It just seemed to have everything that we were hoping to get for my mother. She has fallen in love with the place. She thinks she works there its not that far away. I think it’s a reasonable place and I think she is very happy there and that’s all I care about her being happy and well taken care. She just seems so happy there that she is not as stubborn as she used to be. We are constantly calling and keeping an open line of communication. Just liked it right away and the manager here was upfront with us. He really is dedicated and told us it would be hard at first but she will end up loving it. We are glad we stuck it out because now she does love.

I chose the Emeritus at Perinton Park Manor for several reasons, first is the cleanliness, second is they could push a wheelchair, and lastly because of the recommendation of a visiting nurse who saw our other options and thought Emeritus was the best. Mom felt at home here and she picked it as her first choice. It is a lot better than the four other places we toured. The state of New York has restrictions on what properties can push residents in wheelchairs. The Emeritus is certified by the state to push wheelchairs which was important to us. It's great, we did a lot of looking over six weeks and mom is real happy here, she tells us she likes it here a lot. We are able to visit her everyday, so that might have something to do with it.

The property is conveniently located to family members. We liked our visit and my father-in-law has no complaints.

Unfortunately dad was only there for 2 weeks and had a bad fall and is now living with me. I would highly recommend Elderwood. We were sad to have him leave.

We researched a few assisted livings for our Mother and decided on Elderwood Village at Greece. There was a very smooth transition when signing as Elderwood changed from Brookdale. Change can be difficult for an elderly parent, however, this was a perfect change for Mom. She is very happy with the Staff, new friends and her 3 meals a day. The food is what she comments on daily as being very good. She transferred from a one bedroom apartment, alone all day, to a family oriented facility. There are activities that she has not done before and is up for each challenge. It was a very good move for our family. Thank you Elderwood Village!!

I was looking for an assisted living community for my mom that was not too far from me. I was referred to Brookdale Fairport and once I took the tour and spoke with the staff, I felt confident that she would be safe and well cared for there. The staff is great. They are very friendly and truly care about the residents there. My mom would comment on how good the food was. The residence is clean and well taken care of. I was very happy to have her there and felt relieved knowing knowing that she was well cared for and she was safe. I would recommend this assisted living community.

My aunt has been there since December and has been doing good. We started looking at places because she was not safe to be at home and she didnt want to live with family. She is doing more now than she was at home. She goes on trips and attends the happy hour. The facillity does the cleaning and manages her doctors appointments. She is making alot of friends as well. One of my aunt friends needed a facility as well and we encouraged them to consider Brookdale.

The staff at this community are friendly and helpful. Mom likes the food and they do have plenty of options. There is a full calendar of daily activities. The community is clean, bright and well maintained. I would recommend this community.

The staff are pleasant, receptive and helpful. Mom enjoys the dining staff and the medication technicians. The food is good, however it seemed a little salty. They offer daily activities. The activities director is nice and good at encouraging the residents to participate in them. The community is clean and I would recommend this community.

Our family was very satisfied w/ the facility and care as was my Mother who was a patient and has returned home. Anthony

My mom has been there a week an a half she is adjusting very well. They are very helpful in getting all medication changed over to their pharmacy. They are helping her to get to the activity's and meals until she learns her away around. They were very good in helping me make this decision and doing the paper work and Doctor things we needed to do. I would recommend Brookdale West Side to any of my fiends if they needed someplace to help with their parents.

I have given a five star overall rating. We toured facilities that had larger rooms, but they were almost $1,000 more a month. The studio is large enough for a twin bed, small table, recliner, tv and small refrigerator. People are very caring and helpful to the tenants. The reason I put four stars under care services is because when my Dad pulls the cord in his room it takes at least 20 minutes for someone to respond. In my mind that is too slow of a response. Thankfully, in my Dad's case, it was not an emergency. Overall, this is very nice and comfortable with caring staff for the money.

I recently toured Tonawanda Manor and was extremely impressed by the facility, the bright atmosphere and the exceptional courteous staff! Right away, I could not wait to put my application in for my mother! I know she will be extremely happy there! It is a bright and very accommodating facility with a beauty parlor and even an ice cream parlor which my mother will love! The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the dining room was beautiful, and although there is a wait list, as Mom does not have private insurance, it is worth the wait!

We were thrilled with the friendliness and quick service we received. The atmosphere is homey and friendly by both the staff and the clients. Our questions were answered patiently and issues were explained clearly. They were considerate and thoughtful in their responses to our family needs and issues.

Mom just moved in on Monday and today is only Friday, but so far we have been very impressed with Elderwood in West Seneca. Everyone has been very friendly, helpful and supportive. Making this type of change is not easy and the staff recognizes that and works with people to make the transition as easy as possible. The food is good and there are several activities to choose from if wanted.

Everyone seems to know my Mom by name even though she never met them before. She loves the food.

From our first meetings, through move in and now in our second month, all has progressed with as little stress possible.Not an easy decision or transition however the administration and staff at Emeritus Colonie Manor has eased our family and especially our Dad into this new stage of living. He is comfortable, safe and well cared for. We pay an enhanced fee (still 1/2 the cost of other local residences) as my Dad is visually impaired and also receives shots daily. Still independent and treated as a person with dignity. He has also made new friends and is very social. We can rest knowing that we have made a good choice.

The community is beautiful. It's great. I'm keeping it on my list for myself. They were great! I would recommend it to anyone. It just wasn't the best fit for our needs at the time.
