Beautiful facility. Good to see diversity among residents and good to see them actively engaged and having a good time. The big push is for a shared room to help keep the costs down. This is not appealing for my situation. Basic prices are raised by exorbitant add-ons. With a minimum add-on of $800/ mo., the cost of a shared room is only $20 cheaper than a studio at the Atrium. And these are supposedly special offers that must be decided on quickly or they disappear.

My tour of this community went well. The staff I came across were friendly, and nice. From what I saw the community appeared to be well-kept. It was a pleasant experience overall. I do find another community that suited our needs better, but everything went well during my tour of this facility.

There were a few things that have concerned me since my friend moved into Brookdale Pocasset Bay.One day she wasn't feeling well. She was in her room all day and no one did a "wellness" check on her. I feel like they should be more attentive if a patient is ill. There was another thing, the one of the housekeepers broke a very valuable trinket.She didn't report but I think she should have. Other than that it's a very nice place. I've eaten lunch with her a few times and the food is very good. She liked that the community is in a familiar area and they gave her a special to move in.

They couldn't be more helpful when trying to get someone in-after that they are detached. Most nurses and aides are kind and helpful-food is horrible. top management here is horrible.

This is a very nice community and the staff has been helpful as much as they can. They do offer my parents activities they just have not started to participate yet. I like the food, but not sure how my parents feel.

Our experience has been a rocky start. Our mother has aniety issues. After she was placed we were told that in cases like her they usually recommend starting medications for aniety prior to placement. So she was removed from home for escaping and trying to break windows. She is now receiving treatment for her aniety and hopefully can return soon and be happier. We also have moved her from thr 300 unit (where the residents and some staff sleep and watch movies most of the time) to the 400 unit. The residents there and more active physically and mentally. The staff in 400 seem to engage the residents more. Fingers crossed that this time its the perfect fit.

They are terrible with their communication, within the management. I did not receive an invoice for the month of October until the last week of the month. No follow through either, but the food is good though.

The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Everyone was very nice. If you're looking for assisted living it's a nice small place. The memory floor however is understaffed and the residents spend the day sitting in a TV room. My dad got pressure sores from sitting in the same position every day and ended up in the hospital. He's no longer at Woodholme Gardens.

They were only here for about a week before they had to go to the hospital and then when they were re evaluated Pacasset said they couldn't take them anymore. It doesn't have fireproof walls, it is less expensive than some other ones, but they do not have the rehab so if they need to go to the hospital and can't come back to Pocasset you have to scuttle around looking for a nursing home at the last minute because they won't take you.

We talked to them on the phone, they're family owned and people speak very highly of them, but they rooms were too small. The other downside is their staff to resident ratio was right at the edge. I even asked the girl who gave us the tour "What happens when someone calls in sick" and she said that they try to get someone in to cover but I said that if someone's out and you can't get someone in then you don't even meet the minimum state standard of staff to residents and she had to admit that that would be the case.

They're going great, we're in good shape and we're going to do another short stay over labor day.

Greenwich Bay was nice with updated furnishings and carpet, but we didn't like the small rooms, lack of a real kitchenette, and that it was on such a busy street. I worry about bringing my children to visit when the patio area is facing and close to Post Road.

Older decorating theme. Not as many open common areas. Smaller studio, smaller bath - just not as nice as Atria and further away and poor access on/off Rt. 114 - dangerous getting in and out.

This one is not really set up for couples unless they will be separated by type of care or they put a door between two rooms. Has memory care unit; Alcove room for 2 people Has "wellaware" motion detector system to help with noticing major changes.

Great facility, friendly staff, committed management. Could improve incontinence management with the time it takes to get to the patient for changes. Overall, great senior living home.

Our mother has been at SSQ for a while. The hands on staff are generally very caring and loving. The communication between the administration and the resident's family is poor and worrisome. The communication from administration to line staff is poor, often resulting in the staff being unaware of residents issues. The staff that feels this as a "calling" are great but they are not trained , under staffed (although meets the state guidelines). The excellent staff are not rewarded and have frequently left. The resident's families formed a family council which has been the best source of information. The council has had multiple requests to meet with the owners and have been refused. The food is inconsistent and seems to reflect budget issues. the activities have been very poor. One of the greatest strength's is that the family members visit frequently and often live in the area. This place has great potential but has been very disappointing.

The attendants were nice enough, but they would mostly just put my dad in a chair and leave him be. When he walked and got exercise, he did much better and retained more memories, but that seemed to only happen when I would visit every other week. I'm not sure he was eating right either. The room was almost always dirty. The floor was actually slick at one point, which, I'm sure, caused some of his falls. The physical therapist said something to me after I already talked to the staff. A memory care unit needs to be set up as an institutional area, also the residents can't hurt themselves or others. My father would pull the AC intake off the wall, so they pushed his bed against it.
