We really like this facility and would have chosen it if we hadn't found one comparable and closer to our home. The staff was very nice and [name removed] was awesome. Would not hesitate to go there if it were closer.

The care at Katella Senior is wonderful, the staff are very nice and the cleanliness of the community is very well kept. Our loved one really liked the meals in the beginning, now they are getting a little repetitive but they are still good. The activities are relatively limited, but they are a pet friendly community. A really lovely place, but it is close to a busy street and the parking is tricky.

Our family had a virtual tour first and the people we spoke with her very nice and friendly. The community looked very clean so we reserved an in person tour appointment. However when we pulled up to the community we noticed there was multiple floor levels and our loved one did not want anyone living above her.

I had an online-only virtual tour, and they did a good job. It looked very nice. I did not physically go there, but it looked clean with nice rooms. The location was nice. I had no negative feelings. It was all good. The people I talked to were very nice, friendly, and helpful.

I live here as a patient. Just would like to say what a great job [name removed] does at this facility. She is a very dedicated person and cares for everyone. She is a very hard working person and takes pride in her work.I belive she deserves a 5 star. The facility is great very clean and a great place to be at. I would recommend to friends and family

It's a very friendly community, even though I don't participate in a lot. There's a great camaraderie in the place if you want it. The staff are nice and joke around . They've been wonderful. They'll bend over backwards to help you out. All the residents I see say hello and are friendly. I'm kind of a loner myself. I think I'm pretty good company anyway. Sometimes I think maybe I'll go play bingo or horseshoes, or go to the swimming pool. But I generally just sit in my chair and fall asleep. There's a girl who comes in and cleans my apartment for me once a week, and she does a great job. The food needs a little improvement though. I'm on a low carb diet, and carbs are the bulk of what they fix. Management is having a meeting shortly for the residents to give their input on what they'd like to see as far as food goes. It's kind of a high price on a fixed income, but I get two meals a day, a 1-bedroom apartment, all utilities included, cleaning service, and laundry service. So I feel good about that at the end of the day.

The staff members are amazing, they would be a 10 plus. There are a lot of activities the residents can attend to, they have an open gym, bingo and board games. They have beginner Spanish classes, journalism classes, chair exercises. They also through birthday parties, holiday parties and welcoming parties for new residents. However, the food here is terrible, the meals are poor and very bland. I really like it here though, it is a very friendly place.

The employees at Shawnee PARC have loving hearts and care for every resident as a member of their own family.

Our experience with Brookdale at Willowbrook has been extremely positive. We have a loved one in both skilled nursing and assisted living. Both have been pleased with their healthcare, happy with the food, and impressed with the efficient, friendly staff. Check it out!

I would want others to know that they are very friendly and in constant communication with us which has been great. We are having a great experience here and would highly recommend to others looking.

We chose The Citadel because of the affordability for what you were able to get. The room sizes here are on the smaller side, he went from assisted living to an independent apartment and he chose a studio, but overall it is fine. He has had no complaints about the food. The staff members here are wonderful. they are always checking on him and letting us know if he needs anything. They are just very attentive and have become his family. I would recommend to others looking.

We chose The Citadel because the affordability and the convenience to our house. The apartment sizes here are adequate, a standard 1 bedroom. The best part about the community so far has been the convenience. They do shuttles to doctors appointments within a 10 mile radius on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I would recommend.

It is a good value for the money. It is very adequate. The room is nice. There are different floor plans to choose from. There are additional services to choose from as well

This is a gorgeous but mellow place with caring staff members. I had surgery and my needs were complex and the nursing team was able to make me feel safe and their expertise to hospital like procedures kept me worry free. I was discharged home with their outpatient therapy. Their therapy is top notch. The best therapy team you'll find anywhere. The therapy gym is clean. I toured upstairs too before being discharged. I toured a couple of model rooms and they are gorgeous. Some bigger than others but beautiful. Food is provided at the assisted living. It was very impressive to see that the therapy team work with the residents in the assisted living patients too. The breakdown was good and I knew when my wound doctor came and the infectious disease, they had pain management doctor coming in too. Therapy used dry needling to ease my pain. As i said my case was complex, they had a machine in therapy that helped me deal with incontinence. Thank you health care of Plano for a job well done

The best in Plano. Clean, no smell, therapy team is great. I do outpatient therapy here and I love it. They have alternative approach to pain management during therapy sessions.

Katella Senior Living has wonderful, caring staff. They are also very responsive and easy to communicate with should an issue arise. I would definitely recommend this facility.

In January 2020 we reluctantly needed to place my 92-year-old mother in assisted living and went on the search for the best place. We interviewed many places and ended up feeling very comfortable with Katella Senior Living. What drew us to Katella was they had about 60 residents yet seemed like they were well connected with the needs of each person. They not only attended to the basic needs but also to the social needs of the group by having exercise class as well as one on one care. They not only seemed to care about my mom’s needs but also what she wanted and did their best to make her feel comfortable in her new living environment. I’m convinced that character is not shown in good times but in challenging times and that is where I believe Katella excels. Starting in March the world would change and we entered into a very unsettling time. The challenge we faced was how would my mom be cared for in this pandemic. Katella took this challenge and made the hard choices to protect our loved one and we couldn’t be more impressed with how they approached a very challenging time. Of course, it came with great sacrifice as we could not visit in person but honestly, that is a small price to pay for her safety. During the last six months they have kept us updated on the COVID situation and to this point have had only one resident infected and have done a great job on keeping all the residents as safe as they can. All I can say is in this unsettling time we are extremely grateful in the great care my mother has received and continue to receives at Katella and couldn’t recommend this place higher.

Cannot thank Management and the staff on how they handled the COVID situation. They addressed the issue with the residents and family very early on. While I was concerned with hearing other assisted living communities being evacuated, I felt my mom was in a good place. Prior to the pandemic, this has been the best assisted living community my mom has lived at. She seems to be very happy. The entire staff has been very helpful and genuinely care about their residents and residents’ families.
