The people at Solstice were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great tour of the facility. It seems to be a good value for the money.

I toured Brookdale San Jose and I liked it, the tour was a 5 out of 5. They had a lot of nice things that seemed geared more towards assisted and independent living. On the 2nd and 3rd look, the rooms in memory care were very small and [community name removed] has a huge room that my mom stays in. So the smaller room did not appeal to me, that was the main reason we didn't choose Brookdale. I really liked that Brookdale sent me a lot of emails about caring for someone with dementia, how to choose a facility, and how to take care of the caregiver. They provided a lot of information and that impressed me; but the facility just wasn't a good fit for us.

From the moment we walked into take a tour we have felt welcomed. Our father has been a residents since [date removed]. He is so happy. The staff is amazing! The facility is maintained and clean. Not one complaint!

I thought Arbor View was a very nice facility and very clean. But the apartments were studios. So they had no accommodations for couples who want to stay together. There was no kitchen/kitchenette, and my mom loves to cook. Arbor View was really nice - it just wasn't what we were looking for.

The community is like high school, you have all types of people here. All the people have been willing to talk to me, and welcome me into the dining room to eat with them, and speak to them during meal time. The pendant that the residents wears is included but the service is paid for by the resident, and this wasn't communicated properly to me during the admissions process. The staff have been great to work with. The cottages are off the main building and they have a full kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit. The apartments on site, the residents have to provide their own fridge and such.

My dad was only at The Haven & The Laurels for a short while, but he was pleasantly happy there. The overall experience was absolutely comforting. The experience of moving him in within itself was scary, because it was something we never thought we'd have to do. The staff at The Haven made us feel comfortable with leaving dad there in their care. We initially had a horrible experience with the first hospice service we decided to use. I would never recommend them again. They never follow protocol, didn't follow up on our complaints, and we were just mortified with how they treated dad. The Haven recommend a new hospice service and encouraged us to fire that old service. The new service turned out to be an extremely amazing company. During that time, The Haven had my dads back and the people there picked up the slack from the previous hospice company. They made sure to give us a heads up on what the first service were supposed to be doing, and the fact that they weren't doing it. When we finally hired the new company, The Haven was there holding my hand through it all - as it wasn't a process I wanted to do all over again. I truly believe that had we placed in him another community, we wouldn't have had the same outcome. I would definitely recommend The Haven & The Laurels in Stone Oak to anyone; and especially entrusting them with a parent. It was hard letting go because dad had been living between myself and my sister. It was extremely difficult to allow someone else to care for my dad. We visited a ton of places and we were happy with other places; but all the other communities were a bit too upscale and bougie. The Haven felt like home, and it also felt very comfortable. I can't express the gratitude I have towards the staff there.

My loved ones' emotional and mental status has improved significantly since moving from the previous community to Solstice. The staff have been very responsive to any questions I have by phone, typical a return call within one hour. There are choices for the residents to choose from for meals. There are daily menus and then the resident has the option of ordering off the menu and receiving a sandwich or hamburger instead. There is a calendar with all the activities going on. There is always something for the residents to participate in.

I toured this assisted living community several weeks ago and found the administration, sales, activity, and dining to be TOP NOTCH! We are planning to move our grandmother into Mattison Crossing.

Everyone has been so helpful and my experience so far has been wonderful, I really have no big complaints. The food served is ok but could be better. Overall I would recommend Holiday Vista Del Rio to others.

This is an amazing community with great staff. The community was a too far from family.

Coastal Heights Senior Living is a great place. My mother is happy there. She has made many friends. It's a clean, safe, and friendly environment.

Solstice Senior Living is a wonderful facility. My sister is so happy here. They are having issues with being short staffed just like everybody else, but other that that it has been amazing.

Solstice is a very caring and very personable place. The administrator and director really reached out to my mother-in-law when she first moved in. They made her feel very welcomed and wanted there. They offer transportation to appointments and stores, they allow pets, and I've heard the food is really good. Overall I would absolutely recommend Solstice Senior Living at Austin to others.

The primary reason we chose Liberty Place was the fact that they accept Medicaid. They will keep her until she runs out of money then that will kick in so we will never have to move her again. The staff here have gone above and beyond to make sure my mom as well as our family feels comfortable. I would absolutely recommend them to others.

My mom is happy there. They have lot to offer. There are good, friendly staff there. They promote and encourage getting to know other residents, which my mom likes. And the apartments are really nice as well.

The friendliness of the staff members and their helpfulness to this day has been amazing, if we have any type of questions or concerns we can bring it to their attention and it is solved right away. Solstice Senior Living is a really a nice community and based on our overall experience we would recommend this community to other families.

I couldn't recommend another facility more for the price. I trust having my family member stay there. All the staff have been very helpful. They don't treat their community members like random people. They all have names and hobbies and personalities that are unique. And the staff recognize each person's uniqueness. They engage with their clientele and don't just collect a check and move on. The apartments are beautiful, newly renovated, and spacious. They have cleaning staff that helps out. There is access to emergency cords if needed. Living on her own for the first time at age 99, I'm grateful that my loved one can still have her independence, and we don't have to take that away from her.

I would move into Brookdale myself if I could afford it. The staff are nice, the food is good, and there are a lot of activities offered. They take the residents on outings to the mall and other places. You can play cards, or participate in group or individual activities. Each week there's a bulletin program where you can see all the activities they're going to have. They have guests who come in too, it's really a nice place. My friend is there and she's trying to take advantage of all the activities. I'm trying to motivate her to interact and engage as she can be a bit shy. I took a look at the food menu and they have a lot of good things I like. They serve coconut shrimp, fish, and different salads & soups. They give you the option of soup or salad, a main dish, two sides, and 3 different options for dessert. For drinks they have water, sodas, coffee, tea, and juice. You can mix and match, and eat what you want. I've also tasted it before and it was good, it wasn't bland. Overall I would definitely recommend Brookdale to others.

Absolutely make sure you check out Solstice. A lot of these places all know of each other - I recommend when touring that you ask them what they think about each other. At Solstice, we've witnessed genuine care for their residents, which was very important to us. They've been terrific support so far. Their team has been incredibly helpful and caring. Our loved one has made friends. He seems happy with the food, and there seem to be a lot of activities. The cost is less than other places we looked at, and we've been very pleased with Solstice.
