Communication from the staff to our family is good. They send out a monthly newsletter and are good with retuned calls. The community has kept us up to date and well imformed. I would recommend this community to others.

Our only complaint with the community is that they have recently changed ownership so there has been some confusion with lost paperwork. However, we do think that they take excellent care of their patients.

We chose Senior Star at West Park Place because of the reviews that it got. We looked at it and the appearance was awesome. They did say a couple things that residents would get daily that did not match up with they provided. The food is not very good, I think that they could use improvement in that area. Overall, my mom is happy here and we would recommend it.

Carriage Court is a very caring community. The building is a little dated, so if someone has a walker or wheelchair it could be difficult to get around. However, the community is extremely caring. The community adepts quickly to all the COVID regulations that change. They kept the families updated with all the changes.

Our mother lived here for two years. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the variety of events and entertainment the activity director lined up throughout the year. We felt confident that our mom was safe here. The Senior Care aides were very friendly and mostly attentive to our mom. Mom did complain about the food occasionally, but the serving staff were friendly. In two years she had three rent raises. These were the two negatives we encountered. Overall, I would recommend West Part Place to those who are looking for a caring, friendly, safe place for a loved one.

I think they did a good job of caring for my mom. They communicated well with us. The room sizes and layout of the community was really nice. My mom was in memory care. I felt it was very safe. I would have liked to see more activities for the residents.

The staff is wonderful. The food is lacking, the food and snacks are not what we were told they would be. It is a clean, bright and homey place. Activities are sparse. Staff tries their best. There is a lot of turn over which is hard on the residents. The staff has become my mom's family during the Covid-19. They have an outdoor walking area.

We had my mom at another community, but she was bored and would wander. We felt Cedar Grove was a better fit for her. My mom was very happy there. I loved the community so much that I recommended it to a family friend for her mother but we felt her mother was not well evaluated and had to move out to a higher level of care.

Nice place, nice people and close to us, but Mom doesn't need 3 provided meals a day, and transportation, all of which are part of the cost. Possibly an option for the future, but not now.

This facility was really pretty; 1 bedroom units were a bit smaller then I preferred but everything else was wonderful. Still need to go back for 2nd time to talk to Marketing and get more details.

Heritage Woods in Watseka is a Very Nice place. Relatively new, spacious and well lit hallways, large lobby (open to second floor) so soring ceiling makes it feel even bigger. All areas have been clean every time I visit Mom, no matter what day of the week or what time of day. Now the down side. Assisted living apt should have a reasonably useable kitchen. Small microwave and a 'college room" refrigerator makes it almost impossible to make a snack let alone a meal when Mom would rather not have whatever is on the limited menu that day. No stove/oven so no baking. There is a common kitchen with a stove/oven, so if you want to bake you can - as long as someone else isn't using it. Also they seem a little short staffed. Sunday afternoon there were only two CNAs on duty. All things considered, this is really a wonderful place for Mom. Everyone is friendly, housekeeping is done weekly, laundry is done twice a week! Here's the best way to judge a facility - the people who live there. Only one person was "crabby". Mom has been there almost four months and when I go every week I talk to residents. Except for the crab, they are all happy. Even when they talk about the son or daughter that lives too far away to visit more than once or twice a year, they say it with a smile and a giggle. Most residents know most of the other residents by name and were very open to welcoming Mom to any table at mealtime. So far Heritage Woods of Watseka is not only the best place we visited (by far), but is also is the best place for Mom.

Was a nice smaller place and everyone seemed happy. I was disappointed that I didn't get to see a studio or apt. There is a wait list to get in but I don't have even an estimate of time, [name removed] wouldn't even give any time frame. I understand they don't know for sure, but it would be nice to know if it could be 3 mos or 3 years.

The staff was all very nice. The building was well kept, clean, and smelled clean. The rooms seem very nice, but if I was to consider a place for my mom it would be a studio over the semi-private room. The semi-private didn't feel private at all and are just too small for two people. While we have not made a decision yet, this is a place we will keep at the top of the list.

Seems too large for my mom to navigate easily. Ancillary doors are open during day. Do have overnight front desk person 24/7.

I liked the memory care, especially the individual rooms and the general atmosphere. With only 4 residents when I visited it was not possible to get a good view of the care for residents.

Well organized, residents playing bingo, singing, bowling. Residents seemed very engaged & happy. Nurse seemed very knowledgeable. Was clean and attractive. Nice size rooms. Bring your own furniture. Bldg is located off the street behind other bldgs. Small pkg lot not much outside area.

Good impression. Staff greeted people by name. Large building including Assisted Living. Memory Care a long way from the front entrance. Nice area. Nice dining area. Very Clean. Bring own furniture. $3,000 move in fee. I recommend touring this facility.
