I've visited residents there and it appears to be a welcoming and clean facility. If you're thinking of placing someone there, I would ask about the LPN/ nursing assistant/other caregiver ratio and how often they physically check on residents. Someone I know fell, broke some bones and lay on the floor all night.

I toured at the Victory Center and while the community itself seemed nice, I felt that the move-in process was very long. I also did not appreciate that the staff seemed very unwilling to work with us. After they found out that we would be on Medicaid, they did not want to put up with the paperwork that would require.

I toured here at Brookstone Estates and thought the community itself looked fine. However, it's a smaller place than some of the other communities I had looked at and they always seem very short staffed.

I did not like the layout of the rooms. The rooms were separated by half walls which made every room look twice as small.

Flooring spots and trim looks worn and dated inside. Very clean though. Residents look happy.

We walked into Heritage Woods to set up a tour, and we arrived right as they were preparing the residents for an outing. As everyone was getting on the bus, and my husband and I were able to get a look at the community, I just got the impression that it wouldn't be a great fit for my loved one.

I toured this community and it seemed nice and clean. Staff was helpful with any questions I had. I think they had good programs there. It was an older building and just wasn't inviting to me.

My mother had recently had a short respite stay at this community and with only one issue things had went fine for her. The apartment they had given her was comfortable and had nice amenities available. She was able to enjoy a few of the activities they had for the residents and relax throughout her stay. The only issue we had run into was they had a hard time controlling her diet. My mother is diabetic and they did not stick to that meal plan very well that she was supposed to have.

Deluxe rooms were large, all rooms were very basic, almost sterile. Overall, a nice facility. No Medicaid exemption.

I would not recommend this community. If your independent it's ok. Once you require more care it is not there.

So far, my loved ones move to Cedar Grove has been okay. She is adjusting well but there are some things she is not happy about, with one being the food. They serve unhealthy meals. Also, the facility is not always maintained very clean.

My tour of this community went well, and everyone was kind. The community from what I saw looked nice. Everything was well maintained. The staff I met was friendly, and kind. It was a good experience, and everything went well.

On my tour I discovered they were not a fit because they didn't have a thickener for her drinks. She also needs help cutting up her meats. She would have to be able to do everything on her own, a more independent place and she did belong with the community.

First off, let me say that the CNA's are AMAZING! They take excellent care of the residents....no complaints there and in the end that is what was most important to our family. The dining room is terrible. The staff in there is rude, unhappy and ignore the residents. The food is mediocre...occasionally there will be something good, but it is mostly prepared/frozen meals...often times the food is served cold or overcooked. There have been multiple cases of bedbugs, but they do have a protocol to handle that...you can't really control what comes in when a new resident arrives - they bring it with them. There has also recently been an outbreak of a nasty virus that is sending many to area hospitals. I am concerned about how well they disinfect/clean. Administration is so-so. there has been a bit of turnover in the last few years. There are monthly meetings with the residents to hear their feedback and complaints but unfortunately they fall on deaf ears. Very little changes. As far as value for your money...well it's highway[Removed] - BUT it is one of the cheaper options and if your loved one is on or needs to go on Medicaid you don't have many options. My loved one has a 1-bedroom apartment which is a nice size. Large bedroom, large bathroom, lots of closets. Activities: I would not say they have a great assortment of activities and a good number of them seem to be religious in nature...that being said, there is no diversity in the religious activities they offer, so if you identify with that particular religion there's stuff to do, but if you are of other religions, then not so much.

This is a nice community, and my tour of it went well. The community was nice, and clean. Everything appeared to be well maintained. The staff was friendly, and kind. The experience was a good one, and everything went well.

I toured this community and I did not have the feeling that we were looking for. It was not what we wanted. The staff was nice and helpful. They offered good activities and a good variety of meals. We would recommend that families take a tour of this community for the care of a loved one.

I had a pretty nice tour of this community. Everything went well. The community looked nice. From what I saw everything appeared to be well-kept. The staff I met was friendly, and nice. Everyone was kind to my family and myself. It was a nice experience, but I found a community that suited my father needs better.

No 2 BR units available in Independent. One in assisted living with mini-kitchen. 30-year old facility shows it's wear. Don't want 3 meals/day

I did tour this community for care. The community was nice and the staff was able to answer the questions we had for the needs of my mom. It is clean and the variety of activities are good. I would suggest other families tour this community for the needs of there loved one. We wanted a location closer for frequent visitations.

It is still a work in progress for us here at this community. They are trying their best to care for my mother in law and her needs, but we are having some problems. She is currently in the assisted living portion of the community. They think she needs more memory care, and would like to move her to the part of the community. That is okay with us, but I don't she will be satisfied with just a room with a bed and bathroom. Overall It is a nice clean community with kind people.
