Husband has private room w/view of inner courtyard. Staff wonderful w/care and responsiveness. Healthful delicious meals w/lots of variety. Feel very fortunate to have found Brookdale just b4 pandemic hit. Could not have continued to care or him isolated on my own. Its done a wonderful job keeping residents safe and well cared for.

The staff members there are awesome, however the food and activities could be a little bit better. They could make some improvements on notifying families when there is a change in their visiting hours and policy whether it is verbal or through a newsletter, because it has been changing a lot lately.

We chose Westgate Village at the time because it was close to where we lived, we just came upon it and it has worked out great. The staff members here are so friendly and helpful and accommodating to families. There is not one person I could say anything bad about. Based on my mom's feedback she is not a big fan of the food, so they could use some improvement there. They do provide a lot of activities, for example they had a St Patrick's day party and it was my parents anniversary so they toasted to them, things like that mean a lot. It is a fantastic place and I would absolutely recommend them.

This is a wonderful community for seniors that want to remain active. The communication between the staff and our family was very good and they kept us well informed. I would recommend this community to others

[name removed] was very friendly & answered all questions without hesitation! She showed us 3 different rooms, the dining area, the outdoor area, the library & more. We saw lots of residents doing activities & they all seemed very happy & spoke to us. The staff we saw were also very friendly. All questions was answered, [name removed] even shows us the mailboxes! She gave us brochures about additional services like Klauus and Borrowed Sisters as well. Very impressed! High on the list for consideration!

We have absolutely no complaints. The office people are extremely helpful and friendly. Everyone who works there calls the residents by name, which makes it seem very personalized. When our loved one needs something done in her room, like hanging something on the wall, they take care of it for her. The best thing has been not having to cook, as our loved one was struggling doing that for herself. But she can still keep food in her room if she doesn't want what they're serving at any given moment. We like that cleaning of the room is part of the base price. They clean towels and sheets once a week, and they offer personal laundry at an extra charge. We love that for most things the pricing is all-inclusive, and we won't have to leave if our loved one needs more help over time. This was the most affordable option we could find, and we don't feel like anything is missing that you would get from a more expensive place. They also provide all meals, whereas other places did not. Because of Covid, they've been delivering food to the rooms. They're about to re-open the dining room, and the food is definitely better there, fresher and warmer. But otherwise no complaints about the food. The staff regularly ask the residents what they like, or what they'd like to see more or less of. My loved one is participating in a lot of activities, which gets her up and out of her room. The calendar is always full of options to choose from. Our loved one absolutely loves the activities director.

I would recommend Soltice Senior Living. I like that most everything is done for us. The staff are always willing to listen to you and answer any questions. My only complaint is the food. Sometimes it's excellent, but that's very rare. Generally the vegetables are a mix rather than one good vegetable at a meal. The food frequently isn't hot, even though it's still being served in the dining room. Most of their baked goods are overcooked and dry. The pancakes you have to use a knife to cut them, which you shouldn't have to. But overall I'm happy with my experience here.

We go in to visit 2-3 times a week, and it's so clean. They help my loved one so much, they help her get out of bed, make the bed, put on shoes, bring in 3 meals a day, turn down the bed at night. How much more can we ask? The only thing they're lacking is a chocolate on her pillow! Can I give the staff 10 stars? They're always bringing her little extras, like an extra piece of cake. They're so sweet to our loved one. The food is great, and there's always several options If you don't like any of the options, you can order off menu. It took our loved one several months to get settled in, but now every single day she goes down to play games, and attends birthday parties. There's always something going on. They used to have PT led exercises, but the physical therapist left, and our loved one misses that a lot. But the activity director is great. The value is great here as well. They gave us Covid vaccinations as we were direct care givers. They're doing a major renovation, with new paint, new carpeting, new lighting, a new dining room that is absolutely gorgeous, a new pool. You try and find me another place this nice for the money. It's so convenient, right off the highway. It really is a beautiful place. If you have a family member in this area that needs assisted or independent living, definitely take them here. It's nice that you can get a 3-year lock on pricing as well for a slightly higher monthly rate. I don't have anything negative to say.

Brookdale, Hoffman Estates is a beautiful community that is made possible by a highly professional, friendly, caring, and interested staff. The building itself is newly renovated and has all the amenities, supported by the amazing staff. Everything is clean and inviting. Gracious living at a reasonable cost!

I have lived here for 9 years and have enjoyed every day. The activities are great. The staff is excellent. Exectuvie Director is fanstastic. I would recommend this facility to anyone that asks.

I have lived at Solstice for 5 years. I enjoy activities, my neighbors, and having help from caregivers. It was lonely at home by myself. After my husband passed. Needed a change. Solstice was the answer.

I would definitely recommend Dogwood Estates. It's close to everything, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the community itself is friendly. They don't restrict family members during Covid. They're allowing one family member as a health care provider for the resident. They also still allow the resident to leave for appointments as needed. From what I've observed, the lobby and common spaces are clean, and they do their best to keep the resident apartments clean as well Everyone there is really happy and open. The food used to be a 5/5, but has gone down to a 3 with Covid. It seems like they're striking a good balance between trying to offer activities while also keep people safe.

I can't think of anything they do that could be improved upon. Anything that's not perfect is not their fault, just circumstance. It's a bit expensive, but they have so much staff to look after us. The staff is friendly, and they seem to go out of their way to be helpful. If you're not getting what you need, it's your fault because you don't speak up. I really like the freedom I have here. I'm not really sequestered in any fashion now. If I don't get out and join, that's my own fault.

I toured this facility to look for options for my parents for the near future. My parents only request is that they be very close to the beach, this facility has ocean views and is about a 5 minute brisk walk to the board walk (I timed it!). The building looks old from the outside but inside the facility is clean and recently updated. The 1BR apartment I was shown has ocean AND lake views! There are plenty of activities and clubs that my parents would be interested in.

There are so many reasons to love this place. The staff go above and beyond at every turn. Bellaire is smaller than most retirement communities and this is a definite plus. They treat my father like family. He really looks forward to activities and this has made a huge difference in his quality of life. I have a profound appreciation of the love and care that they have provided to him. They made the move in and move out process so easy. Unfortunately, he is moving back north but he has been so happy here. They are even making the move stress free. I cannot overstate the quality of the staff and facilities here. Thank you for the time and effort. Managers are stellar!

This place is a gem that is hidden away and all I have to say is that I have everything I could of wanted. For the last six months I have been happy every single morning when I wake up. I have the most perfect beautiful one bedroom apartment, a living room, a small kitchen with a storage room and a screened in patio. There is carpet in the living room and bedroom, and tile in the kitchen and bathroom. It is just a miracle, the staff is very personable and phenomenal. The chef in the kitchen so far as made every meal perfectly. Even though I live on the independent side, I still get three meals a day and house keeping comes once a week.

During the few months I was at Elm Park Estates I felt it was a good place for independent living. It helped elderly people get out and mingle with each other, it helped those who were by themselves to interact, which was easy to do because there were always things going on.
