The food is not the best right now and is not right for people with diabetes. The kitchen is not clean enough. The communication is not good especially with covid updates. Some of the senior staff seem like they don't have time for us and ignore us. The supplies seem to be lower than normal. We are no longer getting snacks or bottled water and we only can eat on their schedule which is 3 times per day but only 2 times on Sunday. I would not recommend this community.

I would check multiple times before contracting with them. We went through a multiple visits before moving in. They promised several care items to care for our loved one and that didn't happen. On the third day of moving my loved one in, they called and told us to move my loved one out since they couldn't care for them. I feel this is horrible because they did an evaluation and said they could take care of our loved one. We paid for a renovation of the room for my loved one. The community is not willing to give us a refund of the renovation.

All staff pleasant, good location. Except for Senior Living most entrees, soups and sauces too salty. Need nutritionists to make changes. Laundry room unattended! Filthy garbage all over. Machines dirty dryer dirty, needs repair for months. Door has to be prop to a chair to keep closed. Wrapped and garbage are left scattered always. Trash and garbage chute overflowing often! Cockroaches cited in the laundry room, trash area, and even on the first floor.

#1- friendly staff, great location. #2- Meals overly salted, vegetables always overcooked, no nutrients. Separating salt from entrees would be a better suggestion. #3- Trash chute mostly overloaded and Spilled to the floor. Left that way for days. #4- Laundry room tissues not removed from garments. Thrown all over the floor and in tumbler.

My mom moved in during Covid and has only been there 1.5 months so I don't have a lot of experience in the facility. Nursing staff, director of health and wellness, sales, move-in coordinator, exec director all wonderful. Aides are hit or miss. Some need to be more professional and the wait time on the pendant is long. I don't have history on much else.

The Atrium community in the beginning was outstanding, when we first moved our loved one in we were extremely happy. We were praising this place, our loved one was really enjoying everything and getting more social. However, they have not changed management and it has gone downhill. Our loved one has said the quality of the food as changed, and they are in the processes of getting a new cook. It just seems like they have taken a lot of fun things away. They did have bed bugs for the longest time, but now our loved one says that the overall cleanliness is fine. We believe they have been short of staff, but they are still friendly. Sometimes our loved one doesn't get her medicine delivered right away. Our loved one really enjoys bingo, and she loves the guy who sings there. He puts on little concerts where they have a happy hour on Fridays, they have also taken her out for ice cream. They also have chair exercises for the residents. They are really doing the best they can during this time.

Our loved one was only there for a week, and we had told the staff members we needed no laundry services and they either didn't remember it, write it down or ignored it, because we bought our loved one a couple night clothing items and they came out horrible stained. Some other items when missing. We came from our of town and had an appointment set up on a Saturday in the afternoon to tour the community and no one was there. From our understanding the week she was there, we believe the staff was friendly towards her.

Comparatively, I have looked many places and I would say it looks great, but looks are deceiving, it is not what it appears to be. I have been very impressed with the caregivers. The caregivers are good and caring but stretched to the limited and they are understaffed. It is not a medical facility in any way, shape, or form. The important and specific communication from management to the families is non existent and ,in fact, they are unresponsive.

Food is awful and price of apts are high. Might want to move out.They need to do some landscaping on the grounds and the Palms look awful

Apartments seemed nice and clean. Residents didn't appear to be engaged with each other or into activities although our tour guide discussed all activities available. Parking for visitors seemed minimal. Two elevators next to each other in middle, could be challenging for residents with apartments at the end of the hall. Have a nice Sunday brunch.

Very poorly managed - poorly run.

Some disconnect between what marketing told me and what nursing told me. Ultimately, they can not meet my needs.

very nursing home feel. very small apartments. Directive License(this could be the forever home, no reason to move if hospice is needed). Talked with residents-good things to say. one level. care givers in site. [Name removed] was great. bottom of list due to size of apartment and nursing home feel.

My mother has been here and the care has been really great when she first moved in but sense a new company purchased the facility things have turn for the not so good with the food. They did replaced the carpet in the hallways and the furniture in the dining room, and also recently internet in all the rooms but, seasoned staff was let go in the kitchen and replaced with inexperience staff. Now the quality of the meals and service has taking a terrible turn for the worst and when delivered food service is requested, they lose orders and it results to hours of delays to receive their meals with no one held accountable. This adds to delays of taking medications that require taking with food. Its a real shame and [name removed] the director seems to have the attitude, if you don't like the food then go somewhere else. If the food quality issues was corrected my rating would be 5 stars. My advice is to walk around a facility and speak with the tenants when evaluating facilities for your love ones.

Did not like the rooms.

This location is a little further than we would prefer. The noise from the tollway would be a concern. We felt there were a lot more amenities at another Brookdale.

We have lived here for a few months now. Lots of changes in rules and dining and staff in a short time. I think some of the unhappy staff needed to go, so not sure that is a bad thing. Some of the staff are very friendly and sweet - other people seem upset that they are working here. All of the exercise activities are early in the day, so if you are more of an afternoon person, you are out of luck. The food service is extremely slow - don't seem to have enough staff. It seems like the management is trying to work on issues and it is tough finding the right kind of staff that enjoy working with elderly. I will update my review if/when improvements are noted. I wish we had looked at more properties before moving here. Seems like once they have the steep move-in fee and you overall your whole life, you are kind of stuck.

The staff and facility was very nice and high end. It was very new and I thought it was hard to gage what the facility would really be like when the clients came. I think the occupants for the rooms are the most important in any assessing whether it's a good fit for my mother, so it was a little hard to tell.

The facilities are excellent, and the amenities and activities provided are excellent. They have one big problem. They can't keep hired help, which results in very poor service in the dining room, and sometimes in maintenance. The food quality is variable but I judge it to be overall mediocre. Some times it is very good and sometimes very bad.

I looked at The Willows, but I was just not impressed. It was kind of dark there, the rooms were dreary, and the community smelled funky. I did not feel that the staff was receptive to us, and they didn't seem to be trying very hard to get us to move in.
