Horrible place!!! Worse decision I made was to move my father in there. The company couldn't careless about the residents that live there. Don't rely on staff as management is different every 4 months. Do not put your loved ones here. I moved my father out immediately, care was awful!!!

I have removed my father from the Atrium as this is not a safe place for a loved one and I would never allow any of my family to go there nor recommed this place for any reason. They had requested that we not visit for the first few days to let my dad settle in and even when I called every day they gave me glowing reports that were not actually being done. They are tiring patients down at night, there is no head of nursing and there is a lack of staffing. My dad was there 5 weeks and I have removed him for his own safety. They did not check his blood sugar for a month and they had doctor's orders for daily blood sugar testing, he went unbathed for days on end. The Atium even gave my father medication to calm him down without doctor's orders. They later said that they had gotten orders from his doctor. His room smelled of urine, there was no shower head in his shower so how where they bathing him. I was horrified when I did finally go and visit my father and removed him immediatley

My mother has been at Symphony Manor for 2.5 years. I had major concerns about my mother being neglected and spent 8 months trying to get [Removed] (Executive Director) to make improvements. It eventually became clear that she had no interest in making any changes so I went to the managing company, Milestone, who also did nothing. You will not see the issues when you do your tours but they are very apparent once you start spending time there. Constantly understaffed on weekends to the point where it would take hours for residents to get basic care. Night staff who are supposed to check every 2 hours would not check on my mom over the course of an entire night. It is shameful that [Removed] continues to allow the neglect to continue, putting all residents health and lives at risk. Be wary of fake 5 star reviews which all popped up once I started complaining to Milestone.

1 star rating. Administrative team not responsive or cooperative with families, too much turnover, lack of consistent caregivers, lack of or inconsistent communication between administration and front line workers. During recent bedbug outbreak on site administrator was fired or quit and the replacement administrator was ill equipped to deal with residents, concerned family members or staff. Front line staff competent but inadequate direction from administration. Current director is dismissive, lacking in any level of emotion or empathy, does not return calls in a reasonable manner. Patients left in contaminated rooms for more than six days. Do not recommend.

My mother-in law has been a resident since 2008. She lived there in her own apt. She is now 97. While looking for assisted living alternatives & with some assets still left in the bank. We were concerned about whether if once her assets ran out, she could stay there & once reliant on Medicaid, that there would be a room available for her. We were told by the social worker to take the available room immediately while she still had a couple of months worth of rent payments left & that Medicaid would kick-in after that & she would be set.........This is not the case & we were told by the Director that we would have to make other arrangements for her once her funds ran out...... Stay tuned. State & Federal agencies are being contacted by the facility to see what their final determination will be.

Over 90 days since my mother passed away and we turned in the keys. We even made the monthly payment (she was only there for three days that month) while she was in hospice care in the hope she would recover and be able to go back. Still waiting for a refund which according to contract was supposed to be after 15 days. Total incompetence with a lot of excuses.

We had a horrible experience here. Call bells go unanswered for 90 minutes regularly. Residents call out for help and don't receive any. If you go out looking for someone to help, you'll often find the halls empty. Don't be fooled by the pretty building. What matters is the staff, and here, they are all but absent.

They should be shut down! The facility is a horror. My loved one was ignored and neglected. They sent her to the hospital and forgot to pick her up and didn't save her room for her. After the first day they sent her to the hospital with for a UTI because she was confused!! They left her sitting undressed on her bed and nobody could find her. They wouldn't respond to me. They didn't keep her walker nearby, and the call button was too far away for someone who couldn't walk. We came to find out the button was broken anyway. They refused to give me her records. I had to pull her out of there, she had to have private care the whole time she was there and I was even paying extra for a higher level of care. I was afraid she would die there. The residents have to ask for something to drink at meals or they get nothing, they had a chain lock on the refrigerator. They didn't bathe her, and would let her sit in her own fecal matter. Just an awful place!!!
