Distinctive Living

We have had a pretty good experience there. We chose this because it have my mom the freedom and space to wander/walk around. They have a very nice large courtyard and sitting areas outside plus several screens porches. The staff are very nice to the residents. I see them hugging and touching them all the time. Touch is important for people. They try to learn about the residents past life too. Most of the staff are Hispanic and many only speak Spanish but there are enough others for translation. They know what makes the resident happy and what up sets them. I don't see this as a negative. It's just a fact of life there.

Helpful, responsive, engaging staff. The facility is very clean. I would and always do recommend The Chelsea at East Brunswick.

Hello this is [name removed] and I love the Chelsea. They are very good and they have wonderful people working here everybody’s good and [removed] I guess. My favorite part is the activity room with all the activities that they offer. I love you guys take care bye.

Once the staff managers were established (there was a period of continual turnover), we have found people to be responsible and responsive. The staff always seem pleasant and are clearly familiar with my loved one. I do wish there was a greater variety of activities available. I think the residents could be better stimulated. I would recommend this facility, but I would encourage family members to maintain communication to ensure ultimate care.

I would recommend it. I chose this facility for its location, for the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, for the amenities, and for the cost.

It is a high caliber facility, but like most places you still need to visit often and advocate for your loved one. The staff coverage is stretched thin in the late evening. Overall I would recommend The Chelsea at Bridgewater to others looking.

A Place For Mom provided me with a good list of memory care facilities in my area that I could afford. It was great to have that to start with instead of beginning from scratch. Ultimately I selected one of the places recommended and my father has been settling in nicely.

When fully staffed, staff more attentive. All staff personable. Staff offer activities and are pleasant even if resident not interested.

Overall my mom likes it and has had a good experience. She has not been happy with the food lately, but she is picky and I think they are looking for a new cook. Everyone seems real friendly when I go and visit. They all know her by name. There are a few staff she is not fond of, but again that could just be her being difficult. She has not done many activities but seems to enjoy the ones that she has participated in. I am trying to get her more active and out of her apartment.

We feel that out mother is being well taken care of at Inspired Living at Alpharetta. The staff is friendly and attentive. The staff made the move in process very easy. My mother's former Senior Care facility had been in decline for awhile now, we should have moved her to Inspired Living Alpharetta long ago.

When my wife first arrived at Inspired Living two years ago, she was well cared for and the staff took time to make sure she was happy. Now that the Executive Director and Health and Wellness Director are no longer full time at this location I can see the quality of care is not the same as it was when the two directors were full time. The rooms are not as clean, the residents are let with no one watching them for a long time, the upkeep of the building takes much longer to make repairs. I used to see both directors walking through the building checking on residents and the condition of the building every time I was in the building visiting my wife.

The process was a bit overwhelming. Upon check in the floor was a bit dirty but overall ok. [name removed] is the most personable sweet and caring person I've ever met!! They seem to keep the old folks busy. As far as I'm concerned all assisted living facilities are way overpriced.

The front desk staff is excellent. The dining room staff and food is good. The room is nice but . . . The Health Aids don't answer the call button. They do not put in hearing aids every day. They do not open the blinds every day. The Maintenamce staff is worthless. You have to ask at least three times to get things fixed like a closet door off the track.

Thank you for giving her care when I was not able to anymore. I appreciate all that you do to keep her comfortable and cared for. It is nice they only have one floor for her being that she is now in a wheelchair. They take her to the dining room and help her feed herself.

The entire staff is wonderful. I am always greeted with a smile and kind word. My Mom is well cared for and is happy under the circumstances. I would highly recommend Inspired Living to anyone trying to find a placement for their loved one. Thanks to all of you who care for my Mom, I know it can be a thankless job but you are really making a difference.

Receiving excellent care for my Mother. I would like to mention excellent care and assistance from [name removed], [name removed], and staff that assist [name removed]. Too many people to mention. I would recommend Inspired Living Facility.

On [date removed] of this year, during a social/ musical event, mom beckoned my wife over. My wife proceeded to her side, thinking she was tired and wanted to go back to her room. When my wife bent down, [name removed] told her I forgot I was alive! I remember! I remember! The music had sparked a familiar pathway to her past. This would not have happened if she was still living at home alone. Our family’s participation in her care has been more taxing than I expected, but ultimately it is a gift for our family to be so intimately involved in this 97 year olds life.

My mother has been a resident at Inspired Living at Lakewood Ranch for the last 6 months. We previewed 5 facilities in the Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch/Bradenton area. But not one seemed to be as good a fit for her as Inspired Living. The staff is wonderful. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, which meant a lot since she was not only going from living alone but the move required she relocate to another state to be close to family. Of all the places we considered, Inspired Living has the nicest outdoor space. There are front porches to gather as well as a large back area which includes a pier overlooking a large lake and decking/walkways leading to an outdoor pool and bar area. All spaces are easily accessible for her use in a scooter. Although meals are served during specific hours, a resident can order food from the dining room all day long. I had heard wonderful things about the food, but honestly it is a little disappointing as far as variety. [Name removed], the manager, has heard the complaints and is working on some changes. The residents are extremely friendly. There are weekly trips to Walmart or dollar store via the bus but they do provide transportation to doctor's appts or other appts within I believe 8 miles. There is a physician who comes weekly and she is fabulous. There is a beauty salon and nail salon. Activities include bingo, poker, karaoke, music, and special "themed" events. The transition to an Assisted Living situation is difficult, at best, but these folks have made it quite nice. My mother has settled in and has new friends. All is good!

It's ok but you need to figure lots of things out for yourself as a family member. Who to talk to for different aspects such as long term ins., Dr care , who does billing, these are just a few. We picked this community because it was close to family than other places.

Overall experience was good but administration was very unorganized. Newer facility, smaller/more manageable for mom, and the location. I would recommend to others.
