We visited a few different places. My dad liked the size of the rooms at Brentwood St Petersburg, it was a clean facility, it was not too big not too small, and he liked the people he met. We had dinner here during our visit and he also liked the food. The best part about the community so far would be the staff members, they have done their best since the pandemic and they have been very good at communicating. We are able to make outside appointments now and visit for half an hour with our loved ones. I would recommend the facility.

I think others should know when looking into the community that we have been trying to get the director to call us for weeks and she has not called back, so they are not good with communication. They did notify us during covid, but it is difficult to get a hold of people inside the facility. They had said they would get her involved in activities in the beginning, they did not stick to what they said. I would not recommend.

Now that it’s a month since my husband, the Honorable [name removed] ( RET.) passed away. I want to let people know that in the four yrs. he was a resident at Symphony Square, he was well taken care of. I never worried he was losing weight, he kept busy , because there was always something to do. I knew He had a lot of serious health problems, but [name removed] and her staff were there for him. The many times they sent him to the hospital , he always returned to Sympony Sq. The staff were attentive and pleasant to him. I was there almost every day , and found the facility clean and smelled from a nice fragrance Go visit symphony Sq. And see for yourself. Thank you all for all you did for us. P.S. every holiday so great.

We really liked the layout of this community, it has a very homey feeling to it. It's more consolidated which we also really liked. The location is very nice, its centrally located and very accessible. Our loved ones room was right across the dining hall which we thought was nice. Her room overlooked a park area with nice trees. Our loved one never really complained about the food, so overall it was good. The activities looked great, our loved one just didn't always participate in them, but the staff did their best to keep everyone active. The food was good, they never really complained about it. We signed up for a certain level of care, like to have out loved one bathed. Sometimes she would refuse and we would still be charged for that service. We would have to pay for services we weren't getting at times. We didn't think it was deliberate, but we felt the departments at this community just needed to interact more with each other and understand their roles.

I have recommended them to a neighbor. The food was excellent. The room size and layout of the community was good. The staff was half and half, some were nice as could be and others were just punching the clock. I was very satisfied with Symphony. My husband was there from November to April, I brought him home and he passed. I never got a sympathy card or call, which hurt my feelings.

Overall, they do a great job keeping the community clean. We think their normal schedule of cleaning the individual resident rooms could be a little more frequent. For the most part, the staff is friendly. The staff was great about having certain scheduled weekly activities like singing, and dancing, and we were able to coordinate a driver to take our father off-community for shopping drips. We do think they could have a little more diversity in terms of what they offer as activities since the residents are all at different cognitive levels. We do think Symphony Square is a relatively good value considering the other communities in the region. We also think the dinning manager is particularly attentive to where they seat the different residents and the chef does make an effort to accommodate for nutritional needs. We do think, however, some more accommodations could be helpful for those with stricter dietary needs.

I live out of state so communication is a big thing for me. I feel that Brentwood St Petersburg does a good job with communication. My mom started out in their Memory Care but has now moved to Assisted Living which I really feel is the right place for her.

They are under a bit of construction which I like which means that my parents will be going into somewhat of a new place. The apartments are not being worked on though which makes me a bit hesitant as they seem a bit dark and worn, however the view I was shown from the one that is at the top of the budget had a gorgeous view. The manager [name removed] was quite pleasant, the tenants were all excited as channel 12 was arriving soon. My family enjoyed the scones they gave me. I think it may possibly be a fit for my parents.

Staff was friendly and professional. They didn't have my appointment on their schedule and so main person that handles tour was not there. Thankfully they were able to accommodate us for a tour. Rooms seem smaller that I would like but overall the facilities were clean and cheerful.

Beautiful facility two years old. Loved the layout of the main level with large hanging signs stating "DINING ROOM" or "SALON" etc to help the residents easily find their way. The residents were up walking around engaged well groomed. However, for our mother she would be lost in a second from a room on the second or third floor, taking an elevator and finding the dining room. Although lovely just not a good fit for her.

Bright, friendly, clean, no stink, keeps mom engaged not left in room, outings, good food, family dinners invites....only some difficult to keep her stuff to her own room

My mom was not happy about the move into assisted living, as she was accustomed to 1:1 care for 2, 2 hour shifts per day. However, her medical circumstances required her to receive more care and access to 24 hour assistance. The staff at Brentwood are very friendly and seem to have the patients' needs at heart. That being said, it is somewhat difficult for them to maintain a schedule with regards to providing scheduled care. My mom is well cared for and eventually gets her care provided, although not as quickly as she would like. Overall, it is an excellent value for what they provide when compared to independent living with supplemental care.

The Activity Director of Memory care has left the Landing. The staff are filling the void, hopefully there will be a new one soon. The value will be better when there is a new activity director. The facility is new & clean. Everyone is friendly. A new facility has challenges of getting good staffing, but this is improving. Overall, a great place. Several family members are there routinely visiting, so it is like a big family.

On the whole, I am quite pleased with The Atrium, although I did have some problems adjusting to very little intellectual stimulation. I have worked to find that on my own because otherwise it's great.

The director was very knowledgeable and forthright about all aspects of the community. The studio rooms are a nice size and she showed us the floor plan that will work best for someone with mobility issues. The place was very clean and organized and the staff were all friendly. The admissions process seems much easier than the other place we toured. It’s a large community and the layout of the building was a little bit strange with the activity room on the 2nd floor but it was appealing in that they have a bishop who comes in and does Catholic mass and communion every week. The pricing structure is rather obnoxious with a ton of extra fees, 6 levels of care, etc. The incontinence package is ridiculously expensive just for the purchase of the products not for the actual toileting assistance. If my mother-in-law moves here I will obviously have to be more involved in managing her personal care products and taking her to doctors appointments in order to keep costs under control.

I loved how happy and friendly the residents were during my tour. There is a varied menu and a plethora of actives. It’s close enough to the beach as well as the city to satisfy both desires. However, I wasn’t crazy about the location.

People seemed friendly. Room sizes were good. Lots of community space. Good parking for guests. 2nd choice so far.

Loved the atmosphere and the friendliness. The appearance and cleanliness met expectations. Within his price range.

They were very informative and kind.

I really like that this facility had an assisted living side and a dementia unit. I decided not to bring my Husband here because the dementia unit was full and the staff would have to bring my Husband from the assisted living side to the dementia unit every day. I felt like this community was more lively than other places and there were a lot of activities going on. All of the staff members were visible and attentive. They were really sensitive to the residents' conditions.
