Since the turnover six months ago patient care has been abysmal. The new medical staff had never even seen my loved one…didn’t recognize his name and admitted they’d never seen him. Apartment was filthy and smelled of the urine they let him sleep in without doing his laundry or attending to his personal hygiene. Medications were misadministered. The administration does not respond to emails or phone calls so you can’t get any answers or information. Stay away from Harmony.

They put up a good front but did not deliver. Corporate never responded to our emails. Go somewhere else. They promised great service but did not provide it.I would not recommend that place to anyone.

The memory care section is very depressing, the staff is not as caring or involved or as friendly as the assisted living side. Weekend staff are AWFUL. You get an ignored depressed feeling walking into the locked memory care doors.

Our family had an in person tour with Harmony at Martinsburg and the lady giving the tour was late getting to us and then she acts like she didn't know why we were there. I felt like the tour was very rushed and she didn't go over any prices with me. She gave me a folder and said all of the information was in it and if I had any questions to call her

Before you commit, they promise you the world, and they're so convincing ! Great smoozers ! It would take three weeks sometimes to get the room clean and that's after persistence of asking. If you need to talk to somebody, they're always in a meeting unavailable! Doctors not available! Quality care not there! The food was good and the activities were good! And it ends there! Value for the money zero !

Harmony at Hershey was not the right environment for our loved one, and they did not communicate with us at all. There was not enough staffing and anytime we would reach out with questions or concerns it's like they were running away from you, they didn't want to talk to us. Our loved one needed more care then what she had received. We felt the staff and doctor would not listen to us. However the activity people were absolutely wonderful.

Our family did not have a good experience at Harmony. I moved my mom out after 30 days. It looks great when you tour, but don't be fooled by the makeup! They are very difficult to get a hold of anyone. They make you feel very uncomfortable there. I often found my mom in the common area with feces on her and partially dressed, and this was in only a few weeks. If you approach staff, they made you feel bad and ashamed to ask for help. I could write a book about the numerous bad occurrences at Harmony. I have moved her to a different facility, and things have been so much better. At first with Harmony, I thought that was just what the nursing home industry was like. But I now know it was just Harmony.

Several friends and family members moved in a few months after they open . They have been through 3 Executive Directors and Chefs since they open . They have not even been opened a year. If you are expecting a nurse there either on the Memory Care side or Assistant Living past 9 or 10:00 pm look else where . My mom is perfectly able to take care of all her personal care needs with the exception of medication management. She was just discharged from Christ Hospital and because she was on a PRN medication and one on every 8 hrs she could not return to Harmony . She is paying for Medication Mgt , but they do not have a nurse to administer them or even hand it to them .

I wouldn't recommend anyone go to Harmony at Savannah. After paying attention to the details of the care my loved one this made an impression on me, and it didn't meet expectations. There have been times that I have had to clean the room to make sure it doesn't smell. There is a commode and there are times that the staff don't clean it, or don't rinse and wash the commode out. There was a time that the staff left the shower water running from the handle. There was a time, that I smelled marijuana on a staff member. Most of the staff are nice to work with. There is a nurse and an aide that have a condescending remarks and attitude towards the family. The plug in air fresheners are used in the community, and this is a fire hazard and toxic to the residents and visitors. I finally got a call back after leaving several messages about the questions I had over the bills. The front desk staff are very nice. There is a delivery fee if the staff have to deliver the meals to the resident's rooms.

Anybody who can't take care of themselves should not go or be admitted there. I was told repeatedly that my folks would be taken care of. They did not get meals often and one day did not get lunch or dinner. They were supposed to have three aids per floor and rarely did, some weekends there was only one. If you can take care of yourself it might be a good place.

There isn’t enough room here for me to go into great detail, but I thank God that I found somewhere else, besides the Harmony At West Shore memory care unit, to put my mother recently. I have been a geriatric nurse for over 30 years, and I can honestly say this is the worst memory care unit I have ever seen. Gross understaffing for the LOC the residents require, little to no notification when my mother had a decline or change in status, most recently there was a 4 to 5 day delay in the Hospice doctors orders, meanwhile, my mother suffered because of it. Severe lack of communication between staff, and the families who are trusting this facility with their loved ones. Shame on the people in charge of this facility and running it now.

We did not even spend one night at this community and we felt that they are not honest people, we felt what we were told was fraud and it was nothing what we were expecting.

This was a horrible experience for the family and our loved one. They took money after my loved one moved out of the community. I had to bring food for my loved one. The food they provided was worse than high school lunch food. During the times I visited my loved one, I saw residents that weren't cared for properly. If you're on the independent side you are fine; however, the memory care and assisted living you should be concerned. None of the promises the community made to me about the care my loved one would receive wasn't followed through with during the time in memory care or assisted living.

We did not have a good experience at Harmony. I would tell other families - don't go there. They were understaffed and unprofessional.

We had a terrible experience at Harmony at West Ashley. My loved one was not being taken care of, and he was not being given his meds properly. It was a hole in the wall, and I would not recommend them to anybody.

I've been very disappointed with them. I put down a deposit and paid for a month's rent. At that time, I asked them what happens if my loved one can't come for any reason due to her health. They said we would get our money back. However, my loved one declined and has become completely disabled, to the point that she could not move in. And I have not gotten a penny back from them.

Basic care is not being done for any of these residents. Very few engaging activities are being done throughout the day. There is no communication with the building and nursing director. Staff is rude and need proper training. Laundry is rarely done and items are always missing. If you put your loved one here prepare to watch them turn into a zombie.

It was a very eye opening and disturbing experience - there was a serious lack of quality in care during our loved ones to stay to the point where the ended up in the hospital .

Awful place. We loved the building when we first saw it, but the other shoe dropped in the first month. Managment and nurses do not care at all. The woman in charge of the money is rude and short with you. We couldn't get anyone on the phone on the weekends. Overall care was less than acceptable. Laundry wasn't done. Items dissapeared constantly. The rooms were always a mess. They just want to push medications and not actually help the residents. Food was good most days and the therapy girls are nice. Some entertainment during the day, but nothing makes up for the mistreatment our family received.

We've had nothing but problems since the day we moved mom in here. She moved in at the peak of summer and the air conditioner in her apartment was broken. It took them seven weeks to get her a new one. The a/c did half work a few times during that time, but ended up flooding her bathroom because it was leaking. The executive director was less than helpful. I had to take the issue to the regional director and it was finally replaced. Come to find out, the a/c that they replaced it with came from another vacant apartment and it wasn't much better. It also leaked and flooded her bathroom. This facility is only 4 years old. The only thing they did during this time was bring her a 'spot cooler' for her bedroom. It barely kept the bedroom from getting too hot and did nothing for the rest of her apartment. The amenities that they offer in their brochure are not really offered (ie: newspaper delivery, set day/time for housekeeping). Those never happened. Her microwave also went out and maintenance was rude and argumentative when they came to fix it. Because of all of these issues, people were constantly in and out of her apartment and it was chaos. The food in the dining area is good and the cooks do a great job. But when she would opt for carry out, 9 times out of 10 her order was either completely wrong or was missing items. One day while visiting, I slipped and fell due to a crack on their sidewalk. They didn't even have a first aid kit available. Another big issue is that the smoke alarms go off often when residents use their microwaves. I was there one day when they went off and we evacuated outside. Mom and I, and several other residents, stood out in the heat for about 20 minutes. We never saw a single staff member while standing out there. Eventually we all went back inside. The next day, when I saw the director, I asked her about it. She looked at me and said "If you had attended orientation you would know that it's an issue here and we let everyone know not to evacuate unless we come into the hallways and tell them to." That was it. The hallways of the apartment areas are not kept clean. I noticed dead bugs in the corner that were there for 4 weeks, until I spoke up about them and they finally cleaned them up. Dining has changed from restaurant to buffet style due to staffing issues. It's a challenge for people using walkers and wheelchairs. There is a serious problem with staffing here, in all areas. Starting with leadership. I have friends who have loved one's in assisted living and I've heard horrible stories, it's impacting that side also. It seems like the residents are just hoarded around here. They're not treated nicely. I'm in the process of moving mom out. It kind of feels like buying a timeshare, you're not sure exactly what you're getting until you move in. I would not recommend them.
