Meadow Woods Assisted Living has overall been a good experience. The staff has been real helpful and the outreach director has been really helpful. They do have the same activities over and over again. Other than that things are going well.

York Gardens couldn't handle my dad so they had to change him to memory care. In memory care he was surrounded by crazy people that were really irritating him. The staff were nice good people, they were just a little overwhelmed. They really were super kind people and they did try but I really think they have staffing issues. Overall it just wasn't the place for him and we pulled him out.

I have been quite impressed with Emeritus (now Brookdale) at Champlin Shores. Particularly with how friendly their staff has been. For example, the person that serves the breakfast is very friendly and checking in to make sure you are not only satisfied but fully pleased. They sure are really friendly. Their staff is very good. My husband does not like it too much here, but that's not due to any fault on their end. He enjoys that I enjoy it, but he is only here for me.

With Towerlight, I feel the activities could be better, they don't seem to challenge my loved one or anything like that. Otherwise she loves it, and there's good things to be said about the food, and the staff is great as well.

They seem to be doing a good job so far. I don't really have any specific complaints. I think their food is pretty good. I would rate them about a four.

My experience with Emeritus at Champlin Shores had been fine. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to my mother's needs. They keep the facility clean and tidy. The food is well. I do feel right now they're understaffed. I feel things would ruin a bit more smooth is they had more staff.

Liked this place a lot (for myself) but do not entirely see my dad here except he would love the fireplaces. I would have to do his meds and laundry to get even close to the price range he would agree to. Plus he insists he wishes to stay in faribault (but not where I have picked)-destination yet unknown.....may have to force him into a place (studio which is not available) and this would be my second pick so far-first being Keystone.

We really liked this facility. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable and welcomed. The Activities Director's dog jaunted around, greeting residents and making the place feel more like home. As we toured, Tami provided great information and responded to all of our questions. The building looked and smelled clean. Several housekeepers were hard at work as we greeted them. They were friendly and ready to help any resident when needed. In fact, one gentleman sought out the housekeeper and thanked her profusely for changing his bed linens. He remarked how lovely it was to snuggle in clean sheets and appreciated her hard work to make the beds. I love this kind of reciprocity in action! We met several residents who happily greeted us and shared their positive recommendations. We came away with the opinion that this is a happy community ready to welcome newcomers.

So far things have gone very well with Cherrywood Pointe. It's a very nice looking new facility, and I like the set-up. I like that the memory care section has access to a secure outside patio area. The staff have all been very friendly and professional, and for the most part the care provided has been very good. They do seem a bit short staffed at times. I think they could do a bit better when it comes to adhering to the laundry/bathing/room cleaning schedules, and could do better communicating these schedules to families.

Just beginning to look at Memory Care. Nice facility, good location for me. Didn't like the lack of privacy in the shared rooms.

Cherrywood Pointe was a wonderful place for my Mom's respite care. The staff was very attentive to any questions or concerns we had. The food was very good and the activities were very helpful in keeping the residents occupied and active. The caregivers were friendly and showed great care toward the residents.

There is no federal funding here, so if they run out of money then they will have to move, or we will have to pay. There were some mistakes with the medication management. She really liked the friendliness of the staff and residents. The first time we went the food was great. Since then there have been some complaints, I think they could use some help in the kitchen. One of the things they promoted was this nice walking path down by the creek, and it's a really steep horrible ramp, there are not steps or handrails to get down to the path.

Place was clean and new. I liked that it was smaller. I think the activities will suit my Mom well. The availability is limited. There might be a studio open soon but a one bedroom has a long wait list.

It was a nice place. I just thought that it was too big, I felt like she would get lost and become a number. It was huge!! It was clean and the people were friendly, I just couldn't see her getting much one on one attention, there.

It was ok, but not for our Mom. We are looking for a one bedroom with a kitchen and Meadow Woods does not have kitchens or kitchenettes. The rooms are extremely small. It was the extremely cold day and for some reason they told the residents to stay in their rooms. I found this disturbing. You'd think they would be providing MORE activities for the residents, not less.

It's only been about 10 days since moving my mom in so don't have much to say yet. Facility is nice and the employees have been nice. I think it will be a good place for my mom and she seems to have adjusted well so far. Cannot actually rate all of the items below as I have not had enough time to observe/evaluate care services and activities. Should send this survey out after more time has passed.

My Mom and I really enjoyed our visit and tour with Marti. She gave us a great overview of the community and answered our questions. We were very impressed with Vernon Terrace and also reasonable and affordable rent.

It was really nice but the apartments were too small - at least the apartments that the lady was able to show me.

My Dad and I toured this place last week. It is #3 on their list of choices.

Absolutely beautiful and livelier members, but may be harder for him to find and connect with current pals commuting from there. Nice to be living with livelier people, but that requires changing rooms when more support is needed.
