It seems after COVID, there's not any qualified staff or licensed staff for the proper care needed. But that seems to be the Norm for most facilities like this. For the amount we were paying, I expect everything to be done.

My loved one is currently a resident at Towerlight Senior Living and the overall experience has been good for him at this facility so far. The friendliness, staff and care services have been great. We are very happy with Towerlight Senior Living. I would recommend this facility to others.

My loved one was previously a resident at Vernon Terrace of Edina and the experience was not a good one. The Memory Care unit is on the ground floor and they have fire exits that can't be locked. My loved one went through the fire exits several times, setting off the fire alarm and alerting the fire department. So the facility told us that we needed to find a new place for him because they could no longer care for him. They helped us get him into a sister facility. We liked the staff at Vernon Terrace, but the overall experience there wasn't as good as I'd hoped.

New management with five Executive Directors within one year timeframe. Basic minimum services costly, in comparison to other independent living communities. Emphasis appears to be focused on attaining corporate profit rather than thoughtful measures which could easily be extended to independent residents.

Main issues include short staffed, and inconsistent med admin and escort to meals and activities when it is indicated in the level of care we pay for.

They can improve on communication with families and residents. We have had issues since move in. No new resident orientation so my loved one doesn't know all the rules and stuff. They promised things that have not happened. Some staff members are not professional. Issues with management not returning calls.

I'm not very pleased. Up front, they are all so friendly and they make it sound so wonderful. I know in these times and days they are short-staffed. Meals are always cold. They do try, the activities are okay. With the care - they're just not all on the same page and I could not recommend them to anyone right now. After 5pm I don't see any care whatsoever nor do I see any security. I don't know, I'm just really up in the air right now. When going and touring, they of course, made it all sound wonderful and like they care. But, right now I'm not sure, they may be working on it. I know it's hard to get employees, but for the care, there should be no exceptions. I know of numerous fallings of the elderly and they don't seem to be around. There are some exceptional people there, but when it comes to care and issues being handled - there always seems to be a dead end. It goes nowhere, nothing is taken care of and nothing seems to be addressed.

When we first moved in, it was fabulous. The original staff bent over backwards to meet our needs and get everything done in a timely manner. And it was just fabulous. But they are going through a lot of transitions right now with staff leaving, and they're having a hard time getting replacements. So we're just struggling a little more. The staff they do have are fabulous. They're all great people. The transition for nursing staff has been a little harder. They're just having a hard time getting up to speed. Overall the staff work hard to keep the facility very neat and clean. And they're always willing to come in promptly and do extra requests like carpet cleaning. The maintenance staff has been great. My loved ones love the music programs but don't really participate in a lot of the activities. The food is good overall but can be a little bit repetitive. But the staff in the cafeteria have been wonderful. There's just been a huge transition, which has made things more difficult, for instance getting responses back and getting a medical care plan in place. But they were good to refer us for hospice care. That was a very appropriate referral at the time, and it's working well.

Pretty decent for Assisted Living apartments. Cost comparable with other facilities I've visited around the metro. They're with the Ebenezer Society, under the Fairview system. So there's an effort to run things smoothly. I am disappointed by the meals which have gone downhill in the past couple of years. Some of the care attendants could be more attentive and gentle. They can do better. This is a place best for seniors that have mobility and can provide somewhat for themselves. Can't recommend it's right for everyone, so many great facilities to choose from in the area.

I went on a tour here and it was good but long they think you have to go to every room. The staff was helpful and answered all my questions. It was a brand new building so it was nice but it was to big and spread out to much. There was a huge hallway you have to go down to get anywhere and the rooms were just to far away from anything. Dad didn't qualify for this anyways because they are income based. I recommend families tour many places before making a decision.

I toured York Gardens on behalf of my husband, and while I did like the low resident to caregiver ration, I was not comfortable with the very long hallways there. Each hallway had about 20 rooms in between with no place to for residents to stop and rest. I would have rather they had little sitting areas in between.

Our tour of this community was very nice. The community looked great. The staff was kind, and helpful. This community really stood out to me. It was a great experience overall, my tour went well.

After having so much trouble with the Brookdale community in California, I don't want to consider this as an option. I did visit, and the community was quite nice.

I feel that I did not have a good tour. I did not see much here and I believe an update in decoration and furniture may brighten up the community. It did look and seem to be clean within the facility. My tour guide was on time for our meeting and they also were knowledgeable about the community care. Overall It was not inviting to me.

They keep it very clean, and the staff is pretty friendly. They have pretty good activities, and the food is good as well. They didn't respond to a call button though, and we eventually had to call 911. We have also been working with them on the invoicing for about three weeks, and about 8 out of 10 residents I speak with seem to have billing issues as well.

Had all the right necessities for Mom but I did not think that it was very clean.

They don't accept Medicare so they're off our list (if they did accept it, they'd rate 5 stars). Nice facility.

Neither Tami nor Stephanie had the time to give us a tour yesterday, so we will do that next week. Regardless, Tami gave us such a wonderful introduction to the property in our sit-down with her. Mom did not really see the residents 'in action' so could not really form an opinion yet. More to come...

We came for a tour and they weren't ready to give us a presentation. They didn't really sell us on them. We never saw one resident who lived there. That didn't seem right, we asked if they were doing an activity or at a meal. They were just in their rooms apparently. It was beautiful but I didn't like the smell. It was also mixed with assisted living and we weren't looking for that. they seemed to have a lot of different things going on.

They are clean and friendly. There have been some security issues, and there is a lack of activities. They could probably use a little more staff. The immediate care seems to be good. The food is good.
