that need work at this place, like getting cameras, security cameras outside having security at night and to be a gated community would be wonderful. The upper management for this place… Hawthorn management is cheap and doesn't seem to care about their facilities. I'm not very happy at all and a lot of of the residents feel the same way. But moving is such a very big problem and the finances also.

The managers have been changing one right after the other. They've changed food companies, so the food is not as good. The activities also have gone down to mostly just bingo.

The only thing I would say is the quality of food has decreased since my loved one has been there, which disappoints her. And she's also having trouble with her unit's AC, and they don't seem to feel it is a priority for someone to come and fix it. Oh, and one thing that I was annoyed with is that we were told that the only thing NOT included in the monthly fee is cellular service. When she moved in, and didn't have WIFI, we learned that oh yeah, you have to get that yourself. It's only included in the common area. It was an expense that she was not anticipating. For the most part she is settling in, and becoming acclimated. The staff is very friendly and the activities are plentiful! She really enjoys the activities and the movie theater.

The staff is controlled by the home office they nothing impromptu. Add breakfast meats more often. Offer additional alternative meals.

I like the different outings they do the other activities they have at the center and not so much that can improve

Management has changed 3 or 4 times in just over a year, this makes older people feel uncomfortable, the food is most of the time spoilt by over cooking and over spiced for most older people and cold! The rooms are really good its a shame, but the residence are afraid to say anything
