This really is a great place for my mom. Things happened very abrubtly in her situation and Provident helped us tremendously in our time of need. Staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. Facility is large yet private, very open and clean. Highly recommended

It's a very nice facility and the staff is nice and helpful. It's close to home.

There has been quite a turnover of staff but that can be expected from the sale of the facility right before our move. And in the process there has been updating and remodeling of the facility. They are still in the process and the main areas are nice. Apartment size is bigger than other studios. The apartments themselves have not been updated this time yet. Amenities are getting better. Pool, family room, they added a new area in the dinning room for happy hour/gatherings.

My loved one has been a resident of Provident Assisted Living for over a year. [Name Removed], the director, works very hard to make sure resident’s needs are met and that the facility is run “by the book”. While there is some turnover, most of the staff have worked there together since before we moved in and are like extended family. Kat, the activities director, goes above and beyond to plan special events for residents in addition to regular weekly games and crafts. The smaller size, slower pace and quiet surroundings suit my loved one’s and our family’s needs very well. Our overall experience has been good. I like the idea of someone always being there to watch them 24/7. also, this place is not that big and I like that. They have great family get together parties almost every month, which is a nice. I picked this community because it was close to where I live. The other communities I looked at were more expensive and they did offer some more stuff like exercise rooms, etc. but this is a good place for the money.

I like the floor plan of my apartment, my pets like it here (dog and cat). There's room for improvement in some areas, but there is an effective renter's association to facilitate recommendations. I like the location in relation to the VA hospital.

We find the Executive Director and the Social Director excellent in engaging with the residents. The housekeeping could be better. Mom has a little throw rug that hasn't ever been cleaned (I used a vacuum on it that was left outside of her apartment once). The laundry isn't done as regularly as may be needed. I've had to point out dirty clothes that Mom has tucked here and there. All in all, we are pleased. We would recommend New Haven to others.

What our family likes the most about the New Haven Assisted Living community is the smallness of it as well as the layout. We really like the staff members that work there as well as the overall care that is provided for the residents. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families

I loved that they cooked the meals and cookies right there in the middle of the home where everyone could see and smell. It never smelled like a nursing home. I would recommend to others.

My loved one is currently a resident at New Forest Haven in Independent Living and overall the experience has been very good for her so far. The staff and the residents are all so very nice and helpful. The move in process was easy. They do need more consistency with the housekeeping. Overall, I would recommend New Forest Haven to others. My mom's apartment is very nice.

During the first months. However, recently the facility was purchased by new. Company and residents report that staff have resigned and food services have declined. Lack of trained staff and supplies have caused problems with transportation and quality of meals. Patients report being served fast food type meals in boxed containers. Hopefully these problems can be resolved and residents won't have to move out.

New Forest Have is a great place to live, and I would recommend it to other families for assisted living. The staff is very helpful and accommodating.

The community is convenient for our family to see our loved one on a regular basis, and we didn't have to drive far. My loved one seems happy here. The staff are attentive to our loved one's care. The care of my loved one is being watched closely and this makes the family happy. The community works well with hospice. The staff are responsive to the family's requests for our loved one. There are no more than 11 residents in the community currently; however, they are able to accommodate 14 residents. Most of the time the community is a little over half capacity. Some of the care provided by the community: medication management, bathing, hygiene, and dressing assistance.

Easy to communicate, price and accommodations fit well with family price range and easy move in. I also feel like my dad is safe. We picked this community, because the neighborhood was better, cost fit my fathers needs, staff was super helpful.

The staff was nice and New Forest Haven was a nice community. The price was good. We felt the drive was too far from family and medical needs for our loved one.

Everything good they could do something about the meals and they need to hire more care takers. We picked this community, because It's smaller than the other places, friendly staff and I like how easy it is to get to from my house.

I worked with residents and patients there. The food is amazing. [name removed] the chef is always asking how to better improve the menue. The residents are always happy and busy. I would recommend the community.

Overall I think New Haven of Bastrop is doing a pretty good job. They are short handed just like everyone else right now, but aside from that I think everyone is doing the best that they can do. I would recommend this facility to others.

I toured this community and it was ok. The dining area was a good size, very spacious. The resident rooms were kind of small. What we didn't like was the restroom situation. They didn't have restrooms with each room, restrooms were shared. They had 2 or 3 common restrooms for about 16 residents. This wasn't ideal for us and our loved one's needs.

Our family had an in person tour and facility wise it was good but you could tell the staff were stressed and it just did not have that same comfortable safe feeling we were looking for
