We really like Brookdale Springs Mesa. They are short staffed with their caregivers. That would be the only negative. The only other thing is in the common areas some of the furniture needs updating. They have a have a really old TV and furniture. It just needs updating. Other than that it is good. The caregivers are awesome they are just stretched too thin.

The only thing I would say that needs improving at Brookdale Springs Mesa is the timeliness of any maintenance that needs to get done. That is the main complaint that we have. I love that they offer activities here. The staff take the residents out shopping and for dinners. Mom does seem really happy at this facility.

You get what you pay for so forget perfection. This is a modestly priced facility with a good value considering the amenities. For those in need of a secure and reasonable assisted living accommodations this is a good value. The administrative staff do a good job of managing the property and providing for the residents needs. For those who demand immediate resolution to on going repairs, gourmet food and immediate services this is not for you. Normal expectations and reasonable wait time to be served in the dining area occur. (Like most facilities of this kind). Weekends and after 5 pm, most problem may have to wait, with the exception of emergency maintenance services. On call personnel are available but being there and on call have two different meanings for residents and staff, in my opinion. The staff prides themselves on being friendly and as accommodating as possible and I would rate them good comparable to similar facilities. All businesses work within budgets but must manage expenditures commensurate with a profit margin. ( At least in the real world) I would surmise this facility is financial sound. Overall this facility has some unique and creative management personnel that will continue to improve residential favorability, stability and longevity with the current management staff.

When you first walk in the living and dining area is amazing. The rooms are nice up to date and clean. All the residents seem to be happy and so does my loved one. I haven't had her complain about anything and everything seem to be going good. The price is reasonable.

Lisa, the manager, is awesome! She has been really good at reaching out to me and to the residents, trying to get to know everyone and getting everyone to know each other. Some of the residents are not as social as mom would like though. One area I am not entirely happy with is the activities. They have drinks and music going, but not a lot of the sort of activities I think my mom would enjoy, plus it is hard for her to get to the activities. They seem to be geared more towards partying type people. Her exercise seems to be really good, but other than that their activities could really improve. It is really a pretty facility, and her room is really nice. Looking out the window it's beautiful. There is a lot to commend the place for, but a few areas for improvement as well.

We toured this community when we were looking into senior living options for our loved ones. This seemed like a nice enough place, the staff we spoke with were all very friendly. However, the community seemed to have some overall issues with cleanliness, which was a big turn-off.

When I was looking for a senior citizen community I was mainly looking for a place that had good security, lots of activities, friendliness from both the residents and staff. I can honestly say that after living at Camellia at Deerwood for almost 2 months , they have more than filled my expectations of good living. A very satisfied resident

My statement is that if a person is Independent living or lightly assisted living, most of the places like Camellia do a great job. If you assisted living, not quite ready for skilled nursing but a handful for assisted living, good luck! Where my mother is now handles this better than Camellia but I'd bet a nickel none are good at it. They all need to hire more people and none will do that.

I'm not sure I'd like living there. The rooms were very dark. The only room with light was the bedroom. It's not that clean either.

The director lied about people speaking English well enough to take moms food orders. When confronted he said it was a courtesy. Now I have to take all her food orders. When asked kitchen coordinator to email the weekly menu it only happened 1 week before I had to ask for it again and again. They are good at promising and not coming through.

Having lived at Point Pleasant in N Versailles for 2 years , I discovered a once likeable place, Recently the administrator shows lack of concern in hiring, allowing the once pleasant environment to change, where there is little effort done to allow the residents any input about their life. The cleanliness is just ok, as the building is over 16 yrs occupied . The meals are sometimes below standard . The marketing person does not regard any needs of the residents. I am relocating as the callousness to the residents is sad. The janitorial work is subpar as there is only one janitor for the whole building.

The apartment is fine, it's usually reasonably clean. The food appears to be acceptable to her. She does need fluids to be pushed because she is chronically dehydrated. She really just doesn't like water, but I took a case of bottled water to her room well over a month ago and most of it is still there. Mom rarely participates in activities. I know they encourage her to do so, so that's really on her not on them. My experience with the care staff has been very good. My mom is an incredibly difficult person and they continue to encourage her and work with her so for that, I'm thankful.

We've had a terrific experience with Camellia so far. Why? We had questions about procedures that were included in the resident handbook. However, we didn't receive one until several weeks after move-in. This would have been super beneficial from the start! Staff - Outstanding!! Food - Okay. Could be better & less institutionalized for the amount of money we're paying. Residences - Apartments are lovely & well-maintained. No complaints here. Care (including medication management) - staff has been excellent. [name removed] has been very responsive to pain management needs until we can obtain an outside pain management physician.

Yes the staff in memory care should be a little more attentive. You have some really good staff members than some should not be there.

Although the people at the facility were nice, I felt as though the place was too crowded. I was told ahead of time that the place was full and no vacancy was available so I did keep an open mind.

The staff is very friendly, but they seem yo gave a hard time keeping office staff. Whoever you need is either on vacation, out today, and no one but that specific person can help you. I have even had and continue having issues paying the monthly lease. We have had issues with the heat and air since we moved in. Also, the cable for the TV has issues. But tge have excellent food, extremely nice and do laundry very quickly. They also clean the rooms, which is nice. The doctor comes by weekly. The staff have even begun to recognize us. They do offer the rides to doctor apps in town, if you sign up fast enough, but out of town will be on your own.

Horrible food not very responsive to call lights some staff are nice hospice excellent. Seems like every where is the same

The staff, activities, food & cleanliness was outstanding. The apartment size was adequate. I didn't like the kitchen though. It didn't have a stove and oven- just a couple of burners. I hope these comments were helpful. If you want to know more, let me know.

1. 3 2. 5 3. 4 4. 3 - they missed some simple medical concerns regarding dad water retention. Was paying for help with bathing but in 3 weeks only 1 shower they helped with and other he did in his own 5. Was told some untruths with military financial help. Claimed he would qualify but fact is the first question that should be stated is if you have over [Amount Removed] saved you don't qualify. Also his points paid for were not entirely accurate. Just because he has dentures doesn't mean he needs help with them. 6. Food seemed to be good but never really talked with dad about taste. 7. He didn't really participate in any activities in his short time there but also didn't see anyone trying to get him involved either as they stated they would. 8. Don't feel the $[Amount Removed] extra payments for points was worth what they actually did for him. To me we should know what level of support they are recommending and what the breakdown is before being forced to sign the papers. They told you there were 5 levels but no breakdown on what they are. I didn't see this until after two weeks of being there and disagreed with a few points or support needed.

i'm happy here. Everybody is very nice and helpful and I don't think I'll be moving anytime soon. There are a lot of urine smells when I go by the rooms so I think that maybe that could be taken care of because it smells bad and the food is OK. When it comes to the cleaning, they don't use the dust mop under the beds or under the furniture and they don't dust around the furniture. They just do the floor. I mean the top of the furniture they do. They do the top of the refrigerator but when it comes to the furniture, they don't dust the top of the furniture. They don't have to pick up everything that's on the furniture like pictures or flowers or just go around them, but that's all I think that should be done.
