Be VERY careful when coming to the VIctory Center if your parent is looking for simple assisted living and you are looking for a place that adjusts with your parents's needs as they progress. Our mom stayed here for quite some time and the CNA's are very nice. They work hard to deliver great care to your parents and of course that is very important! However, it's the management that you have to worry about. When we spoke to them before mom went to live there, she needed minimal care but that wasn't always going to be the case. They spoke of the Victory Center as the last place mom would have to move to. She could stay until the end. They could take care of her even when she was in a situation where she needed to be in a nursing home. They would progress with her. This is not the case. When they feel they are being cheated with the money, they (the management) will have zero regard for your parents. They could care less about them and will kick them out with no notice stating that they need too much care. You can sue them, but the cost to hire a lawyer is astronomical and they know that. It's very sad. Mom is in a great place now, but a difficult thing to go through. So, if you do go to Victory Center, know your parent will get great care from the staff, but get promises made by management in writing. Wish we had...

My mother lives at victory center I can attest that this place is terrible. They are understaffed and theCNAs do not know anything other than to call 911.The food is very bad ,small portion's ,soups are salty and watered down the kitchen always runs out of lemons,rye breads,coffee you get the idea.These people need more help than the staff can give. I would not recommend to anyone.

If I could rate the Concorde with less than one star, I would. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. We were shown a room in independent living with a great view and told that this would be my dad's room. Also... that furnishings included a television and that furnishings (because the deposit was so high) "belonged to the resident." The staff was friendly and caring -- BEFORE my father signed the lease. They sold us the moon and stars before we signed. After the lease? The room did NOT include a television. The room with a great view was NOT the room my father was assigned. Staff did not return calls. The room he got still had dentures from the prior resident on the bathroom sink and it was FILTHY. Niiice. The staff was absent, disengaged, didn't return calls and was overall unfriendly and overworked. Nothing in this place works. Elevators break constantly. Homeless veterans (too young to be in senior housing! WTF!) are living there and they smoke and drink in their rooms. Staff does nothing. My father was admitted to the hospital two weeks into his $1400/month lease and died three weeks into the lease. Considering we paid $2800+ for the deposit and because he had a special diet, he wasn't eating much (which contributed to his DEATH!) so we called "Dave" - the "nice" guy who was so friendly and "kind" to us when he admitted my dad. We asked if we could get even a small credit ($700). We didn't get a call back from Dave...we didn't get a freaking condolence note...we didn't get a "Thank you for choosing us" letter. We didn't get a "Screw you!" letter. We got A COPY OF THE LEASE in the mail and a scrawled note that the lease says they get all the money. We weren't questioning what was in the lease. My father lived there three weeks. We paid them two months' rent. When I suggested we keep the furniture instead, they said "Oh no! That's not YOURS!" as if they had amnesia. Bottom line...avoid this at all costs.
