My mother lived here for two years and my father in law for 6 months before he passed. This is a very friendly facility and if you are sociable you will have lots of friends and enjoy gatherings. My mom loved dressing up for dinner and playing cards at night when she was able. The one drawback is the turnover of the managerial staff. I noticed that there was a tendency to get worn down by the over 100 elderly people and their needs and wants and health issues. Its understandable though. Perhaps if the managers weren't responsible for waiting on tables, pouring coffee etc for all the meals they would maintain a more interested attitude. There also are quite a lot of residents there who are sicker than Independent Living and who have assistance to keep them there. My mom was one of them. I had to move her to an Assisted Living place as if she fell they could only call 911 and were not allowed to help her up. I understand that and that is why we moved. Mom misses her friends at Jordan Oaks. They could spend a little more on the food quality there. I heard complaints about the meat being so tough they couldnt cut it and I saw some unappetizing meals. My mom wanted bacon and english muffins and they only got those once a month if that. Little things that old people like are important. They have a wonderful in-house therapy group Legacy that really cared for my mom on many occasions. Also Comfortcare who will check on your loved one in increments of 15 minutes at a time which was wonderful.

I liked the location, amenities, and looks of Bella Vista, but my parents are seeking an all-in-one facility.

So far things are alright. It's been a difficult transition after my mom living in her home for 50 years, but she is starting to adjust a little better. We haven't had any bad experiences with Sterling Heights. The place is beautiful, food is excellent, and overall my family and I are satisfied with everything.

It's a beautiful place. Everything very clean and beautifully decorated. Great dining area and lobby. You have everything that you need and staff is there to help whenever needed. Very nice and caring staff. Great meals and a good place to meet others. It's a safe and serene place.

We toured this community when we were looking into options for our loved one. This is a very nice looking independent living community. What we saw of it was clean and well kept, and the people seemed friendly. It didn't end up being an option we could consider as they could not accommodate our loved one's dietary needs, and she would not have been appropriate for an entirely independent community.

Very nice property and apartments were large and nicely equipped. We were given lunch, which was a limited menu. My grapes had mold on them. We didn't like the fact that everyone had to be seated at one time for meals. It was a bit like elementary schoold. Also, the activity director was loud and silly, not dignified at all. No snacks were provided during the day for those who might have missed a meal. There was no pool for water aerobics and the exercise program was limited.

Best of the three visited. On the list for consideration.

My Grandma has been at Cottonwood for about 6 weeks. She loves it. Everyone is so sweet. Food could be better, but overall Cottonwood has been great. Management greets her with a hug and staff go above and beyond.

Overall they do a good job at The Woods at Holly Tree. It's a nice looking place, and everyone seems very friendly. My loved one moved from another community that did a much better job in terms of activities and outings, so that has been a bit of a letdown for her, and an area they could definitely improve on.

The quality of the food has gone down. It takes long to feed the residents. There are complaints of two hours wait to get fed, from when the water is brought until the food is brought. Two hours is too long have the seniors sit there. When we first went to check it out the food was really good. The type of food they’re serving is not up to par – the chef could be better. The facility is beautiful and the rooms are awesome. The staff that live there are very good, but they need to pay attention to their

Our experience here has been pretty good so far. The community is great, and they seem to have a good selection of activities, though my loved one does not often participate. The food is good, but there are massive portions -- too big. Our only complaint so far has been with the night entrance policy. On returning to the community one night, the instructions were followed on how to enter the facility with the key and such, but my loved one was not able to get back into the facility. Even after buzzing to the front desk, nobody came to let her in. She had to spend the night with a relative, which was very inconvenient as we had used the key and followed all of their instructions exactly. Otherwise, it has been a really great place!

It's an excellent facility! She likes it a lot, and we like it a lot. She is happy, and we are happy. The one thing that we aren't happy with is that the van is not handicap accessible. The food is pretty good, there are some things, they make that aren't as good, but I would say 4 out of 5. They have good people there too.

It's a good deal, and she got a good thing going there. They always have something going on and she is constantly getting invited to things. The food is pretty good, and balanced, I think that she would like some more vegetables, but I don't think everyone feels that way. The laundry lady is just perfect, and they do a good job cleaning her room too. I don't think there is anything that needs improvement. Everyone is very efficient, and they have different services onsite and those companies are are all good too. I think overall, the people are happy and there is a lot of laughter and friendliness going on.

So far we’re good. It seems good. This is a great community for independent living. Everything seems to be working fine. This is the only community we’ve had anything to do with. We're happy with it so far.

Visited Whispering pines on April 27 at the open house. Had a more southern feel about it. Very comfortable. Looked at several rooms, lots of closet space all doorways appear to be wheelchair accessible. Refrigerators full size. Best price seen, most utilities included no move in community fee. Still need to have a few questions answered regarding home health care if these are answered to our satisfaction we will probably move Dad to this location.

It's really only been a week that my Dad has taken up residence. All criteria has only been in place for a week. Having said that. It seems like a wonderful place. I'm sure my Dad will be very happy here. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The décor is beautiful. It is a great value for the money. It's in a great location.

Sterling Heights was amazing, not only was the facility breathtaking, the staff was exceptional too. The transition was smooth and my client felt comfortable, all questions were answered, no hidden costs, and multiple staff members spent quality time with us. We knew Sterling Heights was a perfect fit! Not to mention the size of the room, weekly cleaning service, movie theater, ice cream bar, so many perks at a reasonable price. I would recommend this facility to any family!

Facility is not open yet. Residents living in teporary facility seem very happy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location and affordable. Looking forward to trying meals. Like that some rooms have balconies.

The people at the Highlands in Westborough and very nice and accommodating. The housing itself is clean and very nice. The food could be better and they could offer more of a selection of drinks, like soft drinks. However, overall this is a nice place to live.

I only saw this place briefly for a tour, but I thought it looked like a nice place overall. My loved one did end up moving in here, and although she misses her house she seems to be doing well here. One feature I saw that I really liked was that the community has a small library room, which I thought was very nice.
