The staff at Katella Senior Living is amazing. They have provided comfort to my Mom and peace of mind for our family.

Katella Senior Living has wonderful, caring staff. They are also very responsive and easy to communicate with should an issue arise. I would definitely recommend this facility.

In January 2020 we reluctantly needed to place my 92-year-old mother in assisted living and went on the search for the best place. We interviewed many places and ended up feeling very comfortable with Katella Senior Living. What drew us to Katella was they had about 60 residents yet seemed like they were well connected with the needs of each person. They not only attended to the basic needs but also to the social needs of the group by having exercise class as well as one on one care. They not only seemed to care about my mom’s needs but also what she wanted and did their best to make her feel comfortable in her new living environment. I’m convinced that character is not shown in good times but in challenging times and that is where I believe Katella excels. Starting in March the world would change and we entered into a very unsettling time. The challenge we faced was how would my mom be cared for in this pandemic. Katella took this challenge and made the hard choices to protect our loved one and we couldn’t be more impressed with how they approached a very challenging time. Of course, it came with great sacrifice as we could not visit in person but honestly, that is a small price to pay for her safety. During the last six months they have kept us updated on the COVID situation and to this point have had only one resident infected and have done a great job on keeping all the residents as safe as they can. All I can say is in this unsettling time we are extremely grateful in the great care my mother has received and continue to receives at Katella and couldn’t recommend this place higher.

Cannot thank Management and the staff on how they handled the COVID situation. They addressed the issue with the residents and family very early on. While I was concerned with hearing other assisted living communities being evacuated, I felt my mom was in a good place. Prior to the pandemic, this has been the best assisted living community my mom has lived at. She seems to be very happy. The entire staff has been very helpful and genuinely care about their residents and residents’ families.

My Mom has been at Katella for 2 years and I can say that the staff, both pre and post Covid has been terrific. They follow up closely to give out her medications, drive her to doctor and dental appointments, meals are good and promptly served, rooms are kept clean and tidy and above all, the management and staff is always courteous and understanding. I highly recommend this Senior Living Community.

Our experience with the sales person & walk through was exceptional. They answered all questions & concerns that we had.My mom has been there almost 2 years & all staff nurses,caregivers,housekeeping ,maintenance people ([name removed]) & kitchen employees have been exceptional.Props to [name removed] Activities Director & [names removed] nurses who my mom loves dearly.Another plus to this facility is the doctors & hospital are one block away which makes it nice.I would highly recommend Katella Senior Living to any family that loves there family member dearly. ????

My Mother moved into Katella Senior Living November 2019. She loved the friendly staff, activities and not having to cook, clean, or do her own wash! She liked that it is “not too fancy”. Mom suffered from mild dementia. Once Covid lockdown began in March 2020 the staff really stepped up with meals in rooms, 1:1 activities, masked outdoor walks and wellness checks. My Mom began to have more problems with her dementia, delusions and paranoia. I mention that because the staff at Katella has been so wonderful, responsive and caring. The staff not only takes care of her physically, but also mentally and emotionally. My mom’s neurologist is also very impressed with the care the staff, especially nursing staff, is giving. The neurologist called the nurses and was really impressed how well the nurses knew my mom right away, knew what her issues are, and how they were helping mom (and me) manage these issues. We have been having “window visits” and looking forward to face to face garden visits soon. We looked at quite a few places and I have worked in Assisted Living settings. Katella Senior Living is a great place, very homey and caring. The pricing is very reasonable.

I am so happy I decided on Katella for my mom, [name removed]. The service, cleanliness, outstanding care and dedication of all the employees and staff is over the top. I love the constant communication I receive on everything they are doing during this coronavirues pandemic. They really are on top of keeping up with testing employees and all the people living there and always notifying me of all that they are doing plus all the precautions with cleanliness, wearing of masks and social distancing at the same time keeping everyone there busy with the different activities. Thank you.

They do very well. The staff is incredible and the food is first class. The staff is absolutely saints, I am telling you. I have seen them do very difficult things, and they do with a smile.

It’s a good place, the staff are great and were very helpful getting me into my new home! They made the transition into the community much easier than I expected. I have no complaints at all!

They do a very good job and I keep choosing them. They are the best and most caring.

So far they've been doing really well. They got my loved one up and walking, which took less time than I thought it would! They had me on a phone call yesterday, with the therapist and social worker, and they gave me updates, I really appreciated that.

My wife did well with their therapy services. She's made enough progress with them that she will be coming home soon. Everybody is really nice there and has been throughout her stay. She is happy to be there. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

The staff is very attentive toward my loved one and they are doing a good job. I appreciate what they do.

Overall, it was pretty good! I'm pretty happy with the place! The exercise was good.

Everything was clean, helpful and happy to be there! Everyone was friendly and positive which helps immensely! The nurses went above and beyond making sure my loved one got what she needed. When she asked for something it was there in minutes!

The therapy has been very good. The staff have been there and have helped my loved one do what needs to be done. They are patient and understanding. A couple of the staff have gone above and beyond with my dad. It's clean. The meals for him, go up and down. He is a little on the picky side.

Everything is good! The staff is so friendly and helpful! The nurses are good.
