New Forest Have is a great place to live, and I would recommend it to other families for assisted living. The staff is very helpful and accommodating.

The community is convenient for our family to see our loved one on a regular basis, and we didn't have to drive far. My loved one seems happy here. The staff are attentive to our loved one's care. The care of my loved one is being watched closely and this makes the family happy. The community works well with hospice. The staff are responsive to the family's requests for our loved one. There are no more than 11 residents in the community currently; however, they are able to accommodate 14 residents. Most of the time the community is a little over half capacity. Some of the care provided by the community: medication management, bathing, hygiene, and dressing assistance.

Easy to communicate, price and accommodations fit well with family price range and easy move in. I also feel like my dad is safe. We picked this community, because the neighborhood was better, cost fit my fathers needs, staff was super helpful.

The staff was nice and New Forest Haven was a nice community. The price was good. We felt the drive was too far from family and medical needs for our loved one.

I worked with residents and patients there. The food is amazing. [name removed] the chef is always asking how to better improve the menue. The residents are always happy and busy. I would recommend the community.

Overall I think New Haven of Bastrop is doing a pretty good job. They are short handed just like everyone else right now, but aside from that I think everyone is doing the best that they can do. I would recommend this facility to others.

I toured this community and it was ok. The dining area was a good size, very spacious. The resident rooms were kind of small. What we didn't like was the restroom situation. They didn't have restrooms with each room, restrooms were shared. They had 2 or 3 common restrooms for about 16 residents. This wasn't ideal for us and our loved one's needs.

I would recommend you checking out the community to see if it would be the right fit for your loved one. This is a nice and clean community. The community didn't have enough qualified staff to provide individualized care for my loved one. There is no nurse on staff in the building each day, and this was a big concern for me for the care of my loved one. The residents had their own rooms in the community.

I toured New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care of Tomball; the gentleman who showed us tour was very informational and friendly, he's the new manager. I felt that there wasn't much help on the floor, he did talk about hiring more staff. We chose another community because the rooms were too small for both of my parents. It might have been good for one person, but for two people it was a little small.

Nice community, it was too big and didn't have a secure courtyard for the residents.

As with any care facility, family members are an important part of the care team. I believe New Haven staff strive to offer the best care and they do seem to listen to family concerns. There was a bit of disorganization with mom's care in the beginning and it was important that knowledgeable family was on board to clarify needs. The environment is upbeat and happy.

The people are super nice and I really enjoyed the bible studies. However when it came to the meals they are heavily loaded with carbs and always have the same vegetable's. They could also have better activities - they definitely are catered more towards an older crowd.

It's a nice place. They got a new chef, although they didn't replace the sous chef. So the sides aren't the best, but my parents tell me the entrees are delicious. Housekeeping tends to knock on the metal doors with their keys, so see about getting a doorbell if you're loved one is hard of hearing. Also double check some things before you move in, but that would be true of any place. For the most part, the staff have been very good. My loved one has had some falls, and they were very quick to call the lift services to get her back up and make sure she was okay. They provide assistance to the dining room if needed. And housekeeping seems to be very nice.

This is a great community for your loved one and it feels like home. As soon as I got here everyone made me feel like I was at home. It has been an all around positive living experience living here. I have a really nice home here.

Due to the shortage of workers some of the things are lacking at the community but with the correct staffing there could be changes and it used to be a priority. Delicious meals and I eat there a lot. I notice that when I do eat they always have extra meals prepared just to share. You become a part of their family, they treat you like you belong.

Overall it was a pleasant environment. The staff was extremely friendly. My loved one said the food was just okay. But she really liked the activities and how they kept the residents busy with Bingo and stuff like that. I would have liked for them to have some additional care features, like bed sensors that prompt them to check on residents when they get up in the night.

we did a virtual tour with this community and it was good. The staff was very friendly and they answered all our questions. Pricing was higher than other places we looked at.

We toured NewForest Estates and it was not handicap accessible which is what we needed. Also, the apartments were smaller and our furniture would not have fit in them.

Mom’s favorite so far, like big closet, liked the happy hour every other Friday;
