Distinctive Living

The entire staff is wonderful. I am always greeted with a smile and kind word. My Mom is well cared for and is happy under the circumstances. I would highly recommend Inspired Living to anyone trying to find a placement for their loved one. Thanks to all of you who care for my Mom, I know it can be a thankless job but you are really making a difference.

Receiving excellent care for my Mother. I would like to mention excellent care and assistance from [name removed], [name removed], and staff that assist [name removed]. Too many people to mention. I would recommend Inspired Living Facility.

On [date removed] of this year, during a social/ musical event, mom beckoned my wife over. My wife proceeded to her side, thinking she was tired and wanted to go back to her room. When my wife bent down, [name removed] told her I forgot I was alive! I remember! I remember! The music had sparked a familiar pathway to her past. This would not have happened if she was still living at home alone. Our family’s participation in her care has been more taxing than I expected, but ultimately it is a gift for our family to be so intimately involved in this 97 year olds life.

My mother has been a resident at Inspired Living at Lakewood Ranch for the last 6 months. We previewed 5 facilities in the Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch/Bradenton area. But not one seemed to be as good a fit for her as Inspired Living. The staff is wonderful. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, which meant a lot since she was not only going from living alone but the move required she relocate to another state to be close to family. Of all the places we considered, Inspired Living has the nicest outdoor space. There are front porches to gather as well as a large back area which includes a pier overlooking a large lake and decking/walkways leading to an outdoor pool and bar area. All spaces are easily accessible for her use in a scooter. Although meals are served during specific hours, a resident can order food from the dining room all day long. I had heard wonderful things about the food, but honestly it is a little disappointing as far as variety. [Name removed], the manager, has heard the complaints and is working on some changes. The residents are extremely friendly. There are weekly trips to Walmart or dollar store via the bus but they do provide transportation to doctor's appts or other appts within I believe 8 miles. There is a physician who comes weekly and she is fabulous. There is a beauty salon and nail salon. Activities include bingo, poker, karaoke, music, and special "themed" events. The transition to an Assisted Living situation is difficult, at best, but these folks have made it quite nice. My mother has settled in and has new friends. All is good!

My loved one is currently a resident at Inspired Living at Delray and his experience at this facility has been very good so far. The move in process was easy. The facility is clean and pleasant. The pricing is fair. The cleanliness, friendliness and staff are great. I would definitely recommend Inspired Living at Delray to others.

It's ok but you need to figure lots of things out for yourself as a family member. Who to talk to for different aspects such as long term ins., Dr care , who does billing, these are just a few. We picked this community because it was close to family than other places.

Overall experience was good but administration was very unorganized. Newer facility, smaller/more manageable for mom, and the location. I would recommend to others.

Inspired Living is a beautiful, modern and extremely clean assisted-living facility that also offers memory care. The individual rooms available for your loved ones are spacious and sun-filled, with large bathrooms and walk-in showers. Bring their favorite furniture to make it feel like home sweet home, with your peace of mind secured. Daily activities are scheduled for the residents to pick & choose. One place I see room for improvement is in the dining room. Getting orders taken and delivered to the tables can take much too long for these residents when only one or two servers are working. Waiting an hour for a meal is unacceptable for more than one reason. If it's a problem keeping good servers, perhaps a different system should be considered. Maybe a choice of cafeteria line (with assistance) vs. table service would work. Just a thought. Overall, Inspired Living has been a great experience for our loved one and family.

They did a good job taking care of Mom. I would recommend them. We picked this community, because it was a smaller community, location (proximity to my home and work), friendly staff, and cost.

My father is a resident at Brooklyn Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care and his experience at this facility has been very good. The staff is very friendly to all of the residents and they treat them really nice. I am there, I see it. The food is good. The move in process was easy. There's always room for improvement, but we've had very few problems so far. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Staff at Inspired Living try to make residents and their families feel at home. The management, [name removed] and [name removed]are approachable and understanding. [name removed] and [name removed] at reception are friendly. The activities director, [name removed], provides new and routine activities. She knows the residents personalities and what works for individuals. Her staff, [name removed] [name removed] [name removed] and [name removed] keep them busy and happy. [name removed] is in charge of nursing and caregivers, but she’s not hiding in her office. She and her nurses, [name removed] and [name removed], are often chatting and comforting residents. [name removed[ may be new, but she has such a positive “can do” attitude while keeping her fellow caregivers on their toes and helping residents. Caregivers who truly care like [name removed] [name removed] [name removed] [name removed] [name removed] and [name removed] to name a few can make a real difference in the residents’ day. [name removed] and housekeeping staff try to keep up with maintenance issues, especially [name removed] who is diligent yet always has a smile to share.

They do have weekly entertainment which is very nice. I think that the night time as well as weekend staff that come in could be more patient with the residents. I do know that all facilities are having trouble getting help though, it is not their fault! I have only seen a few meals, but from what I see, they could have more green vegetables and fruit and less starchy meals.

Inspired living was very nice based off of what we saw during our tour experience there. The door locks were to advanced for my Mom. We liked that every stage of dementia was separated.

Very open and friendly facility. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Selection of food in the dining room is really good. Rooms are spacious. Medical personnel on site and helpful. Offer daily activities and nice outdoor area for relaxing during favorable weather.

Nice place, lack of communication between the staff is horrible. The newer staff members seem to have little training. Most of the residents I interact with do ok, but not enough proactive care. Mostly reactive care.

Based on the experience we have had so far, the building itself is nice and the rooms are good size. However the elevators need an upgrade and they could improve on their online billing. We would recommend The Chelsea at Bridgewater to other families.

Staff is competent, professional and very caring. Lots of effort into keeping everything and everyone clean and comfortably dressed. Meals are well balanced and have good eye appeal. Cameras ensure that staff has eyes on everyone in social areas and hallways—very important for safety. Always an engaging activity going on. Exceeds any other similar facility in my experience. There are products that would do a better job of eliminating odors and my only suggestion for improvement would be to order and use them.

The employee turn around s excessive. Too many new people not doing their job. Cell phones are EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME!! Why are they not made to put them away? Visitors are helping at meal time due to no one being around. Cutlery/napkins are not prepped. Why is tat? There are too many standing around when they can help a resident eat their meals...fix this please.

[name removed] tries to provide diverse activities for her residents. She plans ahead and is as inclusive as practical. She knows her residents and is quite patient with them individually and with group activities.

My family and loved one have had a good experience with Inspired Living. The community is kept clean. There needs to be more medical care staff to attend to the residents. The communication with the family in regards to medications of our loved one could have been better. It would be nice have a direct answer about this subject. [name removed] and [name removed] are wonderful. [name removed] seems to be all business. It would also be nice to have more information provided to the families about a private aide.
